she walked beside kordell holding hands and the others who were all dressed up for the night aswell

after the long morning of family calls it was time for the night

they went near the table that had their champagne drinks and put their cups up

"cheers!" everyone cheered

then they drank out their cups and talked near the table like they always did

the night air was warm a soft breeze rolling in from the ocean as joy and kordell sat on the plush daybed at soul ties their favorite little escape spot in the villa

the villa's background noise was distant but here? It felt like they were in their own little world

joy leaned against kordell's side with her legs stretched out as she lazily traced a pattern on his arm

"you know for a man who swore he wasn't gonna catch feelings in this villa you be looking at me like you're in deep" joy said

kordell raised an eyebrow smiling

"and you be acting like you ain't just as gone as me dawg" kordell said

"boy please I'm chilling" joy scoffed sitting up slightly

joy giggled running her fingers through his hair

he hummed leaning in closer

before she can respond he cupped her face and pressed his lips to hers soft and lingering

she smiled against his lips melting into him as his hands settled on her waist

the kiss deepened for a moment before joy pulled away with a dreamy sigh

joy bit her lip staring at him like he just said the best thing in the world

they stayed there wrapped up in each other for a few minutes before kordell spoke up

"man I don't even know where to begin because nothing I say will ever be enough to explain what you mean to me coming into this villa I didn't expect to find someone like you someone who makes me feel like I can be soft like I don't always have to have my guard up I never thought I'd meet a woman who could see me really see me for who I am and still choose me every day" kordell started with his voice steady but filled with emotion

joy's eyes shimmered under the lights and she squeezed his hand slightly

"when I messed up I was terrified I'd lost you forever and that scared me more than anything because the truth is joy... you are the best thing that has ever happened to me I don't care about this competition about winning I already won when I met you" kordell continued with his voice thick with regret

joy's lips trembled with her eyes brimming with unshed tears

her other hand came up to cover her mouth as she tried to hold back the flood of emotions

joy let out a small emotional laugh shaking her head as more tears spilled over

JOY WAS NOW IN THE MAKEUP room taking off her makeup with the other girls sparking up conversation about the events that took place

"kass did you and rob kiss?" joy asked while putting her hair in a bun

after the other girls left the makeup room it was only joy and leah who were sparking up a conversation

the two girls made their way to the shared room seeing everyone already in bed talking

the light then went dark and every couple was making out in bed except joy and kordell, leah and miguel

joy kissed the boys in the lips before moving her body to the side seeing leah was reaching her arm out

IT WAS FINALLY MORNING time in the villa and joy sat up and the bed while the window blinds opened apart

she yawned before looking over at kordell who still had his eyes closed

"you guys how are you feeling?" jana asked everyone in the room

"i feel so good" joy said rubbing her eyes

joy chuckled before she laid back down pulling the blanket up laying her head on kordell's chest

AFTER joy finished getting ready putting on a black bikini and straightening her hair she went outside downstairs to eat breakfast that kordell made her

she sat at the kitchen stool and started eating the eggs and avocado toast kordell made for her

"you had a argument with kaylor again?" miguel said sitting beside her which made her nod her head

"yes she started with me" joy said

"what happened?" miguel said

"she asked me if i seen her small dollar tree mirror and I shook my head and didn't talk and of course she took that like it was bad and i was trying her so she came at me like she's such an idiot" joy said as she picked up her water bottle drinking from it

"I know for a fact you guys will never forgive eachother" miguel chuckled

"yes.. like why did she choose me to beef with out of all people? like hello? daniela was here and she was all up in your man at casa but you didn't say anything to her? no offense to daniela if she's watching" joy said

"it's actually really crazy like I hate seeing you go off" miguel said

after joy finished eating breakfast she went upstairs to the balcony with nicole and kassy sitting at the beach chairs

for a few other minutes the girls talked about nicole is facetime with kendall is family then it went to joy

they made their way to the decorated game area that was decorated with white and pink flowers and a big heart shaped slide and this long table where the islanders will be sitting

the islanders went towards the table and sat down while kendall and nicole went first

they watched as kendall lifted up nicole's veil then kissed her on the lips

"aww!" joy said while clapping her hands with the other islanders

that's when kendall and nicole went down the slide that was suppose to be an aisle while getting sprayed with water that was coming out of decorated champagne bottles

after they went out the water tub they stood up and made their way to the white slippery dance floor beside it and danced

then nicole threw her bouquet to the islanders and joy immediately catched it screaming like she just won the lottery ticket

"y'all bout to get married!" miguel said to both kordell and joy

joy laughed and went back to looking at nicole and kendall who went towards the wedding cake and dig through the cake with their mouths without using their hands to find the key to their honeymoon suite

the islanders laughed at them but enjoyed the moment

"where is it?" kendall shouted with vanilla icing all over his face

nicole came back up from the cake with the key that in her mouth that was covered up with cake icing

the other islanders cheered for them and clapped loudly

after devouring the cake nicole and kendall made it to the heart shaped bed and nicole immediately threw kendall down and once he laid down she went on his lap

the islanders watched them make out and they all stood up throwing whatever that was in their baskets at them

"this is one crazy challenge" joy said

after that she threw her bouquet and rob catched it then handed it to jana

then when they went to the cake aaron pulled her face down and smashed it on the cake which made her whine his name

joy laughed but covered her mouth cause she wasn't ready for no argument right now while she was literally on the urge of getting married

after aaron found the key they made their way to the heart shaped bed and started making out

everyone stood up and threw confetti at them like they did kendall and nicole

after kaylor and aaron came back it was finally jana and kenny and joy cheered so loud for them

after the dance floor jana threw her bouquet but it didn't make it to the islanders it made it infront of the table on the ground which made everyone go quiet and say "ohs"

the islanders started booing especially joy and leah who were booing loudly which made jana gasp and laugh

after that jana and kenny went to the cake and kenny smashed his face down in the cake devouring it

jana slowly bit the cake before coming back up watching the boy beside her eat the cake

she then licked the frosting off the cake while Jenny continued to eat the cake with his face down

"you're doing great" jana said pulling out a fork out of no where then grabbing sum cake

joy laughed out loudly at the girl who randomly had a fork hidden somewhere

"your doing great babe" jana said as she continued to eat the cake with a cake while kenny continued to devour it with his face

"get nasty with it! why she got a fork in her hand?" miguel shouted then said pointing at jana

"go kenny you go!" jana hyped while she continued to eat the cake with her fork

kenny grabbed it with his teeth then came up from the cake

the islanders cheered for them while kenny flexed his muscles

after that the couple went to the bed and jana went on top of kenny

after jana and kenny it was kassy and rob's turn and they went to the aisle

"go rob!" joy cheered while clapping her hands

him and kassy slid down the aisle into the water before they stood up and went to the dance floor

kassy started twerking on him which made all the girls cheer

after rob and kassy it was finally kordell and joy's turn and they made their way towards the aisle

joy stood there with her back turned and kordell behind her acting like he was pulling a ring out

joy then turned around facing him while he was on his knees acting like he was opening a ring box

the other islanders cheered for them loudly

joy smiled widely then went on her knees smashing her lips onto

the two laid down then wrapped their arms together before sliding down the aisle while water splashed on them

once they made it in the water kordell helped joy helped and slowly made their way towards the dance floor

the couple started break dancing and then joy slid down and did the splits and kordell did the worm

"get it joy!" jana hyped and clapped her hands

joy shook her ass on kordell while kordell humped her from behind

"oh shit!" rob shouted

after the dancing they went towards the cake and kordell stopped joy from putting her head down

"let me do it" kordell said

kordell ignored her and just went down and started devouring the cake

joy slowly put her face towards and licked some frosting off before backing away so it didn't get all over her face

"yea kordell!" the boys all cheered for him

it took kordell seconds to find the key once he got it in his mouth joy cheered waving her hands in the air

joy threw bouquet and the person who catched it was leah

"ayeee" joy cheered clapping her hands

the couple made their way towards the heart shape bed and joy immediately went on kordell's lap

joy started acting like she was riding him which made all the couples cheer

the challenge was finally over after miguel and leah went and everyone made it back to the villa

still in the challenge clothes they went to the sofa's and joy and kordell went to to one

kordell and joy plopped onto the sofa both drenched in water and smeared in cake like two kids who lost a food fight

joy wiped at her arms only to spread the mess further while kordell flicked a chunk of sponge cake off his knee with a dramatic groan

"I look like a damn birthday cake" kordell muttered staring at the icing dripping from his shorts

joy gave him a side-eye

"you smell like one too a melted one" joy said

kordell sniffed his shirt and cringed

"why do I smell like vanilla and chlorine? like... what kinda cursed bakery is this?" kordell said

joy looked at him like he just committed a crime

jana was killing everyone cause she was acting like she was in a Gordon Ramsey tv show

joy and kordell were the slowest cause they were too busy joking and laughing around

"ladies you guys are doing great! keep up the good work!" jana said

"yo you tryna get a job at a five-star restaurant after this? cause this is lowkey impressive" kordell teased watching joy move

"unlike you I actually know how to cook mr. 'just throw some seasoning on it and pray.'" joy said

"first of all my seasoning technique is elite second, you acting like you wasn't just asking me how much paprika to use" kordell scoffed dramatically clutching his chest

"I was testing you! making sure you actually knew what you were doing" joy laughed nudging him with her hip

before kordell could respond jana's voice rang out from across the kitchen where she was standing like a general surveying her troops

"what's taking so long? that chicken better be crispy or I'm sending both of you out of my kitchen!" jana shouted

kordell turned around with a grin

"damn jana when did you turn into gordon ramsey?" kordell said

"since y'all started playing and not cooking! I need perfection! I need flavor! I need-" jana shot back with her hands on her hips

"jana you literally almost burnt the bread" rob called from the counter

"first of all I did that on purpose It's called charred for effect" jana gasped in mock outrage

the whole kitchen burst into laughter kordell and joy included

joy wiped a tear from her eye shaking her head

"you're actually unserious" joy said

"and you're about to be unserious if that chicken isn't golden brown in the next five minutes!" jana said

kordell grabbed the spatula from joy's hand and saluted

"yes chef!" kordell said

jana gave him an approving nod before dramatically tossing a towel over her shoulder and walking off like a true kitchen boss

joy turned back to kordell giggling

"I can't take y'all seriously" joy said

kordell smiled at her enjoying the way she looked when she laughed

"I mean at least we're making this fun imagine cooking with someone boring" kordell said

"yeah I'm definitely not trying to cook with someone who has zero personality" joy said

"so you admit I got personality?" kordell joked

joy rolled her eyes but couldn't stop smiling

"don't get ahead of yourself chef kordell" joy joked right back

kordell chuckled bumping her hip again

"nah just admit you like being in the kitchen with me" kordell said

joy glanced at him with a playful glint in her eyes

"I tolerate it" joy joked

"close enough" kordell said

as they continued cooking, their laughter and lighthearted teasing filled the villa, making the moment feel warm, easy, and just for a second like they were the only two in the room

the islanders made their way to the big long white table that was set up for them setting the dishes they cooked down

they all clapped and cheered once they set up the table perfectly

"girls on that side boys on this side" aaron said

the girls went on the right side and the boys stayed at the left side of the table

"let's make it a selfie" leah said

the islanders cheered once again and started posing at the table while leah took the photo off her phone

joy poked her lips out and put her hand under her chin like she was blowing out a kiss and leah took the photo

after leah took the photo she made her way back to the table and sat down

a hour later after eating and doing speeches the islanders clapped their hands until kaylor's phone chimed

"shit" kendall said

"oh god" joy said

"noo" nicole said

"islanders please gather at the fire pit immediately #AllGoodThingsMustComeToAnEnd" kaylor read

"aw hell no!" kordell said

"I'm gonna cry" joy said as she stood up from her chair walking over to kordell

"don't cry or your gonna make me cry" miguel said

"I'll try" joy said

the islanders made their way to the fire pit and sat beside their couple

once they were all settled sitting there nervously with their hearts pounding nicole's phone chimed

they all snapped their heads towards nicole who picked up her phone

"america has been voting for their favorite couple" nicole read

"oh please not this again" joy whispered but she paused once she heard kordell's phone ring

kordell slowly picked it up his pocket and held it up which made joy look at the screen aswell

"will all islanders please stand up" kordell read

and that's when all of them stood beside eachother nervously

"love you guys" nicole said

"love you all" kendall said

the islanders hugged before they let go and stood right back in their spots

"in no particular order the first couple making it to the finale is..." leah read off her phone that chimed

that's when kenny's phone chimed and he picked it up and it really had joy nervous cause she wanted her and kordell to make it to finale like she promised her brothers and mother

"nicole and kendall" kenny read

the islanders cheered for the couple who hugged and kissed

"yes nikki!" joy cheered

right when kendall and nicole sat down kassy's phone rung and she turned it on since it was already in her hand

"the second couple making it to the finale is..." kassy read

"jana and kenny" miguel read off his phone that chimed and smiled

joy and kordell clapped for jana and kenny who's jaws dropped and they immediately kissed and hugged

the islanders clapped and cheered for them

"aww congratulations nay nay!" joy cheered loudly while clapping her hands

jana blew a kiss at her and then she sat down with kenny

"I did not see that coming" jana said

that's when kaylor's phone chimed and joy immediately snapped her head towards the girl who had a frown on her face

"in no particular order the third couple making it to the finale is..." kaylor read off her phone

joy and kordell interlocked their fingers and they squeezed eachother's hands

"were gonna make it" kordell whispered

"you don't know that" joy whispered

that's when rob's phone chimed and he grabbed it out his overalls pocket

"joy and kordell" rob shouted and smiled widely

everyone cheered and clapped loudly for their two favorite people

joy gasped and kordell jaw dropped and he immediately went to hug the girl he fell hardly for

joy wrapped her arms around his neck while they hugged tightly

"we made it" kordell whispered to her

"we did" joy whispered

the two pulled away and tongue kissed before pulling away and sitting down while everyone continued to cheer for them

"we love you jojo" leah said and reached for joy's hand while she continued to stand

joy grabbed leah's hand and squeezed it before the girl let go and smiled

"love you joy" jana said

"I love you too jana" joy said

joy looked at kordell and smiled widely before the boy went in for another kiss

kordell kissed her all over her face until they heard another phone ring which was kendall's

joy pouted once she seen leah still standing with miguel

leah looked at her and felt like crying cause she really didn't wanna leave the two closest friends she made which was joy and jana

"will kaylor and aaron, kassy and rob, and leah and miguel please stand infront of the firepit" kendall read

joy shook her head slowly once leah waved bye at her and made her way to the front

"I love you" joy mouthed to the nervous girl

"I love you more" leah mouthed back

jana's phone chimed and she picked it up after wiping her tears

"only one more couple will make it to the finale" jana read

joy felt tears slowly rolling down her eyes for both leah and miguel and also rob

she cared but didn't care for kaylor and aaron after their altercation

joy flinched once she felt her phone chiming she slowly picked it up from her lap

"the fourth and final couple making it to the finale is..." joy read off her phone

joy put her phone down and started fanning herself once more tears came down her eyes

kordell cupped her face in his hands and started wiping the tears off her cheeks

"I don't want leah to go" joy whispered as her voice cracked

"joy calm down" kordell said as he still wiped the tears off her face

kenny's phone rung and he picked it up and it had joy's heart pounding

"leah and miguel." kenny read

everyone gasped even joy and jana who looked at eachother with their jaws dropped

joy and jana immediately stood up and ran towards leah who was already running towards them

the three girls hugged eachother and sniffled

"we made it together" joy sniffled

"we did" jana sniffled

"I love you guys" leah sniffled

"we love you too we do" joy sniffled

the girls went back to sit beside their boys while leah and miguel kissed and hugged then sat down

kassy and rob and aaron and kaylor were still up infront standing

nicole's phone chimed and she picked it up sadly staring at the screen

"kassy and rob, and kaylor and aaron you received the fewest votes from america and are therefore dumped from the island" nicole read

after nicole reading rob's phone rung and he picked it up

"you have thirty minutes to pack your bags and say your goodbyes #ThanksForTheMemories #GoneButNotForgotten" rob read

all the islanders that were seated stood up and went towards the others that were standing

joy hugged rob who hugged her tightly while she sniffled

she loved rob, she loved the way they bonded, it was like brother and sister and she hated how he was leaving

of course they had their arguments the beginning of the season but they loved eachother as friends no matter what

"ima miss your jokes and laugh" rob said to the girl who laughed

"Ima miss you and your overalls" joy said

after hugging rob joy went to hug kassy who picked her up which made her laugh

after a few minutes aaron and rob were inside the shared room with the boys while the girls were in the makeup room with kassy

kaylor sat on the edge of the daybed, staring out at the pool with her expression unreadable

joy approached slowly hesitating for only a second before taking a seat next to her

kaylor didn't look over

"didn't think you'd come talk to me" kaylor said

"yeah well... I figured we should" joy sighed resting her elbows on her knees

a beat of silence passed before kaylor finally turned her head with her expression softer than it had been all night

"I'm not gonna lie this kinda sucks" kaylor said while joy nodded her head

"yeah it does" joy said

kaylor exhaled tapping her nails against her knee

"I know we were never cool like that I don't think we ever were meant to be but... I don't wanna leave on bad terms" kaylor said

joy glanced at her then back at the water

"me neither" joy said

they sat in silence again both letting the moment settle in

it wasn't an emotional goodbye

there were no tears, no apologies, no forced words

just an understanding

kaylor tilted her head studying joy for a moment

"you're good at this you know" kaylor said which made joy raise her eyebrow

"good at what?" joy said

"this the villa the way people like you you and I were never gonna be friends again but I can admit that" kaylor let out a small almost amused scoff

"that almost sounded like a compliment" joy smirked slightly

kaylor rolled her eyes but smiled a little

"take it however you want I hope you and kordell win" kaylor said as she stood up smoothing out her dress

joy met her gaze nodding

kaylor gave one last small smile before walking off toward the villa

joy stayed seated watching her go

they weren't friends

they never would be again

but at least in this moment there was no bad blood left behind

after a few minutes the islanders that made it to the finale were not at the exit with the ones who didn't

"we love you guys!" the islanders cheered

kaylor smiled and waved while moving her luggage with aaron and rob and kassy beside her

rob smiled aswell and sent them head nods

the four of them made their way out the exit and the other islanders cheered for them

the final four made their way to the table and sat down after the other four left

"we're the final four!" joy said making the others clap their hands

"no more bombshells no more challenges- just texts" kendall said once he'd heard his phone ring

the islander all laughed once he stopped and pulled the phone out his back pocket

"islanders congratulations on making it to the finale of love island USA 2024 #FabulousFour #ItsTheFourCouplesForMe" kendall read off the phone

the couples all cheered in sync and hyped eachother up while clapping their hands

joy & kordell's beach hut confessional:

"we made it to the finale I know my mom's gonna be smiling ear to ear once she sees this episode!" joy smiled

"it will forever be me and you joy im so happy for us yo" kordell smiled looking at the girl

joy and kordell stared at eachother before they bursted out laughing looking at the camera

the night ended with the four couples cheering out loud in the villa
