Karanveer's POV

I was waiting for Naina sitting beside the dining table. This is going to be our first breakfast as whole family before our first day in office as an official married couple.

I know she is mad for what I said to her before, but is she mad for that kiss too?

What if she wants to leave me? I want to live with her, and I can't be broken again. I am sure she is not like her,  but what if Naina also abandons me?

No...I won't let her.  My jaw dropped when I saw her descend from the stairs in her floral print knee length one piece.

She looks like a goddess. It was perfectly fitted her small waist and her fair legs...if I wasn't in dining area, I would've ripped her dress apart and claimed her on this table itself.

Control Karan. She is pretty angry on me , don't make her kill me.

I should take it slow. Our eyes met but she lowered hers and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear.

She came towards me but diverted towards my right to sit beside me.

For brief moment I skipped my beat, she is ignoring me now.

Please Naina, be mad at me, curse me as much as you want, slap me... kick me , punch me wherever you want...but please stop ignoring me and don't stop talking to me.

I have to make amends with her. I need her forgiveness...that was no way to talk to any women.

I really screwed up badly.

Naina's POV

My heart clenched, his eyes swell up when I ignored him, but he deserves to be treated like this. I think he is feeling bad for what he said, but I am not planning to go easy on him.

I felt so miserable when he took away my job, my normal life...but should I feel bad for that kiss too? Did it really means he likes me or was it lust?

I noticed him. He was wearing blue shirt with black pants and a black blazer hanging around his chair. I wonder why isn't he wearing a tie?

His eyes were lowered in embarrassment. He was enable to look at me.

What has happened to my Veer?

Before I could say something, mom and dad arrived and got seated. All the maids started to serve the breakfast.

We greeted each other and ate.

"So Naina.." mom started, "we couldn't give you a proper welcome. So I and Abhiman were thinking that we should organise a reception for you both. What do you say?"

Wow...she is the coolest mother in law anyone could get. Even dad is awesome too.

At least my one dream is coming true.

"Mom, you don't have to ask anything from me, you said I am like your daughter...so just say to me and I'll be there." I assured her and Veer smiled in pride.

She saw me emotionally and dad too was proud for me.

"Karan I must say, you did great a job in bringing a daughter for us both. You completed our family beta."

Dad grasped my hand in confidence.

I never felt this good in my life. This is the first time anyone is feeling good... proud to have me in this world. I maybe not their birth child, but they made me not feel less than it. They barely know me...but they make me feel finally home.

"So I have planned the reception this Sunday. Will it be okay Karan and Naina?"

"Yeah mom, I'll clear my schedule."

Veer smiled at her and she nodded. I never knew he was this close to his mother.

"Mom, I don't have any dress and accessories..."

"Oh don't worry beta, just ask us without hesitation, daughters demand not ask! I'll book an appointment to designer and beautician. We'll go to them as soon Abhiman and I come back."

Come back? Are they going somewhere?

"Come back?"

"Oh...How lazy is Karan, he didn't tell you?" Dad pulled his ear lightly.

"We are going to New York this afternoon and come back by Saturday night. You both don't murder each other in our absence."

Mom chuckled on dad's comment. Even I saw Veer smiling with a blush forming on his cheeks. He looked so adorable.

If he had such a great family, then why was he afraid of me leaving him? And why is he so cold towards everyone?

Karanveer's POV

I was driving the car with Naina sitting beside me. She was looking out of the window constantly.

She didn't talk to me since her outburst. Her silence is killing me. I want to apologize her, she is not ready to listen me.

Please give me a chance Miss Loud.

I need to start somewhere.

"So...are you nervous for your first day as the board member, Wifey?"

I asked her in a low voice. Buy instead of talking to me, she gave me a hard glare. I am terrified of her honestly. Last time she slapped me, this time she already has a murder plan, I guess.

"Don't call me wifey! Sounds like WiFi."

Oh...I forget she is a hacker by profession, tech geek.

I should throw up my trump card now.

"I was thinking to make you the head of the IT department. It's a rule that each board member is head of a particular department."

I saw her smiling in joy. This is first genuine smile I saw on her. She looks so happy when it comes to tech things.

"Your board won't mind? I mean they barely know me ."

"Don't worry, you have our shares. That makes you worthy enough for this company. And besides you're my wife, no one has a death wish to be fulfilled."

Her eyes soften with my promise. I knew it, she'll talk to me now. Now the real talk starts.

"Naina...about this morning... I'm sorry.."

"Sorry for what?"

"Sorry...for kissing you.."

"So you're sorry for kissing me, not for calling me a slut?"

Okay angry Naina is back.

"I am sorry for everything I did..."

"You judged me Angraj! Before even knowing me...as if you yourself are perfect. Bloody man whore!"

She snapped at me, well I deserve it. And yes... I did use to sleep with anyone back in London, but not after I married you, or even before it!

But what does this Angraj even means?

"Okay...calm down angry bird, what does this Angraj means?"

She saw me in shock when asked her. Did I do something wrong again?

"Did I called you that...how dare you called me angry bird Karanveer!"

She is avoiding it...and now I hate to be called by my full name from her mouth.

She knows how get on my nerves and make me stop.

"Okay then! Answer me one question- what do you want me to apologize for, calling you names or the kiss ...or both?"

She was dumbfounded by my outburst. I can't take this anymore. If you want me to do something...ask me clearly. I am not a guessing machine to know your desires.

This is how hurt feels when someone you like doesn't reciprocate your feelings as the same.

She confuses me! She wants to be with me but fight. She wants apology but doesn't forgive. If she wants me...then why isn't she claiming me?

I want to give us a chance...but what is backing her?

I stopped the car outside our office with a sudden jerk. She was looked little terrified.

Fine...don't talk to me , if that is what you want Naina.

I got out of the car and gave my keys to the valet. I grabbed her door and opened it, signalling her to get out without making any scene.

She looked ridiculed now. I don't care...just don't cry Naina...I have no idea what I'll do when I see you like that.

I grabbed her hand and started walking towards the entrance. But my blood boiled when I saw him walking and smirking towards my Naina.

He came out of the office and took her other hand, kissed her knuckles.

"Hi bhabhi. I am your little devar Nakul Sanghi."

I am sure today my anger is not going to calm... either someone will get hurt... or someone is going to hurt me more.

Or both could happen.
