Kai

What just happened?

All I did was grab the bag from her and next thing you know I'm captivated in her beautiful hazel eyes. They were so gorgeous and I almost fainted from the way she was looking at me. We stayed there for what felt like hours but was really seconds just staring into each other's souls. It was livid and hallucinating and all I wanted to do was-

Wait, what the fuck am I talking about? I'm the biggest gang leader in the world why in the fuck am I talking about a girl this way? This can't be happening, I have to hold back. I can't let something like this happen again. It was too much last time I can't see it happening to her.

Diamonds was in the kitchen getting ice cream for us since she told me to just head up stairs, but all I wanted to do was be near her.

Get your shit together Finnel! Don't think about shit like this !!

"Can I come in?" Diamonds knocking on Liam's door broke me out of my thoughts. Blake stood up and walked over to the door to reveal Diamonds holding up four cones of ice cream in her hands. She looked quite cute with that small smile on her face as she walked in. She handed us all a cone and tried her hardest to avoid lingering on me for a little longer as she held the dessert to me.

"What are you guys playing?" She asked when she plopped onto the sofa between Blake and Liam.

"COD, can you play for me I have to go to the bathroom," Liam said as he handed her the controller.

"Sure," Liam rushed to the bathroom as fast as he could while I watched Diamond's fingers moving around in a fast motion on the controller. Her eyes were glued to the screen and I watched as her irises searched throughout it, and it was absolutely mesmerizing.

Liam came back out and sank into the sofa as he watched them play, "Yo Blake she's so much better than you!" He laughed. I jumped from the bean bag and stood behind the sofa to see what they were looking at. And indeed, Diamonds was definitely better than Blake, "I know dude now shut the fuck up," he snapped.

They were playing for a couple more minutes before they finally died, "Blake! Dude why'd you have to be injured! If you didn't have be such a pussy I wouldn't have had to revive your headass!" Diamonds complained.

Liam and I laughed at Blake at the realization that a girl was better than him at COD.

"Oh shut up you guys I'm going to bed," Blake jumped up from his spot on the sofa and headed off to the guest bedroom.

"Me too," Diamonds yawned as she made her way towards the door, "Goodnight guys," she said before she left.

I said my goodnight to Liam and headed back into one of the guest bedrooms I always stayed in when I was here. As I got ready for bed I couldn't help but think about why Diamonds would be involved in fighting and racing. What else could she do? How skilled was she?

Diamonds

I woke up at 4:00 a.m. this morning and couldn't fall back asleep. So, as always, I woke up and caught up on some exercise. I did a basic routine; running, jump rope, pushups, situps, and I also practiced a little bit of my fighting moves. After I took a shower I slipped on some leggings and a long hoodie that dropped to my knees. I started making breakfast for the guys and I for when they woke up that consisted of pancakes, bacon, and eggs.

After I finished on the last bacon they all came down stairs rubbing the sleep out of their eyes as they made their way to the island. I set some plates in front of them and we greeted each other with good mornings.

Once Blake was fully awake he looked me up and down in disgust, "Diamonds you're really not going to keep wearing that are you?" He deadpanned.

"Why? What's wrong with it?" I said looking for any stains on my clothing.

"You could literally be the hottest girl in school if you didn't bury yourself in hoodies, that's what's wrong," he said as he forcefully shoved an egg in his mouth.

"Oh no no no-"

"Well why not?"

"Because if I dressed different everybody would be looking at me and if people were looking at me then that means I would be noticed and if I were noticed people might consider me 'popular' and if I'm popular it means attention and if it's attention then people would try and talk to me so no," I rambled on. I don't know why he can't get that through his thick skull, I mean, hasn't he known this?

"You know you don't have to talk to them, I mean, we don't talk to anybody but each other," Liam explained. I mean, should I really change my style? It wouldn't hurt anybody right?

"Ok fine, but nothing slutty," I warned. The nodded their heads and quickly finished their breakfast and dropped their plates in the sink.

Once they were rushing to my bedroom I took my time up the stairs. Kai came back down to me and hoisted my on his shoulder and to my bedroom, "Kai! Put me down now!" I squirmed.

"You're taking too long princess, we have to get going soon," I could practically feel him smirking at the view he's getting. But I'm not complaining about the one I'm getting either.

When Kai finally set me down Blake and Liam had already set down a new outfit for me to wear, "You know I could've just picked out some clothes myself," I said bluntly as I grabbed the clothes from them.

"No, we didn't know," Liam said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and dragged my feet to the bathroom. After I had gotten changed I gelled my hair into a low slick ponytail and clipped on a set of hoop earrings. I slid on my All Star Adidas shoes and stepped out of the bathroom.

"Perfect," Kai breathed. I blushed at his comment and looked down at my shoes. It wasn't a bad outfit actually, I felt comfortable and it showed my curves a little which I admired. I walked over to my vanity and picked out a golden necklace that had a heart on it, I had a hard time putting it on but then I felt a pair of warm hands cover my own, "I got it," he whispered in my ear.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as Kai looked at me through the reflection of the mirror. As his hands touched the back of my neck I started to feel flustered and it suddenly started to get hot. His lips brushed against my ear which made my breath hitch, and I shut my eyes quickly, trying to ignore the tingles that are running across my epidermis a mile per minute. I finally heard the *click* of the necklace coming together and I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding. I felt his warm, soft hands rub my bare shoulders and that helped me relax.

Once I had finally steadied my breathing again I turned back around to Kai who was already looking at me. I placed his hands back at his sides and rushed over to my backpack. I checked if everything was inside and once I was certain I slung it over my shoulder and grabbed my phone, "Let's get going," I said enthusiastically.

I walked back down to the living room where Blake and Liam were waiting for us. I didn't even know they left...

"How about one of us go with Diamonds and the other goes with Blake," Liam suggested. Before I could say anything Kai had already grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the garage. I looked over my shoulder for Liam and Blake to help but they just shrugged their shoulders and hurried out the front door.

I opened the garage door and slid into the driver's seat with Kai in tow. I pulled out of the garage and through the driveway and started following the others to school. The car ride was silent but it gave me enough time to think which I was grateful for...

Holy mother of Mercy I don't even know where to start..

Remember that you can't give in though, you can't let him get to you.

Don't fucking break down your walls all for some guy...

But he's also not some guy, he's a 17 year old gang leader for Christ's sake...

Thanks a lot Kai...

"Hm?"

I looked over to Kai in confusion, "What?"

"I don't know you mumbled my name under your breath," he said.

Did I really say that out loud?

" Yeah, you did," he chuckled. I blushed awkwardly and continued my way to school.

I parked in Kai's spot once we got to the school and I could already start feeling the eyes on my car before I even got out. I gripped onto the steering wheel until my knuckles turned white and I finally released. I looked over to Kai who was looking at me confusedly, but I ignored it and jumped out of my car and made a bee line to my locker.

As I stepped inside the hallway everybody's eyes were focussed on me. I absolutely despised these lurking eyes and I tried to ignore them as I made my way to my locker. I pulled out my morning books and continued to hear whispers, "Where are her hoodies?"

"Look who grew a pair of balls to wear something nice for once... "

"She looks pretty... "

"Ugh I never knew Diamonds could look so dull... "

Now those snarky comments I knew were from the cheerleaders. They were probably mad that I decided to help out a person they were bullying right in front of them, so cliché.

"Now what do we have here?" I heard a high pitched voice say from behind me. I closed my locker and turned around boredly to the person standing before me. It was Rachel Tilton, cheerleading captain. From what I've learned, she's a total spoiled bitch that thinks she can get what she wants whenever she wants.

Behind her are the jocks, all of them wearing lettermen's jackets to let people know they're on the football team. They act like minions to this so-called 'Queen.'

"Hm, nice try sweetie but even if you put a lid over it, it's still garbage," Rachel smirked.

Oh honey, you're one to talk...

As I was about to walk away I felt a heavy arm drape over my shoulder. The familiar scent of cinnamon and hazelnut filled my nostrils and my mind went hazy. I looked up to see Kai pulling me into his chest and glaring at the jocks to back away. Liam and Blake soon appeared on either side of me and puffed their chests out and stood at their full height. They looked intimidating and even though they were quiet, they basically screamed, 'back up before you're killed.'

"Blake baby, how you've been?" Rachel said seductively while twirling one of her golden locks and batting her fake eyelashes. I couldn't help but gag at how she was trying to get out of this situation, you can't just hoe your way out of things all the time.

"Rachel, looking slutty as ever," Blake quickly fired back as Liam and Kai smirked and I held back a chuckle. Rachel glared at me and was about to speak up before Kai beat her to it, "Back up Rachel," he boomed. The hallways were now silent and all of their heads were turned to us, and the urge to punch someone was now stronger than ever.

Her eyes went wide and she quickly scurried away with the jocks in tow. Once they were out of my sight I turned to all the boys and nodded a 'thank you' to them.

"Ugh I forgot she won't speak to us in public," Blake groaned as we made our way to homeroom. They snickered at his complaint and I sat in the very back of the classroom with the boys sitting around me.

The whole morning the boys always made sure to sit around me during classes so the jocks didn't bother me, the teachers didn't even question it but instead kept their heads down as if they weren't seeing the new seating arrangement. It was sweet and I don't even know why they were doing what they were doing but I chose to ignore it.

When the bell rung for lunch I hurried out of the classroom and through the busy hallways to get to my car. Before I could open the front door I felt a hand on my shoulder and as a reflex I pulled on their wrist and twisted it so they were now pinned against the wall.

"PRECIOUS!" I immediately let go once I realized it was Blake and I couldn't help but giggle at how stupid I was. The hallways were now clear and I used this as my chance to talk, "I'm sorry Blakey I didn't mean to, reflex," I explained between giggles.

I turned around at the roar of laughters behind me to see Liam and Kai making their way over to us while clutching their stomachs.

"Dude you should've seen your face!" Kai laughed.

"Nice going step sissy!" Liam complimented between laughters.

"Yeah yeah whatever, Dia where were you going anyways?" Blake looked at me curiously.

"Out to eat, I forgot to pack lunch and I'm not about to eat prison food," I said as I made my way towards the parking lot.

"Well you guys, I guess we're going out for lunch today!" Liam yelled once we were outside. I rounded my car for the drivers side and shook my head in embarrassment, "Idiots," I mumbled.
