Ever since Yvette had decided to get a divorce, she had never thought about being a real couple with

Xavier.

He touched her loose hair and said, “Say my name.”

She softly said, “Xav.”

He wanted to kiss her again. Unfortunately, someone rang the doorbell and interrupted the beautiful moment. It turned out that someone had brought them some food.

After an hour, they were done with breakfast.

“Don’t you have anything to do at the office today?” Yvette tried asking.

Xavier noticed that she wanted to leave him badly. “Yeah. I’ve assigned most of the work to others.”

He thought he should’ve done that earlier. As the CEO of the company, he had too many tasks. It made sense for him to let others share his burden.

Yvette couldn’t help feeling frustrated. If he didn’t leave, she wouldn’t be able to return to the room to get

the cup of semen.

He looked at her and asked, “Do you want me to go to the office?”

She shook her head. “No. I was just curious.”

“I’ll drop all the work I have this month so that we can properly spend time together,” he added.

When she heard that, she was utterly shocked. However, she nodded. “Sure.”

“Didn’t you say you wanted to go back to Sangine County?” Xavier casually asked.

Yvette tightened her grip around a glass of water. When they had first gotten married, she had often mentioned the place she had grown up in.

After all, she had liked him and had wanted to share everything with him. “Yeah. I did that.”

“Pack your things later. Let’s drive there this afternoon.” Although he said he wanted to be a real couple for a month, it was his first time being her husband. He didn’t know what to do.

He thought about how people would go on a honeymoon, so he figured that would do.

Yvette was stunned for a while before she returned to her senses. “Alright. I’ll pack my stuff right now.”

When she returned to her room, she picked up her phone and saw Kiki’s missed call.

She called Kiki back, and the latter picked up immediately. “How did it go?” Kiki was anxious to hear the

answer,

“Yeah. It was a success.” Yvette had a feeling that she would get pregnant this time,

“That’s great. In that case, can we leave with Noah now?” Kiki asked again.

“I’m not sure if I will get pregnant yet. I want to leave after I’m certain.”

Then, Yvette told her about being a couple with Xavier for a month. She also told Kiki that they were going to Sangine County that afternoon.

When the housekeeper, who was hired on an hourly basis, came to tidy Yvette’s room, Yvette found an excuse to go to the master bedroom. Then, she secretly grabbed the cup of semen she had hidden there.

After she was done packing, she changed into casual attire and went downstairs with her luggage. “Are we leaving now?”

Xavier was reading a book on a couch. He looked up at her for a moment before finally placing the book aside. “Yeah.”

He got up and helped carry her luggage out of the house. Yvette couldn’t help but find it weird as she followed him.

After they placed the luggage in the trunk and got in the car, she finally realized that he was going to drive.

“It’s going to take us at least five hours to reach Sangine County. Why don’t we let the driver drive?” Yvette was worried that he didn’t know how far it was.

“There’s no need for that.” He didn’t like having a third wheel around when they were going out together. Before he had left that day, he had even told Mark not to call him if there wasn’t anything important.
