I watch Dontae glare at me from across the table so I smil sweetly at
him. I'm not really sure why Louisa was in the middle but I dare say its
the same reason both sisters sat across from her with there mates
beside them. I look up at Candy, the baby of the family and notice she
is grinning at me, I was a little confused until I saw Xander with a huge
grin on his face and a deep purple shirt that matched his eyes.
(That cheeky bastard had planned for us to match and to top it off I
was more on his side of the table then Dontae's.)
I give Xander my sharpest glare and shake my head at him.
"You look Gorgeous Lilliana.â Mary says with a big smile.
"thank you, and I love that green dress, it goes well with your blue eyes
"The pore thing blushes like a tomato.
"Thank you, So how have you been?" she ask as a maid starts bringing
out the first dish.
"Good, I opened up a mechanic work shop, we not only fix cars but we
make design's for the body. Some racers have come in wanting specific
things and I'm glade they liked them." I tell her as I think of my life
since I've been on my own.
"And who does the designs? I would like to see some of his work, I've
always wanted a dragon on the side of my car.â one of Xander's men
says with a dreamy look on his face, I laugh at him
"I'll see what I can come up with and we can go from there.â I tell him
and receive a big smile in return, he was like a kid finally getting his
favourite toy from Santa
"Where's dad?" Candy question made me freeze and I quickly look
down at my soup, I push the pea and ham soup away with disgusted
look on my face.
Nasty crap, I'm so not eating that. I look up and remember Candy asked
her mother a question, I quickly look to Louisa.
"He's helping some young pups with their training.â was all she told
them, I sigh knowing she had no intention of telling them anything.
"Why is he doing that now? he never used to." Mary asked in confusion,
she was right the old king never did anything like this, he would
normally leave it up to my father or Alphas to help the young ones
become one with there wolves.
"There are many young who need help and because your father is no
longer the king he has decided to help the young ones out.â it sounded
logical but I knew the only reason he was doing it was because of my
son.
"But mother that is there father's job, not our fathers.â I put my head
down at Xander's words, our next tray of food was brought in, sweet
and sour pork with salad and chips on the side. I slowly pick at the
chips on my plate
"Some children do not have a father to help train them and you can not
expect the Alphas to always do the job. Who else is better to help then
your own father?â I could feel anger coming from Louisa as she spoke
to her son.
"I'm sorry mother, you are right, father is the better option when it
comes to helping train the next generation.â I was hoping that now we
could change the subject but nope looks like everyone now had
something to say.
"I don't know how Alphas find the time to help the children, I know my
mate is always busy with the pack.â I hear Candy say.
"imagine all those young ones without someone to guide them." Karen
pops up with, it hit home as I though of my own young pup, but I was
grateful his grandfather was there to help in this type of situation.
"What kind of father leaves his pup to so it on his own like that? They
need a punch in the face the selfish pricks.â I hear one of Xander's men
grumble and the rest of the table agree with him. I think of them all
beating the crap out of Xaidens father and have to hold a giggle back
from being herd.
"Is that why you sent your pup away for training? because his father
walked out on you Liliana." and the bitch pipes in, I turn to stare at her
and see her clinging onto Dontae's arm.
