there he was.
the only person who i knew i could talk out of this mess. i thought i was dreaming but i wasnt. my father , my brother all alive .... well im not so sure about my dad. where is my mom is all im questioning?
when i said i wanted to speak to my parents i didnt mean this what so ever. i was in shock that niall actually shot our dad. i know thats who he grew up with so it must've been hard.
" brother" i repeat one last time before taking a tentative step closer.
he pulls his blank and hardened gaze up until it reaches mine. alejandro and kairi managed to let me out of there hold. wow , he looks so much like mom. eyes as golden as honey and the sunlight. his skin was more on the tanner side like mine.
" av," he smiles slightly. my lunges puls as i hear his voice. " come here , hermanita." i cant help but to look around to see if everything is actually real. the gaze ny fiancé has on his fave shows that it is , confirming everything.
felix , dave , and ale still hold their guns up tentatively , like they are not they aren't so sure what to make of this.
i slowly walk up to him but im stuck one step before him. he does the favor and steps forward. " your here , what? where is mama?" i ask quietly.
immediate tears overflows his eyes. i cant tell if they are happy , angery , or sad tears. " she is gone" he answers me. i pause because what im hearing cant possibly be true. " no , no where is mama? where is she niall?"
" av , she is gone because of him. he killed mother." he points harshly to our half dead father on the grass. no.
" no please , you piece of shit! why did you do it? why?" i cried because she might've been the only person good except for niall.
" avery? what's happening?" my fiancé stands next to me. niall looks at him like he is familiar with him. " your vanessa son? right?"
mattia sucks in an audible breath. he nearly crashes into me but niall catches him before he could. " he is losing way too much blood , av he has to get to a doctor and now." my brother tells me.
" kai please call the doctors now," i scream for help. " hey baby , look at me im gonna help stop the bleeding okay."
i start taking off his jacket and my hands start to become covered in blood. a sheen of sweat coveres his forehead and he groans. his eyes start to slowly close. shit. i slap his face to stay awake. " hey what the hell did a say mattia, your not leaving me and this baby okay. come on." i cry as he struggles to keep his eyes open.
i quickly tie his jacket around his shoukder wound to apply as much pressure to stop the bleeding. he tries to. control his breathing and fights the pain.
" come on , dont you dare close your eyes on me." i hold down on the wound. my dress , hands , and face is covered in blood. i struggle to see because of the tears in my eyes. mattias head jerk into a nod. " look avery , i dont know how long i can stay awake but i love you okay. promise me , you wont let me go."
" no mattia come on , dont dont say that please. baby please you cant leave me okay , not right now."
ale rushes over to me and him. " kai where the hell are the doctors man?" ale yells at him from a distance as he accompanies his capo on the grass. " mattia , look , hey look at me. your gonna be fine okay. you are gonna be okay." he tells him , mattia is still trying to keep his eyes open.
i look behind me and my dad is still on the floor curled up. niall is still hovering over me and mattia. " felix , put the gun down its my fucking brother for god sake."
" sorry for being untrusting at this moment but im supposed to protect you at all cost." felix speaks with suspicion.
" yeah well she said out the fucking gun down , so put it down." niall yells at felix.
" i wont hesitate to pierce your face with a bullet so i advise you to watch your mouth." felix yells sternly at him.
" niall..." my father croaks. " ale keep applying pressure till the doc gets hear." i instruct him. " what..." he gasp.
" oh father," niall walks over to him with calm slow steps. i follow behind him slowly. his expression is deadly and stotic, ive never seen him like this. " ive waited for this day to put that same exact bullet in your chest , the next one is gonna be in your head. the only reason your alive is because i want to enjoy your pain a little longer."
" you betrayed me for someone you dont even know." his voice has become hoarse for the lack of air coming into his throat. " how could you? after everything ive done for you."
i cant tell if my father blanches because of the blood loss or the sight of his son betraying him. " you havent done anything but lie to me about my family. first you send of my sister , then you kill my mother. ive tried to be the best for you and it still wasnt enough." my brother plants a cold smirk on his face.
panic flashes across his face and then sick fury. he tries reaching for the gun he dropped to the floor earlier bug i manage to kick it with alarming speed.
" give me the gun," i command niall. he slowly places it into my hand.
" you know , ive always hoped to meet my parents and get some clarity as to why they did what they did. but it wasnt my mother it was you, just you all along. your gonna die never knowing how we know , your soul will be restless fight for peace. guess what you lose."
" you dont care for no one except yourself and i hope you rot in hell. you deserve every thing satan has in store for you and trust me ill be there to watch , so save me a seat."
he manages to sit up but niall kicks his face and he falls back to the ground. " this is for vanessa. for mama. for me. for all of them. fuck you!" my voice hard as steel , bug there is a quiver in there somewhere.
my breath catches in my throat as i pull back the safety and fire the gun. blood sprays on my already covered dress and face. his body goes limp and the grass beneath him is coated in red and his open eyes stare. dead. holy fuck.
niall uses his two fingers to close them. niall pulls me in for a hug. " im so so sorry hermanita , for all of this." he whispers in my ear. we hear a van pull up and its the doctors. i run back to mattia and sit next to him. he looks like he has little to no life.
the doctor takes one look at mattia and curses underneath his breath. " help me get him transported," he snaps at ale and kairi. " now."
" step back avery," dave urges gently and takes over for me , holding the jacket over the wound.
" wait." panic seizes my lungs. mattia looks delirious , soaked in sweat and eyes shut. i dont even think he can hear me. " let me go with them,"
" they will take care of it. lets go."
" no i need to be with him, i dont want him to be alone."
alejandro steps out of the van. he smooths my hair down gently. " i will make sure nothing happens to him , bimba. he is a friend to me too. you have my word , va bene?"
" please," i whisper to him and grip his hand desperately and place it on my stomach. " dont let him die."
he nods solemnly, giving my forehead a kiss and rubbing my belly. he get bavk into the van with mattia , leaving felix , niall , and dave.
there is a huge boulder in my throat as i watch him being taken away in the van. " give me your phone, now" i order the soldier.
he unlocks ig and gives it to me with no questions asked. i scroll through his contacts finding the exact number im looking for.
" mr.polibio," i plead softly when im instructed to leave a message. " i know , im probably not your biggest fan but your son needs you. dont leg whatever fight get in the way of you not being here for him especially when he needs you the most. and as of my .... father he is dead. vincenzo is dead. so please come be with your son , he will always need you more than anything."
the phone beeps when my time expires. i reluctantly hand the phone back to dave who looks just as somber as i feel. " you must really love him," niall says after a moment and i know he is referring to mattia.
i look into the messy front yard and my fathers dead corpse. " with everything i have." i look into the direction of where the van went and let my heart follow them.
" can i hug you?" i croak desperately.
he nods and pulls me in. my tears soak his shirt. " thank you for coming back to me." i tell him. " i will always find a way back to you av."
" avery , what are you gonna do when they come for you?" dave asked me , dangerous question.
" what i always do , kill."
i take a deep breath and wipe my tears. " okay i need to get out of this dress and head to the doctor. i also need so water because my baby has to be hydrated." i breath out.
" surprised you didnt give birth throughout this whole thing. where did you learn to shoot like that?" felix asked me.
" its in my blood i guess and my baby is a miracle." i state rubbing my belly.
mattia if you can here me , please come back to me. dont leave me like this okay. i love you with everything in my heart. its not time for you to go yet so please dont die. keep fighting for us! this is the impossible , but we can work through it.

hey guys i cried a few times throughout writing this. especially the last part. lord , lets just say so much fucking happened.
i was shocked i wrote all of this. ohh i started school today and it wasnt as bad as i thought. well i am home schooled so there is a difference.
