majority of the plane ride was filled with snoring or people going back and forth from the restroom. mattia face was planted in the crook of my neck snoring his life away. the breath escaping his mouth tickles my neck but i try not to move because he is comfortable.
" ms.adair we are landing," the flight attendant informs me. i nod my head in response and she disappears behind the thick black curtains. i look down to mattia and lightly shake his shoulders. he immediately jumps up because he is a light sleeper. giving the lifestyle he lives , he has no choice.
" what happened?" he questions. " we are landing ," i answer. the plane slowly comes to a stop indicating that we have landed.
the door of the plane opens and everyone begins to stand up. me and mattia exit the plane first being greeting by our guards. " i hope you had safe travels miss," dave says.
" i didn't get to enjoy it much because your boss doesn't know how to stop snoring," i smile but very small. " i wasn't that bad compared to kairi." mattia states while fixing his tux.
i look behind me and everyone was practically off of the plane. " what is the update status on our luggage and my father?" mattia asked his assistant. we begin to walk to wherever the hell he is going.
" all of your luggage has arrived to the house sir. your father expects you at 7 pm and its currently 5:15. the drive is approximately 1 hour and there are two limos waiting for you." she answers.
" okay lets get going then," mattia states. he grabs onto my hand as we are being led to the limo. as the guard opens the door mattia , alejandro , kairi , mark , jessica , ali , blair and i all enter one limo. the rest of the panthers ride in the other one. ever since we got o that plane i have been nervous to meet mattia's dad again.
i don't know if i have to keep up with the assistant act or what? the limo pulls off and i pull out my phone camera to fix any flaws with my makeup. " you seem tense , is everything okay?" mattia places a hand on my thigh and moves closer to my ear.
" im nervous,"
" why?"
" do i have to keep up with the assistant act or can i finally be your girlfriend in front of your dad?"i asked.
it takes him to long to answer and it's pissing me off. he needs to say something now or he will be accompanying that place alone. " you can be my girlfriend or my wife, you pick." he finally answers.
i know he read my facial expressions that's why he finally answered.

pulling under the carport of the restaurant i admire its beauty. it was truly amazing and pretty big. the door opens with mattia stepping out first and i follow. i take a deep breath to calm my nerves. i take a good look around and everyone outside is dressed like they are going to a wedding.
jessica comes up behind me and fixes my long dress. i honestly hate wearing heels with long dresses but it was best for the occasion. i follow mattia's lead into the restaurant and it was quite full. the hallways were not as packed as outside.
we come to an immediate stop at a desk , " mattia polibio" mattia speaks. the man at the front nods and tells us which direction to go.
somehow we had to walk upstairs to get to mattia's father. as we reached up a few steps two guards stood outside of a big door. as they open i get a peek inside and it looks like a ballroom.classy , elegant music plays slowly throughout the place , still being able to hear the murmuring of people talking.
the room was dimly lit and tall , round , white covered tables scattered across the ballroom. we walk in and a burst of laughter catches my ear. it sounds like mattia's dad and from the looks of it i was correct. mattia wraps my arm around his and we walk over to him.
" father," mattia says caching his fathers attention. " figlio mio, sono così felice di vederti" his father smiles with a champagne glass in his hands.
he pulls mattia into a hug almost forgetting im latched to his arm. occumpanied with mr.polibio is 2 older men and one close to mattia's age.
" and avery , you look beautiful!" he says pulling in for a hug as well. he smells like alcohol and strong rich cologne. he lets ho of me and i already know what's coming next.
" how is it being my son's assistant? i hope everything has been running smoothly." he smiles.
i fail to answer his question leaving it to mattia. " father , avery is no longer my assistant." mattia clears his throat.
mattia's father smile fades , " why? is everything okay?"
" yes papa , our relationship status has changed. avery is no longer my assistant but she is my girlfriend." mattia smiles.
" oh thats amazing to hear , congratulations!" he says shocking both me and mattia. me and mattia glance at each other before looking away.
" well if you would like to excuse me gentlemen, ill be going to get a drink." i excuse myself. walking away from the group of people , i feel eyes on me but at this point im used to it.
i walk to the bar and request in my order. i felt very uncomfortable because of the men eyeing me down. the barista hands me my drink and i take light sips.
i stare around to look for jessica but she was no where in site. i spotted alejandro and kairi , they were having a conversation with a set of women.
" looking for someone," a voice appears in my ear. i didnt even notice that a person in my presence.
" not really," i answer turning around. i come face to face with the man from earlier.
" im axel , your name is?" he is trying to build conversations. " im avery,"
" its a pleasure to meet you avery , might i add your very beautiful." he smiles.
" thank you very much axel" i manage to finish my glass of wine , while trying to think of someto say. " let me guess- your here for buisness?"
he grins , the action softening his face. " guilty. but in the black sheep that hates this shit so i managed to sneak away while mh brother and father drink their life away."
" i get the feeling your doing the same thing,"
" wow. how dare you?"
i cover my mouth as a small laugh escapes my mouth.
" your dress is very beautiful" he gestures to me. " honestly your not giving the rest of these women a fair chance."
the acknowledgment feels really nice , even though i know he is flirting with me. " a good dress can make anyone pretty."
" oh really? can i borrow it sometime?"
i laugh again , this time giving him a light shove. he laughs back , " im kidding , it's obviously way to small."
we share another laugh , i haven't laughed like this in a while and it felt pretty good.

" i would like for you to meet amara , amara this is my son , mattia." my father greets me to someone.
my eyes catch hers and all i can say is she is pretty. she has light brown hair with green eyes. she was wearing a light blue dress the fit her complexion.
she reaches her hand out to shake mine and i shaked her hand. this is really awkward because of the way she is looking at me.
" i was just telling my son about how beautiful this side of italy is , he just moved here today." my dad continues the conversation.
i check my watch every five seconds to figure out why it's taking avery so long to get back. " oh really? yes this side is really amazing amd the view is lovely." abella or whatever her name his chirps in.
her voice his ratherly annoying and isnt as smooth as avery's. " well i have yet to see my side of italy , so we will see about that." i say looking away.
i hear a small laugh which sounds like averys and i try to follow it. i look over to the bar and she is standing there with some dude.
" if you will excuse me for a second,"
