Epilog

June 1828

It had taken them a full two months to find Jane and tell her the whole sorted tail of her family. Today they had assembled everyone including Jane and her husband Hew for the funeral of Trudy Summers and Nesbit Everleigh. Jane was not there for her father she was there to let her mother know that her life turned out fine and she was happy. She had married a wealthy Baron and happened to marry for love they had eight children she had with her to wish Trudy well and peace. It was a hard service, but it was the right thing to do. Cora introduced all her children to Jane and knew that there would never be hard feelings between the families since everyone seemed to have moved on and was happy. After everyone left Johanna and Jensen went back down to do more work on the ship there were so many treasures that a lot of them were going to have to be donated to the London museum or donated back to the country they had been pirated from. Jensen and Johanna did not need the money or to expose their secret of the pirate in the family to anyone that was there secret and maybe one day they would share it with their children.

1833

Pauline and Luther were traveling to visit Jo and Jensen's country estates. Jo was giving birth to their first child after five years of marriage and they were told to take her out to the country to give birth after she had suffered three miscarriages. Luther and Pauline were stopping over at an inn to rest with their four children. They had been so blessed they had one boy and three girls their boy was the youngest he was named after Pauline's brothers William and Michael they had both passed away over the last couple of years and it was a fitting honor to have their heir named after the two men she always admired the most. They all filed out of the coach and into the inn for some food and rest. Pauline laughed at the name of the inn once a Duchess. When they walked in they knew what the funny name meant.

There serving tables and tending bar was Wilma and Egbert seems they did not achieve the greatness they wanted, and Wilma's father disowned her soon after her divorce from Luther. There was an awkward moment when a child ran into the inn announcing to her mother that a Duke and his family had arrived. When Wilma looked up to greet the esteemed family she seemed to collapse. Luther never one to hold a grudge went over to help her and caught her before she hit the floor.

"Are you alright Wilma, I did not mean to surprise you."

Egbert came over to check on his wife and went pale when he saw Luther. They had never paid for the damages the judge had awarded the Duke and they were running the risk of jail time. Luther knew what Egbert was thinking and laughed he should call the law but what for he did not need the money and he had his true love. He held no anger everything worked out for the best.

"I have written that debt off as paid Egbert it shall never be talked about again. I suggest you take your wife to lay down she seems to be in shock."

"You are right Luther I will do that."

"I might have forgiven you the debt, but I will never forgive you for your deception. It is your grace to you."

Egbert and Wilma never came back out one of the barmaids served them in a private dining room and then the Duke and his family left without another word. They arrived at the estate just after Jo had given birth to a healthy boy who they had named Benjamin Henry Everleigh.
