Meanwhile, on the top floor of Sternhow Club, there were many rich kids dressed in glamorous clothes under the dark lighting.
Xavier was sitting in a quiet spot. He checked his phone and saw a message from the bodyguards whom he had instructed to follow Yvette.
The text read, âWe lost her.â
Immediately after he had left the manor, Yvette had done the same. Right now, missing.
she was
He frowned and replied, âIf you still havenât managed to find her after an hour, donât bother staying in Tirion.â
After he sent that message, all the bodyguards he had got to work on the streets.
Xavier tried calling Yvette again. However, the only response he got was the cold beep of the answering machine. âThe number you have dialed unavailableâ¦â
At the same time, Yvette was calling Viola. She told Viola not to worry about Noah and Zachary and that she would take care of them.
Through the video call, she could see Violaâs head full of white hair and the concern in her eyes. âYou have to call me and Claude if anything happens, okay, Yvvy? Donât try to handle it all on your own.â
Her main concern was Yvetteâs depression. She was scared that Yvette would do something stupid.
âOkay. Donât worry.â
Yvette was going to tell her something else, but when she saw Ray rushing over, she had no choice but to hang up for the time being. âWhat is it?â
âXavierâs subordinates are all looking for you, he said.
Upon hearing that, Yvette immediately took her phone out and called the driver. She told him to pick her up by the side of the road.
She then acted like she had gone out to buy some clothes and got into the car.
Soon, the bodyguards hired by Xavier noticed her. They immediately took a picture of her and sent it to him.
After seeing the picture, Xavier called Yvette.
Yvette felt her phone vibrating and saw that it was a call from Xavier. She picked up and said, âHello?â

âWhere are you?â Xavier got straight to the point.
She took a look around her. âIâm at a shopping mall. Iâm about to head back. Is something wrong?â
A shopping mall?
âCome to the top floor of Sternhow Club,â he ordered. He then hung up without even giving her a chance to refuse.
The club was nearby; it was less than a mile away from the shopping mall. So, Yvette told the driver to change routes.
Inside the club, all of Xavierâs friends had pretty girls in their arms. They were fully enjoying themselves.
âI told you, Xav, there have been a few gorgeous women here lately. Theyâre the best of the > best, too.â One of them attempted to win Xavierâs favor and shot the manager a look.
The manager immediately grasped the situation and quickly brought a beautiful woman over. Her name was Tracy Jones. She looked innocent but was also hypnotizing.
Clearly, she had just started working there. She looked a little embarrassed.
Someone murmured to Xavier, âSheâs barely legal, too.â
Under the dim lights, Tracyâs eyes fell on Xavier. She was instantly attracted to him. She shyly walked forward and said, âLetâs have a toast, Mr. Lane.â
Xavier simply stared at her without drinking. When he compared her to Yvette, he realized that Yvette was prettier. That was because Yvette wasnât so timid.
Nobody could understand why he was acting so cold.
One of them joked, âHave you lost all interest in other women now that Deaf Yvvy is back, Xav?â
Tristan wasnât there that day, but all of them knew about his nickname for Yvette.
Tracy grew curious upon hearing that. âWhoâs Deaf Yvvy?â she asked.
Xavier was visibly displeased, but none of his friends noticed it. They explained, âSheâs Xavierâs exâwife.â
Tracy was rather surprised that an outstanding man like Xavier had a deaf exâwife. She couldnât help but feel bad for him. She gained some confidence in herself, too.
After all, she was clearly better than a deaf person, right?
âMy name is Tracy Jones, Mr. Lane. If you donât want this drink, Iâll drink it for you,â she
offered. Then, she picked up the glass and drank it all in one go.
She was determined to make him hers.
