The scooter made its way slowly along the pedestrian street, navigating its length before merging onto the main road.
Before reaching the main road, Roderick eased to a stop, pulled out his phone, and took a moment to check it.
A loud crash echoed as Roderick fell from the scooter, his face lighting up with uncontainable joy.
âThe money has been deposited!â
Roderick exclaimed, sitting on the ground and energetically waving his phone.
Curious onlookers turned their heads to see what had happened.
Eileen burst into laughter and helped him to his feet. âGet up. This money can cover everything for your restaurantârent, renovations, and startup costs. When you open, be sure to let me know, and Iâll definitely be there.â
Roderick stayed on the ground, unmoving, despite Eileenâs attempts to assist him.
A drop of liquid suddenly appeared on the floor, followed by two or three more, making a faint crackling sound.
Eileen came to a complete stop.
âEileen, I cannot thank you enough.â Roderick clung to Eileenâs leg, tears streaming down his face.

âCarry on,â Eileen patted Roderick on the shoulder. âI need to get back to work. You should focus on your tasks.â
