She's Electric by Oasis
It had been a week since the barrier came down, and life had changed drastically for Estella and the pirate crew.
For the first time in their lives, they weren't just Isle kids. They were students at Auradon Prep.
And surprisingly? It wasn't awful.
Estella had spent the week adjusting to her old life, splitting her time between classes, spending time with Uma and Gil, andâmost importantlyâintroducing Harry to the important people in her life.
Her mother being the first.
Tinkerbell had been thrilled when Estella introduced Harry to her, the tiny fairy practically buzzing with excitement as she inspected him from head to toe.
"Finally!" she had squealed, clapping her hands together. "My daughter finally has a boyfriend!"
Harry, much to Estella's amusement, had been utterly bewildered by her mother's excitement. He had expected some skepticism, maybe a few threats about hurting her, but instead, he got a warm welcome.
"That went... suspiciously well," he had muttered once they left, making Estella laugh.
The second important task had been helping James Hook find a house closer to Auradon Prep.
Harry had insisted on it.
As much as he pretended to be the rough, lawless pirate, he was close with his father. Seeing him regularly on the Isle was easy, but now that they were in Auradon? He wasn't willing to go weeks without visiting.
So, Estella had stepped in. With some not-so-legal navigation through the Auradon housing system, she managed to help James secure a home nearby.
But then came the hardest part.
Reuniting with her cousins.
Penelope Pan and Paxton Pan had been ecstatic to see her again, wrapping her up in bone-crushing hugs and demanding every detail of her life since they last saw each other.
But then they spotted him.
Harry Hook.
Their smiles immediately disappeared.
They hated him.
And they made that known.
"You're dating Hook's son?" Penelope had asked, her voice sharp with disbelief.
Paxton had crossed his arms, scowling. "Seriously, Estella?"
She sighed, already anticipating this reaction. "Guys, come onâ"
"Do you know what his father did to our dad?" Penelope cut her off, eyes burning with anger. "He hunted him. He chased him for years. He hated our father, and now you're dating his son?"
Harry, to his credit, remained silent, letting Estella handle it. He had expected this. He wasn't stupid. Peter Pan and Captain Hook had a legendary rivalry, one that ran deep.
Estella huffed, placing her hands on her hips. "I know what his father did. But Harry isn't his father. He's different."
Paxton scoffed. "You really believe that?"
"Yes," she said firmly. "I do."
Her cousins exchanged a look, their expressions still hard, but they said nothing.
Harry finally spoke up, his voice surprisingly calm.
"Look, I get it," he said, his accent thick as he met their glares. "If I were ye, I'd hate me too. But I love Estella. I'd never hurt her."
Penelope's jaw clenched, while Paxton just huffed, looking away.
"Guess we'll see about that," Penelope muttered.
The first day back at school after being away for a year was rough for Estella.
The whispers started the second she walked through the grand halls of Auradon Prep.
"Is that Estella?"
"She's changed so much."
"Where has she even been?"
She rolled her eyes, pretending not to hear them as she walked beside Uma, who was also growing annoyed with the unwanted attention.
"People need t' mind their own damn business," Uma muttered under her breath.
Stella hummed in agreement, flipping one of her blonde curls over her shoulder as they entered their first classâHistory of Magic.
Boring.
Not even five minutes into the lesson, and she was already regretting her life choices.
Uma, equally unbothered, started doodling in her workbook while Stella lazily painted her nails a deep emerald green. The two quietly whispered back and forth, laughing under their breaths, completely uninterested in whatever the professor was droning on about.
Unfortunately, their lack of enthusiasm didn't go unnoticed.
"Miss Trident. Miss Bell." The professor's voice was sharp as he narrowed his eyes at them. "If you two refuse to pay attention, perhaps you'd be better suited in another class."
Stella bit back a smirk, glancing at Uma, who raised a brow as if to say, Shall we?
Stella shrugged. Might as well.
The two stood up, collecting their things and sauntering out of the room without protest.
"That was easy," Stella snickered as they walked through the halls.
Uma rolled her eyes. "Yeah, well, let's see if our next class is any better."
Their next class?
History of Woodsmen and Pirates.
A class specifically designed to teach the so-called "proper history" of piracy and those who sailed the seas.
Estella wasn't sure if she was excited or dreading it.
At least this time, she wouldn't be alone.
As soon as they walked in, she spotted Harry, Gil, and a few other pirates who had also decided to attend Auradon Prep.
Harry, as expected, was already slouched in his chair, boots up on the desk, looking utterly disinterested in whatever the class had to offer.
When he saw Estella, his lips curled into a smirk. "Well, well, look who finally showed up."
She rolled her eyes, taking the seat next to him while Uma and Gil took their spots nearby.
The class hadn't even started yet, but Estella already knew one thing for sure.
This was going to be a long day.
The classroom was livelyâlouder than expected for a history class. Most of the students were from Auradon, but a good number of VKs and pirates had joined as well, making it a very mixed group.
The teacher, an older man with salt-and-pepper hair and a stiff posture, entered the room, tapping his cane against the floor for attention. "Settle down, everyone."
Harry did not put his feet down.
Uma side-eyed him, kicking his boot off the desk. "Oi. At least pretend t' care."
Harry scoffed but didn't argue, lazily straightening in his seat.
Estella smirked at their exchange before glancing around. History of Woodsmen and Pirates. It sounded like a class that should be interesting, but she had a feeling they'd be hearing the Auradon-approved version of events.
And she was right.
For the first fifteen minutes, the teacher went on and on about "legendary sailors and noble explorers"âbut conveniently left out actual pirates.
Harry's patience lasted a grand total of twenty minutes before he loudly exhaled, leaning back in his chair.
"Professor, ye do know pirates exist, aye?" he drawled. "Ye talk as if the only ones who mattered were the ones with a shiny title."
A few VKs and pirates snickered.
The professor turned to him, clearly unimpressed. "And you must be Harry Hook."
Harry tipped his head dramatically. "Aye, the one an' only."
The professor sighed. "Piratesâreal piratesâwere criminals, thieves, and menaces to the sea. They were not heroes."
Uma immediately scoffed, arms crossing. "That's funny. I don't remember the royal families ever starving or struggling to survive. But we did. Who do you think were the real criminals?"
A murmur rippled through the VKs in the room.
Estella smirked, adding, "You lot love to tell history through a rose-colored lens, don't you?"
The professor's jaw tightened. "History is written by those who build society, Miss Bell. Not by those who seek to destroy it."
Harry laughed. "Aye, an' who decided that rule? Ye?"
The professor looked seconds away from throwing them all out. "Enough. If you refuse to take this class seriously, you're welcome to leave."
Harry, Uma, and Estella exchanged glances.
Then, in perfect sync, they all stood up.
Gil, not wanting to be left behind, jumped up, too.
The professor groaned, rubbing his temples. "Youâwhere are you going?"
Estella grinned, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "We refuse to take this class seriously."
With that, the four of them simply walked out, pirates and VKs cheering as they left.
Lesson learned: Auradon's history lessons were still absolute rubbish.
