The bell for last class rang and I would usually leave school early but I don't have Robin with me. So instead, I'm just going to chill in the library and wait for school to end, maybe even get started in my book report that's due by next week.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay in the library?" Blake asked as I grabbed my backpack from him. The boys have been slightly worried for me since the situation yesterday, they're even scared of leaving me alone with my thoughts. I don't blame them, I'm even scared of being alone with my thoughts, but I have the book to distract me. These boys are like parents that are always on my back but it's actually cute to see them this way; all protective and such.
I nodded my head in response and started walking in the direction of the library while Blake went to his last class for the day. The hallways slowly started to clear up and I suddenly felt a pair of eyes watching me from behind - I stopped in my tracks and my palms started to get sweaty when the negative thoughts started to flood my mind. My breathing became uneven as I stood there frozen in my spot. My hands gripped onto the straps of my back pack as I started to hear their screams again.
The screams of agony rang through my ears once again as if I were reliving it all over again. The kids he would drag down to the basement, the way he'd make me watch him torture my elementary friends, my heart beating a mile a minute against my ribcage, I was scared it was going to leap out any second. I shut my eyes tightly, trying to get rid of the thoughts and the words that rang through my ears.
"You ruined me, Diamonds. And soon, I will ruin you..."
I felt someone's hand touch my shoulder and I jumped back in fear. My breathing became heavy of panic but I turned around to see Kai looking at me with concern. Students started packing the hallways once again and making their way home while I just stood in the middle of the hallway. I then noticed Liam and Blake standing beside him, also watching me curiously.
"Princess, can you hear me?" Kai's muffled voice started taking over my hearing and I started to take deep breaths.
After my heart beat started to steady, I looked back up to them with a small assuring smile. I tilted my head towards the door and I started making my way to the car. How long have I been standing there for? Did it really last that long?
Liam ran up from behind me and opened the car door when Kai unlocked it. I slid in without making eye contact with him and sat there trying to control my breathing once again.
What's happening to me? It hasn't been this bad in what seems like forever. Maybe because, he's back, and he probably has a plan to make things hurt more than they did before. But how far would he go just to make my life hell?
The car door shut beside me and I looked over to Kai who was starting the engine. "Where are we going now?" I asked more weakly than I would have wanted.
"Today, we're gonna start setting up your bedroom. You excited?" He asked with a big grin on his face.
I started dancing in my seat out of happiness with a big smile plastered on my face. I actually was excited because I can finally decorate it the way I want it to be, I was so thrilled to start decorating. I think I was more excited than most people but I didn't care. I was happy and I needed this, it was absolutely amazing. The thought of Jewels immediately dissolved from my thoughts as I started to think about how I wanted my new room to be arranged.
Kai let out a laugh at my excitement, like a genuine laugh that made me melt into my seat. I stopped dancing and stared at him in surprise while he kept glancing between the road and I.
"What?" He asked with a smile that was so beautiful, I could've died right there.
"Your laugh makes me happy," I blurted out without thinking, but I didn't regret it. That was the first time I've admitted that I was happy in a long time, and I loved it.
"Really?" He asked surprised.
"Yeah, this whole trip makes me happy actually. It's nice that you're doing this for me, I really appreciate it," I admitted still smiling.
He stopped at a light and stared at me admiringly, "Of course princess, anything for you." He whispered. I felt a blush creep on to my cheeks at his words and I sat back properly into my seat once the light turned green.
"What happened when I was in the hallway?" I wondered. I still wanted to know how long I was standing there for, I've never felt that much fear since he first left.
"The bell rang and we went to the library to go get you - but instead we found you in the middle of the hallway with your head down. You were shaking a little bit and when we came closer, we could hear you breathing unevenly so we tried calling your name but you didn't answer. Then you jumped when I touched you," he explained. I was thankful he explained it vividly to me so if there's a next time, I can take control of it. I can't keep letting the memories get to me like that, I felt absolutely weak throughout my body like I could do nothing to stop it. Now I realized that I felt exhausted just by those thoughts.
"We're here," we parked outside of a gigantic furniture store and I jumped out before Kai could turn off the engine. I saw Liam and Blake approaching us with smiles on their faces when they saw my excitement.
"You excited precious?" Blake taunted. I nodded my head enthusiastically and saw Kai rounding the car to approach us. I ran up to him and jumped into his arms while my legs wrapped around his torso.
"Woah, okay. Well we're gonna do a lot of shopping for you today so keep that energy alright?" Kai laughed. I nodded my head eagerly and crawled around his body so I was now on his back. We walked towards the doors of the store where we met up with other men with outlines of cards on their leather jackets. They acknowledged our presence with a nod and we walked into the store.
Many customers who glanced our way scurried away in fear around the store. I snuggled my nose into the crook of Kai's neck and took in his intoxicating cologne and let out a sigh. I felt him tap my thigh and I looked up to see him looking at me from the corner of his eye, "Go pick princess."
I jumped down and pulled Liam with me through the aisles as I looked for things. I'm pretty sure I even pulled his shoulder out of his socket but who cares right? I started throwing different things into the basket that he found along the way until I was satisfied. After finding many accessories, we decided to go meet up with the guys for help with the furniture.
We saw Kai discussing something to a group of employees and they turned their heads towards us when we approached. We walked around the store picking different types of furniture until I thought it was enough for my new room. All with me skipping through the store in excitement and joy while the employees carried the furniture to checkout.
For the rest of the day we bought clothes, a flat screen, and even some groceries until I decided that I had to get my things from the other house. I dreaded the drive there and started nervously playing with my fingers at the thought of Jewels being there to take me, even though Liam told me nobody would be home.
When we parked in the driveway I ran out of the car and hurriedly escalated the stairs to my bedroom. Once I was finally inside, I caught my breath and took out my suitcases and duffel bag. I started neatly folding my clothes and lingerie into the suitcases and dumped my shoes into another. I placed my photos from my photo wall in a shoebox and put it into the small suitcases that held all of my other accessories. After I was done the gang members brought them down into the moving truck that they brought with them which carried all of my furniture and bags that we had bought.
After double checking if I had missed anything I grabbed my laptop and made my way down the stairs where the three musketeers were waiting.
"You hungry princess?" Kai asked as he led me to his car. I nodded my head as he opened the car door for me and watched me slide in. He rounded the car and got into the driver's seat and started the engine.
"Shouldn't I be the one holding the door open for you Mr. Big Bad Gang Leader?" I teased.
"I may be a gang leader but you're my princess," he smirked. A blush crept up to my cheeks and I used my hair as curtains to shield my face. The way that this man makes me feel is unexplainable. He just payed for everything I picked today even through the countless amounts of times I said no. He even got so annoyed with me insisting so many times that he took my wallet away from me - I mean it was nice but I didn't want him to think that I can't do everything for myself.
After five minutes of driving we pulled into a parking spot in front of a cozy restaurant. Kai opened my door for me and led me to the front with Liam and Blake in tow. I looked around for the moving truck but they were no where in sight.
"They went to go build up the furniture sweetheart," Kai said as if he was reading my mind. I shaped my mouth with an 'o' as we continued into the restaurant.
We walked in to be met with a girl who looked around our age with bleached blonde hair and brown eyes. She had make up caked onto her face and her eyes lit up at the sight of the boys walking in, completely ignoring me.
"How may I help you gentlemen?" She asked looking at Kai up and down.
"Reservations under Finnel," Kai said sternly. She lingered her eyes on Liam for a little longer before checking her sheet for any reservations.
"Right this way," she said as she grabbed the menus. She led us to a private dining area in the back of the restaurant and passed the menus out to us when we sat down.
"Any drinks?" She asked as she pulled out a pen and pad.
"Water," Blake said.
"Me too," Liam said.
"Me three," Kai chimed in. He looked over to me awaiting my answer and I just nodded my head towards him, agreeing with water.
"Make that four," Blake said.
"Alright, I'll be right back with your drinks," she gave Kai a wink and walked away, adding a little hip into her strut.
"I'm starving," Liam said while looking through the menu.
"That's why we're here dumbass," I smiled. He rolled his eyes and set his menu down when the waitress came back with a tray of our drinks.
"Now what would you gentlemen like to eat," she asked as she bit the part of her pen that clicks.
I showed my order to Kai and he said my order for me. The rest said their orders and she walked away once again for our food.
"Okay princess, I wanna know what else you can do," Kai asked as he set his folded his hands on the table.
"I can do a lot of things. I can eat, sleep, breathe-"
"No, like your skills," he interrupted.
"I have a skill in eating, breathing, sleeping," I said and they groaned in annoyance.
"I guess we'll just have to find out later on huh," Blake asked as he sipped on his drink. I nodded my head in a silly manner and changed the subject quickly.

After dinner we all went back to Kai's house so the three could discuss some gang business and I could set up my room. The waitress was being flirty towards Kai during the whole meal and as his rejection, he made out with me in front of her. Blake and Liam chuckled at her reaction and he pulled away to give her a smug look. I swear her face was so red with embarrassment she switched places with another waitress.
I climbed up the stairs and walked past the many doors until I finally found the one that's a few doors down from Kai's. When I walked into my new room the furniture had already been set up but needed to be placed. I tied my hair up into a high bun and started pushing around the furniture to it's rightful place.
After pushing the furniture around I started setting up the fairy lights around my room with a small latter I found in the supply closet in the hallway. I set up my photo wall near the door and put my picture frames on the dressers, along with some different things I bought. I hid some guns and knives around the room in case of emergencies and started setting out the soft rugs Kai had payed for and set the small coffee table on top of it. I arranged the throw pillows on the big window seat that overlooked the forest below and organized my books on the shelf we had also bought by author.
I would've hung up my clothes but a couple of maids had already done that for me before I came in. I was glad it were women who arranged my lingerie because they understood if it were men, I would knock their lights out. After setting up my room I set up my things in the bathroom and took a small shower.
The water washed down onto my body and I thought about my training I needed to do before I fight for Williams in a few days. I felt like I haven't fought in forever and I really needed to let out some steam too, I've been holding in all of my anger for Jewels for this past week and I needed to take it out on somebody. This is also one reason why I continued to fight for Williams, it was a nice way to relieve myself of my emotions and find a way back to myself. I know it sounds pretty weird but fighting helps me get back to my everyday self.
After I was done with my shower I searched the cupboards for any towels and wrapped one around my body. I finished moisturizing my body and searched my new closet for any clothes to wear for bed, slipping on some silky silver pajama shorts and a grey crop top, stopping an inch below my breasts and outlining them perfectly. I turned off my lights and slid under the covers, hoping for a nice night of sleep before I heard yelling downstairs that was preventing me from my rest.
I groaned as I sat up in my bed and trudged to my closet to put a bra on. I walked out of my new bedroom and trudged down the stairs and followed the sound of the yelling. I stopped before two large wooden doors and walked in without knocking. The room looked like an office with shelves that lined the walls and filing cabinets on either side of the big wooden desk that had a desktop computer sitting on top of it and other pieces of papers spread around it.
All three boys were yelling at each other in incoherent words since they were all speaking in one. They all looked like they were panicking about something so I cleared my throat and they're heads turned to me.
"Diamonds, what are you doing up?" Liam asked with his eyebrow arched. It was then did I realize that two other gang members were in the room as well and eyeing my body hungrily, I guess I was so troubled about the yelling I forgot to put a hoodie on. Blake followed my vision and growled at the men that were eyeing me, and they walked out of the room to give us some privacy.
I made a confused expression towards Kai and he immediately understood what I was trying to ask, "There is a problem with some shipments and we assume the Royal Aces had something to do with it. We can't figure it out and we're just slightly panicking," Kai admitted, putting emphasis on 'slightly'.
I rolled my eyes and pushed him away from behind his desk and sat in his big cushiony chair. I examined the data on the computer and sure enough, there was definitely a problem. I started typing away on the keyboard and a few seconds later the data of the shipments were on the screen. I looked through to find a name that wasn't Liam, Blake's, or Kai's and eventually an unfamiliar name popped up.
Jack Thompson.
I did a small back ground check on Jack by hacking into the FBI's servers and found out that he certainly was part of the Royal Aces, but why would he want to steal the Deck of Cards' shipments?
I hacked into his emails and printed out an email that was proof that he had found out information about the shipment and claimed he was going to steal it. I searched among the sea of papers that were scattered on the desk and pulled out different ones that held information about their shipment. I placed them in a file folder and changed the shipment information back to Kai's name and exited the server, erasing any trace of me looking through it.
I stacked the many papers into a neat pile and placed them in the corner of his desk and got up from the chair, ignoring the looks of surprise the men held when they were watching my process. I handed the folder to Kai who looked at me in shock and walked back towards the door.
"Now shut up," I yelled over my shoulder before making my way back up to my bedroom.
