Private Dining Room
The elder had chosen a discreet chef's table, the kind of place that served just one party a day. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the city, it was small but absolutely
hidden from prying eyes.
Reginald's meeting with Alicia was meant to be completely off the radar.
His very presence in Seaview City was already a risk. If word got out if Jade or Brandon caught wind that he was meeting Alicia now-there'd be hell to pay.
Clayton waited outside the door, giving Alicia a subtle nod to go in alone.
Alicia hesitated but stepped inside.
"Reginald," she greeted politely.
Reginald's eyes were rimmed red. He stared at her for a long moment, lost in thought.
Alicia grew uneasy. âReginald?"
Clayton stepped forward. "Sir, your tea's gone cold. I'll fetch a fresh pot," he said, quietly reminding him before picking up the teapot and leaving.
Reginald seemed to come back to himself. He offered Alicia a gentle smile. "I asked you here today for just one thing. I wanted to talk to you ask if you'd consider divorcing Tyrone."
Alicia lowered her gaze. So, after all, it really was about divorcing Tyrone.
Seeing the look on her face, Reginald rushed to explain. "I'm not here to force you. I just want to know how you feel. Is there real love between you and Tyrone, or is it just a contract, just about the money?"
He was thinking that if Alicia didn't truly care for Tyrone, staying together for money's sake was pointless. He wanted her to decide for herself.
"Reginald, whether or not Tyrone is the Lynch Corporation's heir, as long as he doesn't want a divorce, I will never leave him." Alicia's voice was steady and sincere.
"So, you do have feelings for him?" Reginald nodded, visibly pleased. He liked Alicia as his granddaughter-in-law, and when he'd discovered that Alicia was actually Nicole, he'd been overjoyed.
Some things, he thought, were simply meant to be.
It seemed the White family was destined to have Tyrone as their son-in-law.
"You know, Tyrone's grandfather has a new grandson now-a promising young man, by all accounts. He's supposed to inherit everything, and Maddox is basically forcing Tyrone out of the family business." Reginald sighed, shaking his head. Maddox had lost his way, but that's how it went; people got selfish in old age.
Alicia nodded. Her voice was unwavering. "I know. No matter where Tyrone stands,
as long as he stays true to me, I won't leave him."
Unless Tyrone's heart changed.
As long as he still loved her, she would never walk away.

"You're about to leave for Italy soon. If Tyrone has to start over outside Lynch Corporation, he'll be wrapped up in his work, maybe for years. Even the joins another company, there be a long adjustment You two might barely see each other for a while. Are you sure you can both stay faithful?" Reginald asked, searching her eyes.
Alicia was silent for a moment, then nodded. "I trust Tyrone."
"Good, good." Reginald smiled, nodding. When Clayton returned, he signaled for the server to start bringing out the food. "Eat up, Alicia. You're looking too thin. Clayton told me you're expecting again-now's the time to take care of yourself. Don't skimp on your meals."
Alicia blinked, a little surprised. Was this really all Reginald wanted to discuss?
It didn't feel like he was threatening or pressuring her at all.
Harboridge City
Nicole and Brandon had invited Marcus and Valery out for dinner.
They'd chosen the most upscale hotel in the city.
Brandon treated Marcus like royalty, and for a moment, Marcus felt as if he'd
returned to the peak of his glory days.
Reginald had already made his
decision: tomorrow, there would be
a press conference to announce that Tyrone would step down from Lynch
Corporation. The company's
inheritance would pass to Easton,
with the current CEO, Morton, acting
as interim head until Easton graduated and could take the reins himself. Content belongs to
