3rd person's point of view
Leya and the other children went to bed after eating cake. Loki came into Leya and Artemisia's room. Loki smiles at his peacefully sleeping daughter. He kisses her on the head. He turns toward the doorway to see Tony. "What do you want", he snaps at Tony. Tony didn't seem offended.
"I just want to talk", Tony says.
"About what?" Loki asks.
"Obviously, if we're both going to be in her life, we have to set aside our feud", Tony says.
Loki agreed. The both of them went into the kitchen. Clint and Wanda were in the living room playing a video game. Natasha was asleep on the couch.
Tony pours a cup of scotch while Loki sits down at the table. "Do you still want that drink?" Tony asks, reffing to during the battle of New York when Tony offered him a drink, but Loki didn't except until after he lost against the Avengers. Loki chuckles at Tony's question. "Sure. Why not?" He says.
Tony hands Loki a cup of scotch and sits down across from him. "Here's the thing", Tony started. "We both love Leya, but we obviously hate each other. Our last argument did result to her loosing control of her powers".
"I just want to be in my daughter's life", Loki says.
"I understand. We can't continue this fight. As much as we hate each other, we need to learn how to get along", Tony says.
"For Leya", says Loki.
Steve sits down next to Loki. "I'm proud of you both", Steve says. "You're doing the best for your daughter even if it means being in each other's life".
"I'm not used to doing the right thing", Loki admits.
"You'll get used to it", Tony says with a smile. Loki gives him a small smile.
(Did Loki and Tony's situation remind anyone of Emma and Regina's situation in Once Upon A Time? I didn't think about it like that until after I wrote this chapter. In OUAT, an adoptive mother and biological mother is fighting for what's best for their son and in this book, an adoptive father, Tony Stark, and a biological father, Loki, are fighting for what's best for their daughter. Comment if anyone else thought about that. )
