Chapter 476:
Christos continued to chatter incessantly, bombarding her with questions. Eileen responded occasionally, even mentioning that she had recently had a baby. However, based on the skeptical look on Christosâ face, he didnât seem to fully believe her.
At the coffee shop, Eileen ordered three cups of coffee. As they waited for their drinks, they found seats. After settling down, Christos spoke up first.
âEileen, it feels like fate that weâve met. Do you feel it too?â
To Eileen, Christos seemed like just a clever, talkative young man. She replied, âI meet many people daily, converse with strangers, and often help them. Is that what you mean by âfateâ?â
After a pause, Christos asked, âDo you know Travis?â
Eileen stared at him, taken aback.
âI know you were once the special assistant to the former president of the Apex Group, and Travis is the current presidentâs son. You must know him, right?â Christos narrowed his eyes and smiled at Eileenâs serious expression.
Around them, many young couples and girls were chatting and enjoying their time. But Eileenâs mind was preoccupied with Christosâ question about Travis.
âDonât worry. Travis and I are close friends,â Christos reassured her, lifting his eyebrows. âThe president of the Apex Group is his stepfather, whom he despises for turning against his own son.â
âHold on a second,â Eileen interrupted, her curiosity piqued. âAre you and Travis so close that you share things like that with each other?â
Christos beamed with pride. âAbsolutely. Travis and I get along really well.â
At this, Eileen was at a loss for words.

âEileen, did I just hear you mention wanting to steal something from Travisâ stepfather?â Christos asked loudly.
The word âstealâ caught the attention of nearby people.
Eileen gave him a complex look and said, âLetâs part ways here and consider we donât know each other from now on. Goodbye.â
Their coffee arrived. Eileen grabbed hers and walked away with Benjamin.
Christos, leaving his drink behind, rushed out of the coffee shop, pleading, âEileen, donât be wary of me. Iâm genuinely a good person, and so is Travis. Tell me what you need to steal. Iâll have Travis get it for you!â
He spoke as if Travis would obediently do whatever he suggested.
âChristos, stop. I can handle my own business. Youâre just kids. Stay out of it,â Eileen said, her expression serious. âDonât even say hello if you see me again.â
With that, she walked away.
