Chapter 339
In Sangine County, Xavier was engrossed in important matters related to his new company when he suddenly received several text messages.
âAt 10:24 on December 12th, a transaction of 888,000 dollars was made using card number XX.
âAt 10:26 on December 12th, a transaction of 388,000 dollars was made using card number XX.
âAt 11:00 on December 12th, a transaction of 1,888,000 dollars was made using card number XX.â
In just half an hour, millions of dollars had been spent. Xavier could naturally afford this amount of spending.
However, he was curious about what a kid could spend so much money on in such a short time. Furthermore, it was important to note that Zachary should still be in school at the moment.
Xavier made a call. âGo find out what Noah is up to at the kindergarten.â
âYes, sir.â
In the adjacent room, Yvette and the nurse were taking care of Viola as she lay in bed. Yvette had just found out that Xavier had hired a new nurse, Hannah Greene.
Viola shared Ellie had infuriated Xavier and caused a scene. Yvette was taken aback and couldnât help but dwell on the incident.
âYou shouldâve recorded a video for me.â Yvette grinned. She intended to engage in conversation with Viola to distract her and relieve the discomfort in her body.
âI should have! I regret not doing it.â Then, Viola informed Hannah that she wanted to drink some water. The latter promptly went downstairs to fetch it.
As soon as Hannah left, Viola grabbed Yvetteâs hand and asked, âYvvy, now that he has brought Zac
back, nothing bad will happen, right?â
Yvette wasnât certain either, but she still said, âDonât worry. He has lost his vision and memory. He
canât do much now.â
Viola sighed. âAlas. Iâve been feeling anxious lately.â
When Viola had spent some time alone with Xavier, she had discovered that he wasnât as terrible as she had initially thought. However, she couldnât be certain that he would consistently treat Yvette well.
Yvette.comforted Viola and reassured her not to worry. She didnât leave the room until Viola became
tired.
After going downstairs, Yvette nonchalantly glanced at Xavierâs closed door. She was struggling with nausea due to her pregnancy and longed to take a walk. She walked through the snow, feeling the cold wind on her face.
After walking for a while, Yvette suddenly noticed a person not far away. It was Yara, who dressed exquisitely. She was walking over to her.

Yvette was lost in thought, vividly recalling how Yara had forced her into marriage.

Yara had visited Yvette recently. She had decided against meeting Yvette upon seeing the shabby
house the latter lived in.
However, after Terrence had received a warning from Xavier yesterday, Yara had realized that Yvette
still held value.
âYvvy, Iâve finally found you,â Yara said as she approached, wearing leather gloves. She reached out and gently took Yvetteâs hand, her eyes filled with love.
Yvette was all too familiar with the changes in Yaraâs behavior. Yara would only be pleasant to her when she needed help.
Yvette withdrew her hand. âMadam Yara, you should just call me Yvette. Weâve severed our mother- daughter relationship.â
Yara was stunned, and she instinctively slipped her hand back into her coat. She declared coldly,â Blood is thicker than water. You canât simply sever the motherâdaughter bond with mere words.â
Yvette clenched her hands tightly, her fingertips digging deep into her palms. âWhat are you trying to do here? Are you here to defend Terrence?â
Yara remained silent, her eyes scanning Yvette from head to toe. It was evident that Yvette had undergone a remarkable transformation and mastered the art of dressing up and applying makeup.
She was naturally beautiful, and now she seemed even more stunning than Yara had back when she had been younger.
Yvette looked lovely with just simple, light makeup. It was no surprise that Xavier still had no intention of divorcing her.
âIâm here to see you and take you back to Tirion. Terrence is the one to blame for all the trouble. Iâm well aware of all the details now.â
