Chapter 18: You really are Evil

She's The Daughter Of A GodWords: 4496

The next day, I went to the living room. I heard arguing. "We agreed not to tell her, Loki!" Thor shouted. I hid behind the couch so the two gods wouldn't see me.

"I don't care! She's my daughter!" Loki shouts.

"I know she deserves to know the truth, but we all agreed to not tell her!" Thor shouted.

"I don't have to listen to you or your pathetic team! It's my choice on whether or not to tell Leya that she's my daughter!" Loki shouts.

I stood up from behind the couch. "I'm your what?!" I shouted getting Thor and Loki's attention. They are both in silence.

"Leya, let me-". I cut Loki off.

"Explain? Explain what? That you lied to me? That you abandoned me?" I asked. They were both silenced. I looked at Thor.

"And you knew about this? Why would you keep this from me? This was about my true heritage and you kept it from me?! Why would you do that?", I asked. I looked back at Loki.

"I trusted you. I thought there was good in you. What did you think was going to happen? That I'd be happy and hug you? You abandoned me as a baby. You left me. You really are evil", I said. I ran out of the room.

"Leya, wait!" Loki shouts.

I ran toward the elevator. It opened before I could press the button. The rest of the Avengers got out of the elevator and saw me. "Leya, what's wrong?" Tony asks.

"I know that Loki's my dad", I said. The Avengers were silent. "And I know you knew about it".

"Leya...", Tony says. I ran pass them, into the elevator and pressed the button. The elevator closes.

Loki's point of view

The rest of the Avengers walked into the living room. I'm in trouble.

"What happened?! I thought we agreed not to tell her?!" Stark shouted.

"She overheard our conversation. It wasn't his fault", Thor explains. I walked towards the elevator, but Stark pulls me back into the living room. "Where do you think you're going?" Stark asks in a snappy tone.

"I'm going to make sure my daughter's okay", I said.

"Okay, One: You've said enough. Two: You might be blood related, but you're not her father. You didn't raise her", Stark says.

"Tony, let him go", Agent Romanoff says calmly. "He is still her father. He needs to talk to her and make things right".

Stark storms out of the room to go to his lab. I thank Natasha before going to Leya's room.

Leya's point of view

I laid on my bed, crying into the pillow. There was a knock on my door. I try to ignore it, but the person kept on knocking. "Go away", I said. The door opened. I sat up and looked to see Loki standing at the doorway.

I wiped away the tears. "What do you want", I asked.

Loki sat down next to me on the bed. "I didn't mean to upset you. I wanted to tell you the truth, but-" I cut Loki off before he could finish.

"So why didn't you? You all thought I was a threat?" I asked. "I know how things work around here. You're either a threat or you're not".

"No one thinks of you as a threat", Loki says.

"You're lying. I can tell when someone's lying too you know".

"Leya, you are not a threat".

"You don't know that, Loki. If S.H.E.I.L.D-" Before I could finish, Loki cuts me off.

"S.H.E.I.L.D will never know. I promise", Loki says. We stood in silence, lost on what to say to each other. "So why did you abandon me?" I asked as I wiped away more tears from my face.

"I did it to protect you. I know this may be hard to process and I know you're probably mad at me, but I truly am sorry, Leya. I wanted to tell you", he says.

Tears didn't stop falling from my eyes and I went into Loki's arms, sobbing in his chest. Loki begins to hum a lullaby. A lullaby that I remember hearing as a baby. I began to hum along with him.

I must have fallen asleep because next thing I knew, Loki was telling me to wake up. "How long was I out?" I asked.

"Quite a while. An hour I think", Loki says. We both went downstairs to join the others for dinner.

"Are you feeling better?" Loki asks as we were on the elevator. Honestly, I don't know. Now that I know that Loki's my dad, it'll be a little awkward between us. I nodded my head as a response. "You can be honest with me, Leya. You don't have to lie", Loki says. Right. He's the God of Lies. He can tell when I'm lying.

"I honestly don't know what the truth to that question is", I admitted.

"After today, things will get better", Loki promises.

"So what do I call you now? Do I call you Dad? Do I still call you Loki?" I asked.

"Whatever makes you comfortable", he says.

He kisses me on the head. I smiled at him. Loki has his arm around my shoulder until we got off the elevator.
