Chapter 216:
âWait for me here.â Bryan gently placed his hands on Eileenâs shoulders, guiding her to sit on the sofa before softly kissing her forehead. He then turned to Kian and icily stated, âIf you donât want to end up in jail with Vivian, disappear from my sight within three minutes.â
Kianâs eyes turned cold. âBryan, are you really this heartless? Vivian grew up with you.â
Bryan interjected, âIâve already told you that you can do anything as long as it doesnât harm Eileen. But youâve allowed Vivian to cross my boundaries. Youâve supported her up to this point, so donât bring up friendship now.â
Bryanâs expression darkened. When Vivian had returned from abroad, Kian had asked for his cooperation, and Bryan had made it clear repeatedly that being involved with Vivian was out of the question.
Using his hands for support, Kian stood up, blood dripping from his fingertips onto the floor. Kian and Bryan faced each other beneath the sparkling crystal lights, the atmosphere thick with tension.
After a long pause, Kian reluctantly moved toward the door. âAlright, letâs wait and see.â He cast a cold glance at Eileen.
Eileenâs gaze was steady as she calmly watched him leave the room. Once Kian was gone, she stood up and approached Bryan. âHas Vivian been arrested?â
âShe was forcibly admitted to a mental hospital for intensive treatment.â Bryan glanced at the mess in the room and then took Eileenâs wrist, leading her to a cleaner spot in the entryway.
Eileen was stunned for a moment and asked, âWhy? Doesnât she only have depression?â
Without looking up, Bryan replied, âIf she harms those around her to a certain extent, sheâll be forcibly confined for treatment.â

However, his lawyer had advised that, given the severity of her mental illness, Vivian would be compulsorily confined. So, no further action was needed.
That afternoon, Vivian had been taken away. Unable to prevent it, Kian had come to discuss the issue with Bryan. Their conversation quickly escalated into a heated argument.
âLet me help you clean up,â Eileen offered, bringing over a broom.
From the corner of the second floor, Milford rushed downstairs, took the broom from Eileen, and said, âMs. Curtis, let me handle it. I may not be able to fight, but I can help clean up.â
He tried to pick up the glass shards, but Bryan stopped him. âClear the flowerpot debris. Donât touch the glass shards,â Bryan instructed.
Eileen watched as Milford and Bryan worked efficiently together. The living room was restored to its original state in just over ten minutes. Unfortunately, all the flower pots on the shelf were shattered, leaving it bare.
While Bryan showered, Eileen received a message from Phoebe. âDonât worry. Even though Bryan has cut ties with his father, the Warren family wonât dare touch him.â
Phoebe had initially come out of curiosity, but once she discovered that Kian was the one who had been beaten, she left. Bryan could afford to offend the Warren family, but Phoebe couldnât take such risks, which is why she left quickly before Kian could notice her.
âUnderstood,â Eileen responded. She knew Bryan had considered everything. He had dared to confront Vivian, crossing the Warren family, and he must possess unwavering confidence to take such a decisive step.
The bathroom door clicked open. Bryan emerged with a bath towel wrapped around his waist, droplets of water trickling down from his short hair onto his chest. The water cascaded over his defined abdominal muscles, vanishing into the towel.
Eileen stole a glance at his alluring physique before quickly averting her eyes. âIâll get you some clothes,â she said.
But as she passed by him, he grabbed her wrist. âDonât bother. Iâll just have to take them off again,â he said before closing the curtain.
Eileen had been so occupied recently that she always fell asleep as soon as she hit the bed each night. Bryanâs desire for intimacy had been intense for days. Tonight was a rare occasion since Eileen didnât have to rush to the education agency in the morning.
When Eileen realized what he meant, her ears flushed red. Her long hair fell loosely over her shoulders as she lay on the bed, her collar slightly open, revealing her flawless skin. There were no marks on her skin, indicating they hadnât been intimate recently.
Leaning closer, Bryan pressed his lips gently against hers, their breath mingling. With the tip of his nose brushing against hers, his cool fingertips deftly undid a few buttons of her shirt.
âMy grandmother keeps urging me to bring you back,â he said in a raspy voice, clearly aroused.
Eileen felt dizzy under his touch. Placing her hands on his sturdy waist, she replied, âI still have some tasks to handle here, which might delay our return. However, Bailee will head to Onaland to make arrangements in advance, so we can go back within three months.â
âWhen will you introduce me to your mother?â Bryan inquired, his tone serious. He had waited patiently, yet she hadnât brought up the topic.
âOnce weâre back in Onaland and my motherâs health improves, Iâll tell her about our relationship. Then, we can get married, alright?â Eileen lifted her gaze slightly, her lips glistening as she spoke.
Hearing that, Bryan paused for a moment. He ran his calloused fingers through her hair before kissing her passionately. His voice emerged low and husky between their kisses. âOkay.â
It was the first time they had discussed this matter, and both felt pleased with each otherâs responses. Consequently, Bryan felt his desire for Eileen intensify.
Eileenâs hazy eyes mirrored his overwhelming longing. Her slender fingers, intertwined with his above her head, grew pale from his tight grasp. Her voice took on a husky tone as she reminded him, âIâll be taking Bailee to the education agency tomorrowâ¦â
She was telling him that he needed to restrain his desires a bit tonight. Bryan paused, burying his head in her neck as he breathed heavily. When would she not be busy? She should at least satisfy himâ¦
With a discontented look on his face, Bryan managed to restrain himself. The next morning, he let Eileen sleep in.
Eileen had told Bailee that she would take her to the education agency at ten in the morning. However, she didnât wake up until nine forty.
Her legs trembled as she got up to wash her face and brush her teeth. Downstairs, the breakfast Bryan had prepared was still warm. Seeing Eileen, Bryan put the food in a box for her to take on the go.
âBryan, youâre so thoughtful!â remarked Milford, who was studying in the living room.
However, Eileen didnât acknowledge the gesture. She cast a fleeting glance at Bryan, changed her shoes, and left. If he had stopped earlier last night, she wouldnât have had to eat breakfast on the way. Her legs still felt weak, and she wasnât sure if she could manage the drive to the education agency.
Once she settled into the car, Milford hurried over and handed her a cup of milk. âYou forgot this,â he said.
âThanks.â Eileen accepted it and placed it in the storage compartment before driving off. Milford waved goodbye as Eileen left and then headed back inside the villa.
Nearby, under the shade of a tree, a man in a cleaning uniform observed the scene intently. He swiftly retrieved his mobile phone and dialed a number. âLeroy, Milford is definitely here. But our guys are having trouble gaining access to this location. Itâs an upscale villa area⦠Right. Iâve got the license plate of that woman memorized. Instruct our men outside to tail her and find out who she is.â
After picking up Bailee, Eileen proceeded to the education agency, unaware that she was being followed. Meanwhile, Bailee was too nervous to notice anything amiss.
Logging into her backend account on the online course software, she discovered a significant surge in course purchases, causing her heart to race with excitement.
Eileen said, âIn reality, publicizing the education agency shouldnât pose much of a challenge. You only need a clear understanding of which courses each gradeâs students should purchase and to provide some trial lessons to them. In the meantime, handle the post-sales and reception dutiesâ¦â
Eileen meticulously walked Bailee through each course and its target audience. After a lunch break at the education agency, she delved into discussions about Onalandâs market with Bailee in the afternoon.
âSwift domination isnât feasible. Instead, letâs concentrate on establishing ourselves firmly.â Eileen highlighted promising locations in Onaland. âInspect potential storefronts in these areas, make reservations, and initiate recruitment if suitable. Avoid shouldering the burden alone; channel all your efforts into promotion.â
Having lived in Onaland for many years, they were familiar enough with the area that establishing a foothold would not be an issue. Consequently, Eileen harbored no concerns about Bailee going back to Onaland alone.
Later that evening, on their way back to Lakeside Villa, an unexpected encounter awaited them at the villaâs entrance.
Under the streetlampâs glow, Benjamin stood with a stern expression, clutching a box of tonics, his gaze fixed on the gate ahead.
âMr. Nash!â Bailee called out from the car window, tilting her head for a better view.
Eileen hadnât expected to encounter Benjamin here. Their last meeting at the airport had ended with her rejecting his proposal to be together.
Caught off guard and feeling slightly awkward, Eileen halted the car since Bailee had already greeted Benjamin.
âWhat brings you here?â Bailee asked excitedly as she stepped out of the car.
Eileen unbuckled her seatbelt, got out of the car, and approached Benjamin with a calm expression. âItâs been a while.â
Benjamin offered a faint smile. âIndeed, itâs been quite some time. Iâve been assisting Mr. Warren with his tasks. Weâre heading back to Onaland tomorrow morning, so I thought Iâd visit your mother tonight.â
When Bryan stepped out of the villa to dispose of the garbage, he noticed Eileen and the others gathered at the district gate. He narrowed his eyes and slipped one hand into his pocket, watching silently as Eileen and Bailee walked with Benjamin toward Rubyâs place. Noticing the tonics in Benjaminâs hands, he deduced that Benjamin was there to visit Eileenâs mother.
Bryanâs expression darkened, and he stood frozen for a moment before turning on his heel and heading back inside the villa. Despite the bustling activity and warm atmosphere following Benjaminâs arrival, he sensed an unusual quietness about Eileen.
