“Who do you think I am?” Right after Xavier said that, he left the bedroom without waiting for

Yvette’s answer.

She stood there alone and thought about what he had said. Then, she started feeling weak.

As she had expected, things wouldn’t be that easy. Even if she pretended to be his wife for a month, he wouldn’t let her and Noah go that easily.

From the looks of it, there was no way to do this without making things ugly and taking Noah away. However, she couldn’t drag Claude into this anymore.

Yvette took a deep breath and calmed herself down. Then, she thought about how she could take Noah away alone. Suddenly, she heard Xavier slamming the door downstairs.

She sat on the chair alone and pondered for a long while. Then, she realized that she could only escape with Noah if Xavier allowed her to meet him alone.

But even if she snuck Noah out of Fortian Manor, how would they escape Tirion?

She quickly thought of a person and used the phone Ray had given her to call a familiar number.

The call was answered quickly, and a middle–aged man’s voice greeted her. “Hello?”

“Hi, Matthew. It’s me, Yvvy,” she said.

When Matthew Jameson heard her voice, he couldn’t help feeling surprised. “You’re really still alive, Yvvy!”

“Yeah.”

“Where have you been in the past few years?” he asked in confusion.

“It’s a long story, Matthew. Can you help me with something?”

Matthew had been James‘ most trusted lawyer when the latter had still been alive. He had a lot of connections in Tirion as well. “Sure. What can I help you with?”

“I need two fake identities to get out of the country with. We can’t let anyone know about this.”

She could actually buy the fake identities herself, but if she did it, it would be easy for Xavier to track her down.

Matthew agreed to her request without any hesitation. “When do you need it?”

“As soon as possible.”

“Sure.”
