everything so soon and even prepared breakfast. She took a closer look at the food. There was oatmeal, bread, and milk. There were also fruits, and the table was basically full.

When Xavier heard her footsteps, he looked toward her. “I didn’t know what you liked, so I decided to buy a little bit of everything. Also, here are the receipts.”

She looked at the receipts he gave her and was surprised that he had actually listened to her. “Aren’t you blind? How did you buy these?”

Xavier placed a glass of milk in front of her and said, “I can key in text on my phone using voice input.” Yvette didn’t suspect him and drank some milk. It was still warm. Then, she took a few bites of bread and purposely made things difficult for him. “I’m not used to having delivered breakfast.”

When he heard that, he was stunned. “But I don’t know how to cook.”

“I can learn how to cook,” he immediately said.

“Alright. In that case, learn well.”

She didn’t want to waste the food, so she finished everything on the table. Before she left, she couldn’t help but give him a reminder. “Don’t burn yourself when you’re cooking.”

She was only casually saying it. But when Xavier heard her, he was extremely happy. After learning braille and going through some old documents, he started learning how to cook.

Shannon was stunned. Although she looked calm, she was clenching her fists tightly. “Jerry, the doctor said Xavier is blind, and he’ll never recover from it. Even if he can regain his memory, Lane Group would never let a blind man be the CEO.”

What she was trying to say was obvious. When Jeremiah heard that, he didn’t ask anything else. Instead, he stood up and prepared to leave.

“Where are you going?” She was worried that people might realize that something was different about him if he went out now.

“Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere. I just want to get some fresh air.” He looked at the snow outside. I’ve suffered a lot in the past few years.”

He wanted to go wherever he wanted. Then, he saw two children by chance.
