Chapter 3292 Fueling The Rumor

Throwing the blanket aside, Jake sat on the bed and looked at her. Jolted, Megan peeked out of the

sheets with her flaming red cheeks.

After dawdling around aimlessly, she opened her mouth but no words could come out.

When he saw how awkward she was, Jake decided not to embarrass her further. The moment he

pulled off the blanket, she shrieked, “What are you doing!”

Covering her own body, Megan had wanted to shield it with her blanket. However, Jake quickly

turned around in silence so that she could put on her clothes.

“Stop lying in bed and get up quick. I'll be going to work too and will drop you off at the film site.”

Staring at the broad shoulders of his back, Megan gawked for a moment. Scratching her head, she

quickly picked up her clothes from the floor.

He's no longer as angry compared to yesterday. Does this mean that he has forgiven me?

It seems men are much easier to pacify than women.

As both of them got dressed in silence, Megan went to the bathroom to wash up. She was surprised

to see that a new set of toiletries there. Did he get someone to prepare these yesterday?

As she began to brush her teeth, she felt both nervous and blissful at the same time.

Nervous because Jake had somehow made this into an ivory tower to keep her in. Nevertheless, she

was glad that she now knew how important she was to him.

While brushing her teeth, she looked in the mirror and didn’t find anything special about how she

looked. Therefore, she couldn“t fathom what Jake saw in her. Can it solely be because of the lie?

Lost in her thoughts, she suddenly heard Jake asking her to hurry up. After finishing up whatever

she was doing, she followed him downstairs to the car park.

After a while, Jake dropped her off somewhere nearby the film site where she walked there by

herself.

Before she became famous, her relationship with Jake would be easily misconstrued. Therefore, she

wanted to keep a low profile so that others would not think that she was a trophy girlfriend.

“Da*n it! Megan, you're finally here. Where the f*ck did you go after you landed?”

The moment Donna saw Megan, she who had never cursed before swore at Megan while

reprimanding her. When Megan saw the concern and anxiousness in Donna's eyes, she couldn't

help but feel guilty over her actions.

After being lost for words, she racked her brains and found an excuse. “Last night, I had too much to

drink with my friends and fell asleep in the hotel. Luckily, I remembered to turn up for work today.”

Donna rolled her eyes at Megan. But realizing that nothing untoward had happened to her, Donna's

anger subsided. “You could have at least sent a message. I was worried sick the whole night!

Anyway, it doesn't matter now. You'll be on in half an hour so you better hurry for your makeup.”

Donna felt frustrated when she saw that Megan had not put on any makeup. It was obvious that she

had just washed her face at the hotel before she came. Even her hair was still in a mess.

"Alright, I head there right away. By the way, has Rocky made his move? What's the latest on the

online comments about Jonas?”

After heading to the makeup booth, Megan asked Donna about Jonas while she had her makeup

done.

As Jake had picked her up the moment she landed, she had no time to find out about the latest

developments with regards to Jonas’ scandal.

In response, Donna glanced at Megan before checking her phone. She reported, “Rocky has taken

action and has managed to silence most of the comments about the scandal. Furthermore, the

internet is now filled with pictures of you and Jonas’ couple accessories. Even the fans that resented

you in the beginning now want you to make public your relationship, so as to confirm the rumors.”

Confirming the rumors was what Megan had originally intended. By doing so, she was one step

closer to victory.

However, given that the relationship was fake, she never intended to go public with it. All she

wanted was for the media to continue fueling the rumor.
