Yvette only left after lecturing Xavier. Now, he would let her scold him as much as she wanted and wouldn’t get angry at all. Instead, he would just look at her innocently with his deep, dark eyes. Although she knew he was blind, she still couldn’t help feeling worried.

Noah started acting coy immediately, “Mom, why aren’t you letting me stay with you? I’m so lonely here. I miss you, Zac, and Grandma…”

When Yvette saw his teary eyes, her heart melted immediately. She felt bad for him as she said, “I’m sorry, baby.”

The doctor had said that Noah was too fragile, and he had to stay at the hospital. That way, the doctor could monitor him and keep his condition under control at all times while he waited for his surgery.

Noah reached out to hug her. “Mom, can you and Mr. Lander take me out to play today?”

She couldn’t bear to reject his request and looked at Claude. “Are you busy this afternoon, Claude?”

“No. I can play with Noah,” he answered.

“Thank you.”

After Yvette talked to the nurse, she helped Noah get changed before taking him out.

When they exited the building, Noah suddenly stopped in his tracks and looked at a family of three

“Mom…”

“I want a dad too,” he said.
