ANGEL
Upon opening her eyes, the first thing Angel saw was her long blonde hair draped over hard muscles.
She lifted her head enough to see she was partly lying on Nash, one leg resting over both of his.
âOh, my God, Iâm so sorry. I donât know how I ended up on top of you. You could have pushed me off.â Angel made no attempt to move and hoped he wouldnât shift either.
Looking up at his face, her gaze flickered from his eyes to his mouth again and again.
~It would be so easy to kiss him right now.~
âI just woke up and found you this way.â Nashâs voice sounded strained. âI didnât want to disturb you. But now that youâre awake, Iâd like to take a shower, if you donât mind?â
Angel lowered her chin onto his chest and sent a wicked grin his way. âI canâ¦if thatâs really what you want.â
Nash laughed before a faux-serious expression settled on his features. âYouâre playing with fire. You wouldnât want to get burned, would you?â
He flipped her over and pinned her hands above her head. With her body trapped under his as he shook his head at her, she breathed faster, deeper.
Angel looked at his lips, then into his eyes.
âThereâs a fire burning inside me, Nash. I want you to put it out.â She whispered the words, but her body was screaming out for him, and she showed him by rubbing her leg against him.
Nashâs mouth came crashing into hers, his kiss so demanding that he pushed her head into the pillow. She was drowning in the taste of his lips, and she felt his cock straining against her.
Before she could moan his name, Nash broke off the kiss and pushed himself off the bed. âWe mustnât⦠Iâll go get us some coffee.â
Before he could reach the door, she ripped his shirt from her body and threw it at him. âThen youâll need this.â Her voice was equal parts frustration and desperation.
Nash picked up the shirt, felt it between his fingers, then slowly cocked his head to look at her. His eyes were on her chest just a moment before he ripped the sheet from her naked body.
Pushing her back down onto her back, Nash jumped on top of Angel. He pressed his lips against hers, and she snaked her arms around his neck.
There was no turning back. Damn everything and everyone else. All she wanted was him. She needed to make love to him, to feel Nash embedded in her.
Angel felt his finger slide over her wetness and inside her. She arched her hips up, loving his touch.
Her body trembled when he lifted his mouth from hers and moved down, leaving hot wet kisses as he made his way lower, lower, until he got between her legs.
She moaned loudly when he blew hot, steamy breath on her sex, and then his tongue was on her, lapping at her, drawing her into his mouth, flicking and sucking.
Angel pushed her fingers through his hair, tugging on it when her body started to jerk from her orgasm, and she screamed when he continued beyond it, leaving her a quivering mass of pleasure.
Nash pulled back and smiled at her hooded gaze, then he took her one hand and placed it around his thick shaft.
She thought she had died and gone to heaven as he skillfully caressed every inch of her while she rubbed his manhood up and down.
He leaned in, spreading her legs around him, and kissed her eyes, her cheeks, her nose, and when he sucked on her neck, he entered her.
Angel let out a soft cry when she felt all of him going deep inside her, and once heâd settled, Nash thrust harder and faster.
He surged, again and again, going deeper, harder, pounding her as if to let her know she was his and only his.
She came twice more before he got his own release, and when he collapsed on top of her, his groans ringing loudly in the small room, Angel wrapped her legs around his waist, never wanting to let go.
She smiled, delighting at how different he was between the sheets. Dressed, Nash was a gentleman, as sweet as they come. But under the covers, he was a wild man, a little rough, and very dominant.
Nash rolled off her and onto his side, pulling her into his arms. âIâve wanted to do this from the moment I met you.â
She stroked his cheek. âThat was amazing.â
âI would love to stay here in bed with you all day, but we really have to get going. Iâll buy you breakfast before we head home.â
Giving her a kiss, he got out of bed, stopping at the bathroom door. âWe have time for a shower if youâd care to join me.â
Angel giggled, jumped up, and followed him into the shower.
NASH
Nash pulled his truck up in front of his parentsâ shop, and Moe raced out toward them, jumping on Angel the moment she got out of her seat.
âSo good to see you both. Moe was missing you.â Mildred gave them both a hug. âCan you stay to have a bite to eat?â
âWe ate before we left the motel this morning, and I really have to get back to feed the horses. But everything got delivered.â
âShame about the weather,â Wade said. âI hope the place you stayed was comfortable.â
âThe heater wasnât working very well in our room, so it was a little chilly, but we made it out alive.â
Nash noticed both the parents eyeing each other and he cursed his clumsy choice of words.
~I should have said rooms, not room.~
âAnyway, we just want to pop in to let you know weâre back,â Nash said, trying to change the subject before someone said anything.
âBut itâs still early,â Wade said. âWhy not have a quick bite?â
Nash pointed at the clock. âEarly? Itâs past midday, and the horses havenât eaten yet.â
Wade glanced over, frowned, then checked his watch. âSilly thing is broken again.â
âWell, all right, dear.â Mildred leaned in for another hug. âWeâll see you both later, yes? You are bringing Angel to the concert on Sunday, arenât you?â
Nash looked at Angel. âEvery year, after the church service, there is a concert; usually, a play and some singing. I wasnât sure if youâd want to go.â
Angelâs smile accentuated her full lips. âIâd love to go.â
âThen weâll be there, Mom.â

Arriving home, Nash ran around to the passenger door and took Angel in his arms. âIâm going to take care of the horses. Go inside and stay warm.â
âOr I could help you.â It wasnât a question, and she pulled away and began walking to the barn.
âYou donât have to do that,â he said, following behind her.
She turned to look at him but carried on in the same direction, stepping backward. âI want to help. I need to start pulling my weight here. Youâve done so much for me.â
âYou do too much already. For someone who is supposed to be resting, you cook and clean, not to mention all the help you gave by making cookies and handing out hot cocoa and cider at the park.â
He rubbed the back of his neck and looked anywhere but at her. âAnyway, taking care of work around a ranch is manâs work. Itâs not really suited for women.â
âOh, you didnât just say that?! That is so sexist, and for your information, mister, we women can do anything men can.â
âIâm not saying you canât, but itâs hard work shoveling poop and laying down fresh hay. I wonât let you do that, but you can feed them and give them a good brushing down if youâd like.
âIâll never let a woman do the dirty work, Angel. Thatâs just the way I am.â
âPoop? No, thank you. Youâre right, I think Iâll skip that part.â
She wrinkled her nose, and Nash felt his heart soar.
And so, they got to work: Nash, cleaning up the poop and laying down fresh hay; Angel, feeding the horses and giving them fresh water.
When they were done, they took the horses outside to move around inside the corral, and Nash got a kick out of watching her.
When she caught him, she blushed and hid her face behind her long hair. âWhy are you looking at me like that?â
âI canât get over how well you are doing. You could barely ride the other day, now you look like youâve worked with the animals your whole life.
âNot to mention how you are with everyone in town. You really are a special woman, Angel.â
She walked over to him, careful where she put her boots but keeping her eyes on Nash, and put her arms around his neck, tilting her face up to look at him. âYouâre special too.â
âHow so?â He moved his hands to her waist and pulled her closer.
âYouâre strong, handsome, and such a gentleman.â She opens her mouth and licks her teeth. âAnd youâre a caveman in bed. What is that saying? âSweet on the streets; dirty between the sheets.ââ
He smiled. âSince you helped me with my work out here, Iâll help make dinner and clean up after.â
He glanced at Moe, who started barking. âHeâs either jealous or heâs telling me to kiss you already.â
âMoe knows his stuff.â Angel looked at Nash with a twinkle in her eyes. âStop wasting time and kiss me already.â
He lowered his mouth onto hers, and their kiss was hot and passionate, and just like that, Nash no longer felt the cold winter chill.
Moe barked again.
âMake up your mind,â Nash said. âFirst, you want me to kiss her, then you interrupt.â He rubs his cold nose against Angelâs. âShall we go inside?â
She nodded, hardly able to contain her smile.
âHead on in with Moe and warm up. Iâll bring the horses inside and follow.â
Before long, they were all inside. Nash turned on the tree lights, Angel turned on the radio, and they began making dinner while singing along to the Christmas songs.
âYou really have an amazing voice, Angel. Maybe you are a famous singer?â
She laughed. âWell, I canât be that famous if you donât recognize me. Thanks though.â
âYou know what we should do tomorrow?â
âWhatâs that?â she asked while mashing the potatoes.
âWe should go into town and go skating. I know someone we can borrow some skates from. Would you like to do that?â
âI donât know if I can skate?â
âYou ski, right? Well, itâs almost the same thing.â
âI mean, itâs definitely not. Skiing is on the snow, whereas skating is on ice. But Iâd like to try! Sounds like fun.â
âGood, itâs a date.â
