She couldnât understand how Tyrone could just leave his grandfather abandoned at a hotel, completely unattended...

Nicole paced the room, nervously biting her fingernail. âSis, if Alicia really is pregnant, Maddox wonât force them to get divorced anymore.â
Jadeâs voice was low, simmering with anger. âUseless. You still havenât gotten rid of that baby?â
âTyrone barely lets Alicia out of his sight for a second. We havenât had a single chance,â Nicole replied, her voice tight with frustration.
âItâs fine... Maddox is suspicious by nature. Alicia was with Vincent for four years, remember? I know exactly how to deal with her.â Jade smiled coldly.
âIâll have Vincent step up and claim the baby as his. Heâll say the babyâs his.â
âWill the old man believe it?â Nicole asked anxiously.
âOf course. After what Tyrone went through all those years ago, heâs always been wary of women. The only reason Maddox ever agreed to let him marry and have kids before Nicole came back was because he was worried Tyroneâs issues would mean the Lynch family would never have an heir.
For someone whoâs avoided women his whole life to suddenly get a woman pregnant? Thatâs suspicious enough on its own. If Vincent jumps in to claim the kid, Maddox will immediately believe itâs his.â
Jade was completely confident.
There was no way Maddox wouldnât suspect something.
Tyrone was nearly thirty, and in all that time, heâd never let a woman get close to him. Except for Serena, no woman had ever touched him.
It had been better these last few years, but back in high school, he couldnât even manage normal conversation with girls.
âIâll play along,â Nicole said with a sly smile.
If they could just get rid of Aliciaâs baby before it was born, no one would ever know for sure whose child sheâd been carrying.

Alicia stretched lazily and realized Tyrone was already gone, though the sheets beside her were still warm.
âTyrone?â She climbed out of bed and hurried to the door, calling out anxiously.
No answer.
Feeling a little let down, Alicia trudged into the bathroom to get ready, then headed downstairs to make herself some breakfast. But as she reached the kitchen, she found Tyrone leaning casually against the doorframe, grinning at her.
Aliciaâs eyes lit up, and before she knew it, she was running straight into his arms.
For a moment, sheâd thought... maybe Serena had called him away again.
âHow about steak and egg sandwiches for breakfast?â Tyrone scooped her up in a bear hug, looking down at her for approval.
He was dressed in casual loungewear, hair tousled, looking effortlessly handsome.
