In the pouring rain, a top–of–the–line Cadillac followed closely behind Yvette’s vehicle. The person in the luxury car only turned away after Yvette returned to Mansions Nine.

Xavier picked up his phone and called Mark. “How’s the investigation going?”

“Someone’s been interfering with our investigation, but our men have found out that Ms. Snyder went to Asnea after leaving the country. We still need more time to find out the details,” Mark answered.

“Alright.” After responding, Xavier leaned back in his seat and pinched his brow.

Asnea! He couldn’t believe that Yvette had been living there all these years. No wonder he hadn’t been able to find her after searching for so long.

After witnessing her unusual behavior that day, He was more certain than ever that Yvette was hiding something from him!

Meanwhile, as soon as Yvette finished a call with Noah and Zachary, she received a call from Daphne. “I’m outside your place. Let’s meet up.”

Outside Mansions Nine, Daphne stood next to a minivan. As she walked toward Yvette, she looked around. “This place sure is grand. It’s no less than Snyder Manor,” Daphne said pointedly.

Yvette had only recently learned that Daphne was now residing in Snyder Manor. After achieving success and fame, Daphne had spared no expense in acquiring the manor.

“I admit that I used to envy you, Yvette. But now, I pity you. Your father’s dead, your family’s ruined, and your mother’s almost non–existent!”

Daphne raised her hand and gripped Yvette’s shoulder. She was all smiles as she asked, “After all these years, do you know where your mother and brother went? If you don’t want them to find out that you’re back, then get the hell out of here and go back abroad!

“A lost puppy like you should stay abroad forever and never come back. Got it?”
