Chapter 5: I was wrong about you

She's The Daughter Of A GodWords: 7007

After watching, Return of the Jedi, A New Hope, and the Rise of Skywalker, I got bored. I went downstairs to the kitchen to grab a drink. I got my favorite soda, fanta, orange flavored. I  turned around to see him standing there with his Emerald eyes staring at me. "SON OF A BILLIONAIRE!", I shrieked. I put my hand to my heart, recovering from my jump scare. "I know you're new to earth, but humans don't like it when you sneak up on them", I said.

"I just came to get a drink", Loki says calmly.

"Oh", I said, a little guilty of my actions. "Well don't let me stop you", I said calmly as I move away from the refrigerator.

Loki opens the refrigerator, but as I drank my soda, I could feel Loki's eyes staring at me, but I didn't dare to look at him. I waited for him to stop looking at me or leave, but he didn't. He continues to stare at me. When I finally looked at him, I noticed that he was no longer chained up. Loki noticed my gaze and a evil smirk makes it's way to his face. "You're lucky that I haven't choked you. Not yet at least", Loki says. He walks out of the kitchen, but I follow him into the living room. He sits down on the couch.

"Why can't you chock me never?" I asked as my arms were crossed over my chest. Loki doesn't answer. He looks at me in silence. "Why do you hate humans so much", I asked, slightly raising my voice. Loki still looks at me in silence.

I turned to walk away, but Loki stands up and walks toward me. I turned around and stood where I was which was a bad idea because Loki grabbed me by the throat and lifted me off my feet. "Because Midgard took everything from me", Loki hissed, venom in his eyes and voice.

"We...didn't do...anything", I said, struggling to talk and breathe. I wanted to scream for help, but I didn't have enough air in my lungs to do so.

"SAVE IT!" Loki shouts. "First, I kill you. Then, I kill your father and his friends".

"Don't do this", I said in a raspy voice.

My vision was getting blurry. I thought this was how I'm going to die. "Loki, Stop!" I heard Thor shout. "Loki, let her go, now". Loki drops me on the ground. I laid on the floor, coughing and collecting my breathe.

"She has no right to live", Loki hissed.I stood up. I was still recovering from almost being choked to death.

"Are you alright, Lady Leya", Thor asks.

"Yes, I'm fine", I said. Loki glares at both of us.

"She should not be alive. She should be dead. All of them should be dead!"Loki says.

"Loki, stop this madness. No one is dying", Thor says. All I could do is stand there as the brothers argued, wondering what happened to Loki. It was obvious that he wasn't always violent and so evil.

"Believe me, Brother. I will kill everyone on this planet, starting with this one", Loki says, pointing at me.

"Loki", Thor says. Loki pushes Thor out of the way and walks toward me. I take a knife from the coffee table and pointed it at Loki.

Loki stops. He didn't seem scared, but he looked surprised. "Here me out, Mischief God. If you ever threaten me or the Avengers or my father, I won't be the one laying dead on the ground. Am I clear?", I threatened. Whoa, where did all that come from? Oh my god. That was very violent.

I continued to glare at Loki. A smirk slowly formed on his face. "Crystal", he says. I slowly lowered the knife. I looked at Thor, who looked at us with a shocked expression.

"I uh...I never threatened anyone until today", I said as if that was an excuse.

"You did good for your first threat", Loki says. I looked back at him. A small smile makes it's way to my face.

We looked at each other in silence before I spoke. "I should go back upstairs", I said awkwardly. I turned around to leave. I stopped at the doorway and looked back. "It's Loki, right?"I asked.

"Pardon?" Loki asks.

"Your name is Loki. Am I correct?" I asked again.

"Yes, it is. Leya, right?"

"Yes, it is"

"It's a very beautiful name", Loki says. I smiled.

"Thank you", I said before leaving the living room. I ran into Natasha, not literally, on my way to the elevator.

"Hey, Leya. What's up?" Natasha asks.

"Nothing. Just threatening people for the first time today", I said. I ignored Natasha's concerned and confused look.

Loki's point of view

Agent Romanoff entered the room a few seconds after Leya left. "If I'm hearing correctly, Leya said she threatened someone for the first time today", she said. Me and Thor looked at her in silence. "Honestly I'm impressed. I guess you boys aren't really idiots", she says. I can't tell if that's an insult or a compliment. Romanoff's gaze turns to me and she glares.

"Romanoff", I said.

"Shut up", she snaps.

"Still filled with fiery rage I see", I said as Agent Romanoff sits down on the couch.

"Still giving me the urge to punch you in the face I see", Romanoff says.

"Natasha, is it alright if me and my brother talk alone?" Thor asks. I rolled my eyes. Whatever he wants to talk about, I don't want to hear it.

"If he threatens you or tries to kill you, tell JARVIS to alert me", she says as she exits the room.

After she left, Thor spoke. "Why would you want to kill Leya?" Thor asks.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know", I lied. I sat down on the couch.

"Loki, don't lie to me".

"If my child couldn't live, neither should that one".

"Leya shouldn't pay the price for what happened to your daughter. She was only a baby at the time", Thor says.

"I don't care! If I can't have my child nobody should have theirs!" I shouted as I stood up.

"Loki, Leya is an innocent child. She shouldn't die because of what happened to your daughter. Imagine how Stark would feel if you killed her", Thor says. I rolled my eyes, not caring about the billionaire's feeling.

"I'll admit, Leya is the most interesting child that I've ever met. She is full of surprises, but I must avenge my family", I said.

"Your daughter's not dead, Loki. I have hope that she's still alive", Thor says.

"Don't", I demanded.

"We will find her".

"She's dead, Thor!

"I refuse to believe that. My niece is out there some-" Thor cuts himself off.

"Leya", Me and Thor said at once.Leya stands up and walks out of her hiding spot. Behind the couch. She nervously waves at us.

"I'm sorry. I thought maybe I could help", she says softly. She walks up to the both of us. "I-I didn't know that you lost someone".

"It's not a big deal", I lied.

"You almost killed me to avenge your family. I think it's a pretty big deal", Leya says. I rolled my eyes. "I'm sorry you had to go through that".

"They're gone", I said. Leya unexpectedly hugs me.

She lets go and looks up at me. "You can start a new family with us", she says.

"Leya is right. You can make a new family here", Thor says.

I shook my head. "No", I said. "No one's going to give me a chance".

"Give it some time", Leya says.

"Why would you be helping me?" I asked.

Leya goes silent before shrugging her shoulders. "It seems like the right thing to do", she says.

"You're wasting your time", I said. I walked out of the living room to go to my room. I closed the door and stayed in my room until dinner.
