Susan and Edward discussed the details of the divorce a long time ago. Except that it was half a year from their divorce and they discussed it after sex. That was why Susan felt that whatever was discussed could not be taken seriously.

When Edward saw that Susan was back, he looked at her and said, “You’re back.”

After the call, Vanessa took a shower and put on makeup. She looked at herself in the mirror and remarked on how well she had taken care of herself. Her beauty had not diminished over these years. But... but why had Edward distanced himself from her.

Ryan had been waiting at their old spot next to the window at the Corner Café by the time Vanessa arrived.

Once Vanessa walked over, he quickly pulled out the chair for her. After she sat down, he said happily to Vanessa, “When did you come back? Does Edward know?”

“I’ve been back for a while already and Edward knows that I’m back.” Vanessa lowered her gaze and said softly.
