Yvette wanted to scan the area properly when she visited this time. If Xavier was unwilling to let Noah go, she would still be able to find a way to get him out of there.

When Noah heard that they were going to

visit him, he waited at the entrance for a long time. “Mom!”

When she saw the tiny child standing at the gates, she immediately approached him and hugged him.” Why are you standing here?” She grabbed his hand. “Are you cold?”

“No, I’m not.” After saying that, he looked at Xavier, who was walking behind Yvette.“Mister, my legs have gone numb while waiting for you two. Can you carry me inside?”

Xavier couldn’t believe he would be able to kick so accurately when he claimed to have numb legs. He was sure that Noah was intentionally making things hard for him.

“It’s alright. I’ll take a look at your legs later.”

After he placed Noah on the couch, he reached out to grab the latter’s legs. Noah anxiously avoided him. ” My legs are fine now, mister.”

Xavier just looked at him without saying a word. Yvette noticed something was wrong between them, and she quickly stepped in. “I’m sorry. Noah didn’t do it on purpose. Why don’t you get changed first?”

Xavier figured it wouldn’t be wise for him to hold a grudge against a child either. “Sure.”

After he left, Yvette hurriedly asked Noah, “Are your bones hurting again?” One of the symptoms of leukemia was bone pain.

Noah shook his head. “No. My legs just felt a little numb.”

After saying that, he reached out to hug Yvette. “I haven’t seen you ih so long, Mom. I’ve missed you so

much.”

“I’ve missed you too. I’m sorry for taking so long to visit you.” She felt extremely sad.

Zachary was smarter, so he might be able to think of that. Meanwhile, Noah was a normal child like she. had once been, so she thought he had just done it unintentionally.
