Third-Person POV
Kim had left the family at 18, choosing to pursue his dream of music rather than be entangled in the mafia business. Now at 21, he was a rising star, his guitar skills and deep voice captivating fans worldwide. Concerts, world tours, and endless flashing cameras had become his reality.
On the other hand, Pete had joined the family at 17 as a bodyguard, undergoing years of rigorous training. Now, at 22, he had earned the title of Tankhun's head bodyguard. His cheerful personality made him beloved, yet his skills were unmatched. No one dared to underestimate himâexcept when it came to stealth, which he notoriously failed at.
For years, their paths never crossed.
But then, Kimâs father summoned him back to the mansion for an urgent and important meeting. It was the first time in years that Kim stepped into the house he had once called home.

Kimâs POV
I stepped into the meeting room, where everyone was already presentâeveryone except my eldest brother, Tankhun. Annoying, as usual. I leaned back on my chair, sighing.
A few moments later, the doors burst open, and Tankhun strode in dramatically. But what caught my attention wasnât him. It was the man beside him.
Dressed in a tight black turtleneck and fitted pants, he looked sharp and confident. His face held a playful yet strict expression as he turned to Tankhun, scolding him.
"Khun no, youâre late again! If you keep being this stubborn, I swear I wonât watch your stupid dramas with you anymore!"
The room fell silent. I blinked. Did this man just scold my brother? In front of all the mafia heads?
My curiosity spiked. Who the hell is he?
As if sensing my thoughts, Kinn leaned closer, whispering in my ear.
"Thatâs Pete. Head bodyguard. Tankhunâs favorite. The best fighter we have."
I hummed in response, my eyes never leaving Pete for the rest of the meeting.

Third-Person POV
Due to a rising threat from an enemy group, Kim had to stay at the mansion for a few months. He hated itâat first.
But then, there was Pete.
Kim didnât know when it started, but the more he observed Pete, the more intrigued he became. The man was an enigmaâdeadly with a gun, yet his dimpled smile could light up a room. His laughter was soft, his expressions lively. He didnât belong in this world of blood and violence.
And yet, he did.
Kim found himself watching Pete more often than he should. He memorized the way Peteâs dimple appeared when he smiled, how he scrunched his nose when annoyed, how his lips parted slightly when he was deep in thought.
Kim was in trouble.
---
One rare day off, Pete decided to go to the mall. Unbeknownst to him, Kim was also thereâwith a few bodyguards reluctantly trailing behind.
Kim hadnât planned on following Pete, but when he accidentally spotted him, his feet moved on their own.
And then he stopped breathing.
Pete was wearing a black crop top, revealing just enough of his toned stomach, paired with a small fitted blazer. It was unfair. Absolutely unfair.
Kim swallowed hard, his eyes shamelessly roaming Peteâs body. Why does he look soâ¦
Before he could complete that thought, a group of kids ran past, bumping into Pete.
"Ahâ!" Pete lost his balance.
Kim moved on instinct.
His arms wrapped around Peteâs waist, pulling him close before he could fall. Peteâs eyes widened as their faces ended up inches apart.
Kimâs first thought? His waist fits perfectly in my hands.
His second thought? Shit, his eyes are really pretty.
Before either could react, another wave of kids came running, bumping into them. This time, the impact sent them both tumbling backward.
And just like thatâ
Their lips touched.
Pete froze. His eyes widened in shock as he stared at Kim, who was just as still.
The world blurred around them.
Kim felt the warmth of Peteâs lips against his, the way their breaths mingled. It wasnât deep, it wasnât intentionalâbut it was enough to send his heart racing.
Pete, on the other hand, was too stunned to move.
The sound of a camera clicking broke the moment.
"Boss⦠did you just steal Peteâs first kiss?" One of Kimâs bodyguards gawked.
Kim smirked, finally snapping out of his daze. He glanced at Pete, who was still processing what had happened.
"Accidental," Kim said, his voice laced with amusement. "Unless Pete wants to make it intentional?"
Pete immediately shoved him away, his ears turning red.
"Y-Youâ!" Pete stammered. "You pervert!"
Kim only laughed.
---
From that day on, Kim had a new missionâteasing Pete relentlessly.
It started with little thingsâstanding too close, whispering in his ear, finding excuses to be near him. Pete was quick, but Kim was persistent.
And then there were the stolen kisses.
The first time, Kim brushed it off as an accident.
The second time, Pete yelled at him.
The third time, it was in front of everyone.
Tankhun had been ranting about a new drama when Kim, seated beside Pete, suddenly turned, cupped his face, and kissed his cheek.
The room went silent.
Peteâs jaw dropped. "K-Kim!"
Kim grinned. "Hmm? Just testing something."
Kinn groaned. "Kim, stop harassing my best bodyguard!"
Tankhun, however, clapped in excitement. "Ooooh, are we getting a real-life romance arc?!"
Pete was ready to explode. "I hate you all!"
But Kim just smiled.
Because every time he kissed Pete, Peteâs face turned pink.
And Kim loved that color on him.
---
Despite his teasing, Kimâs feelings grew genuine. He admired Peteânot just for his skills, but for the way he cared for everyone. For the way he made the dark mafia world feel lighter.
Pete, despite his protests, also began seeing Kim differently. Kim wasnât just the arrogant singer he thought he was. He was kind in his own way, protective, and surprisingly sweet when no one was watching.
And slowly, Pete started expecting Kimâs presence.
One night, after a long day, Pete found himself leaning against Kimâs shoulder.
"Tired?" Kim murmured.
Pete hummed. "A little."
Kim didnât say anything. Instead, he wrapped an arm around Peteâs waist, pulling him closer. Pete tensed but didnât pull away.
After a moment, Pete sighed. "Youâre not as annoying as I thought."
Kim chuckled, pressing a kiss to Peteâs hair. "And youâre cuter than I thought."
Pete groaned, smacking Kimâs chest. "Shut up."
Kim only laughed.
Because this time, Pete didnât move away.
And that was enough.

End.
