SALAAR (Completed)969 words~5 min read

"Are you okay?" Haseena asked concerned while still crying tears of joy. "How did this happened?" she asked looking at the scar on Amira's face but Amira was still engrossed in her own thoughts to reply. "You look so pale and weak," Haseena asked again, "What did they do to you?" "Amira why are you not...." she paused when she looked at the photos in Amira's trembling hands.

Haseena didn't take the photos. She didn't have to for she could see what they are even from a distance.

"He had them in his heart," Amira said heartbroken with tears in her eyes. Haseena placed a hand on her cheek to console her.

"Appi, is my father a good man?" Amira asked.

"I don't know," said Haseena, "....but he surely is a good father." "They say Rocky only ever loved two people," said Haseena, "His mother and his wife." "You are the memory of his mother and the blood of his wife," she added, "Surely there is nothing more precious to him than you."

Amira nodded. "I misunderstood him," she said looking at the pictures she didn't even knew or remember existed, "I thought he never loved me."

"He loved you so much that he left a part of himself in Salaar," said Haseena, "just so that he can continue to love you."

Meanwhile someone opened the car door on Amira's side. It was Salaar. Amira has seen him fight before but never has she seen him injured. Never thought she would see him injured but this time he was, badly. Perhaps, it's because Salaar didn't fight this battle. Farmaan did and Farmaan will never kill the ones he love.

Amira was heart broken at what she saw.

"I am sorry jijaaji," she said hugging him, "I am so sorry...I..."

"Shh..." said Farmaan. "Don't ever apologize for anything," he said and gently held her hand and took her inside. Haseena was standing on the other side of him.

Inside KGF was the aftermath of the battle. All of Rajmanaar's men were brutally murdered. Rajmanaar's dead body was lying in a corner. Some of the mine workers were hurt but not all of them and most of them looked pretty alright.

Everyone bowed down out of respect when they saw Amira. Even Sebastian was no longer standing. Amira looked around totally confused and clueless at the sudden sign of respect.

"Welcome home princess," Salaar smiled before his body gave up on him and he collapsed on the floor.

Salaar slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He was in a hospital and a saline was attached to his hand. Haseeena was sitting on one corner with her legs crossed reading a novel.

"Where's Amira?" Salaar asked in a barely audible voice.

"I sent her home," Haseena replied casually, "thought she needs to relax."

"Good," whispered Salaar. "You are the first one I saw when I opened my eyes," he said.

"Mmm Hmm," said Haseena still engrossed in her book.

"And for a moment I thought, I was in hell," he joked.

"Even I am surprised they sent you back," countered Haseena.

"Probably they thought you would a better job torturing me," said Salaar and Haseena rolled her eyes.

Salaar smiled. "Do you...uh work here?" he asked.

"Just say the mean thing and move on with your life," said Haseena.

"Because I am seeing you..." said Salaar and Haseena slowly put her book down. He has her attention for she knows where this is going....atleast she hoped it went the direction she is expecting it to go.

Haseena looked at him anxiously.

"And I think I am falling in love with you," said Salaar referencing the lie she told Amira. Haseena tried hard to maintain a straight face but couldn't hide the blush.

"Will you marry me?" asked Salaar and Haseena smiled despite her best efforts not to. She got up and sat beside Salaar on the bed while he sat up and anxiously waited for her reply.

"I can't marry Salaar, I don't like Mafia," she said.

"Fine, marry Farmaan," said Salaar.

"He is too much of a nerd," said Haseena.

"Marry Rudra then," said Salaar, "I can be whatever you want me to be."

Haseena was impressed and gently kissed Salaar on the forehead.

"Be a good husband and a good father," she said.

"Let us now invite officer Rudra to speak a few words," announced the anchor. The MLA who is now the chief minister smiled and made way for Rudra and Rudra took over the podium as the crowd gave him a round of applause.

"Thank you everyone," said Rudra, "I am truly honoured to recieve this medal from our honourable chief minister. For years, our country has been tainted with the crimes of Salaar and Rajmanaar and I am so glad I could do my part in eradicating these criminals and making sure my country regains the peace that it rightfully deserves. However I would like to emphasize that I am a mere soldier following instructions.

"The entire credit of this operation goes to," Rudra paused and took a deep breath to clear his emotions, "My dear friend, mentor, and god gifted brother Vikram Singhania. He is a man who truly belived that every person is capable of change and it is his good heart and irreversible sacrifice that made this mission a success."

"May his soul rest in peace," he said, "and may he find his company amongst the other great people in the good place. Jai Hind!"

The crowd gave a heart felt applause for Vikram and amongst those clapping were Amira and a now married Haseena.

"And that is how three orphans came together to make a beautiful family," Vikram narrated to Rocky, Reena, Raj and Khasim.
