I was at work, today was a light day really it was a 5-9:30 I'm working on getting my house. Everybody knows the story about a messed up family mom a druggie, I really can't wait to leave her ass. I thought to myself looking at the bruises on my arm, it's like she wanna fight every second of the day.
I'm moving KayKay out before she's able to remember little things like these. I work at the mall at both foot locker and chick-fla-a. They both pay well I just can't stand stocking when I would be at foot locker. But I got snapped out of my thoughts when my co-worker asked me a question.
"Summer are you closing tonight?" he asked I nodded.
"I believe so why?" I replied.
"I'm about to head out," he said I gave him a thumbs up as he walked out. I finished off the last load and closed down and walked out back to my car. I got in the car and leaned on the steering wheel and sighed.
"I'm so tired," I said to myself going to Destiny's house. I cut the car off and got out of the car and knocked on the door. I heard the door unlocking and I looked up to see Destiny.
"Hey girl...you ok?" she asked.
"Yea" We walked in walking up to her room I saw KayKay still asleep.
"She has been sleeping since I left?" I asked.
"No, she just went back to sleep like 30 mins ago" she replied.
"Oh ok," I picked her up and was about to walk out.
"If you need to stay you can summer," she said looking at me.
"No I'm fine I'll see y'all tomorrow though" I walked outside the house heading to my car. I strapped KayKay in and got in the car and headed home. Once I made it and pulled into the driveway and took a moment to prepare myself.
I got Kaykay out of the car and walk to the door putting my key in to unlock the door letting myself in. I saw my mom sitting on the stairs waiting as I shook my head knowing she was about to trip.
"Where the hell have you been with my child keeping her out till..." she stopped looking at her phone "10 at night" I tried to say something but she cut me off.
"You know what you really piss me off you know that right" she said.
"Please not tonight momma I'm tired I gotta lay KayKay down" I said hoping she would open them big ass hears of hers and actually hear me.
"WHO ARE YOU? Telling me what to do and what not to do" she said walking up on me slapping me in my face. I put my hand on her chest pushing her back.
"Look just let me lay her down and you can do all that later" I pleaded and she hit my arm hitting me again. I pushed her hard making her fall and went upstairs going in my room locking the door.
"Sister you ok?" KayKay asked me looking at me.
"Yes I'm fine baby can you sleep with me tonight? " I asked her not wanting to put her in her room and momma on sum weird shit. And not know what she on and end up putting ha hands on KayKay Ima hurt that hoe for real.
I laid her down and put her under the cover and here go momma banging on the door.
"YOU GONE PUT YO HANDS ON ME AGAIN?!?" She said knocking.
"I'm so sorry, just lay down and close your ears mama" I told her getting up.
I really wanna beat this hoe ass but I can't she da only reason I got a roof over me and Kay's head. I ain't got enough right now and that's really killing me.
"I KNO- I know you hear me summer I worked this hard to raise you can't just turn your back on me" she said and started crying I shook my head and opened the door walking out closing it behind me.
As soon as I stepped out she started hitting me. I grabbed her hands and wrapped them around her and held her. She continued to cry and I just look at da wall I am so tired of this man.
"It's ok just go to sleep," I told her as she started to get heavier and heavier so I sat down and she laid on me and I put my head against a wall. After a while she went to sleep i helped her to the room and laid her down.
"Look I'm sorry" she said I kept my back turned to her looking at the door not wanting to look at her crying. I wiped my face and spoke breaking the silence.
"Momma just go to sleep" I told her and walk off going in my room closing the door while locking it.
"I can't sleep" KayKay said I looked at her.
"Ima take a shower and we can watch lots of movies till you go to sleep ok?" I said and she nodded giving me a big smile. I walked to the bathroom and closed to door and took a quick shower.
I was getting dressed when I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and shook my head. I put on a smile and walked out of the room grabbing KayKay.
"What you wanna watch princess?" I asked her.
"Disney" she said and I put on Disney channel and let it play.
"You stay up wimme? I scared" She asked and I nodded reassuring her that I was. Time went by and we went to sleep at like 2 or 3.
"Sister i'm hungry" she said shaking me I got up and rubbed my hand down my face. We walked in the bathroom and got cleaned up and put on something presentable. I held her hand as we went downstairs heading to my car.
I strapped her in then got in myself. I yawned and looked back at KayKay.
"What you want to eat?" I asked her it was still morning it was goin on 8.
"Eggs" she replied I took us to ihop once I pulled up i found a parking spot.
"You wanna eat in?" I asked and she nodded I got out getting her out as well.
"You look so pretty today mama" I said grabbing her out her seat.
"Thank you" she said I'm really surprised on her speaking.
"We see Asia?" She asked and I nodded we walked in and were seated.
"Excuse me are we able to order right now?" I asked and she turned back around.
"Yea of course what can I get y'all?" she said smiling I ordered Kay's food and drink and they brought it out. And as she ate I called destiny.
"Hey can I come over KayKay wanna see Asia." I asked as soon as she answered the phone.
"Yea what y'all doing?" She asked and I turned the camera around putting it on Kay as she was stuffing her face with eggs. I grabbed a napkin and wiped her face and hands handing her the phone.
"Heyy" Kay said putting her face in the camera I called the waitress and asked for the bill.
"Hey baby you was hungry huh? About to eat da plate" I laughed a lil.
"Yea not no mo" she said I payed the bill and picked her up walking out.
"We'll be there in a min" I said.
"Igh" I hung up and put kay in the car.
"You full?" I asked her as I strapped her in.
"Mhm" she nodding as I got in the car and drove to destiny's house I got out of the car and went around to get Kay out too and walk up to the door knocking. Ashton came to the door opening it letting me in.
"Wsp Summer" he said closing the door.
"Hey Ash, she in her room? " I asked looking at him.
"Hell yea" he said Kay ran to Asia inna living room.
"Ima be upstairs mama" I told her.
"Okk" she said and I went upstairs to destiny's room and I looked at her.
"I'm soo sleepy" I told her she held her arms out and I smiled laying on her going to sleep.
Am I doing to much talking? like we still ain't to the good stuff
