She decided to give the good news to Draco in person, sending him a quick note to him that afternoon asking if she could stop by after work. After his excited response, she waited somewhat impatiently for the end of the work day to come and tried to distract herself with her work in the meantime.

Harry knocked on her door a couple of hours later with a large grin on his face. "I heard someone may have gotten some good news."

Hermione laughed slightly and nodded. "He finally signed the papers."

"I told you we'd figure it out," Harry said smugly as he stepped into her office with his hands in his pockets.

"I know, I know." She smiled up at him and then gave him a confused look. "What's that look for?"

He simply shrugged and said, "I may have another surprise for you."

"What?"

Ginny then popped her head around the corner with a grin. "Hi stranger!"

Hermione immediately squealed with delight and jumped up from her desk, rushing over to embrace her friend. "Gin! Oh my god, you've been gone for two weeks!"

Ginny laughed as she hugged Hermione back tightly. "I know! The matches in America were all condensed because MACUSA's been tightening their security, so Gwenog decided to just stay in America for all of our matches!"

Pulling away from Ginny, Hermione squeezed her arms and said, "I have so much to catch you up on, Merlin I don't even know where to begin!"

"Don't worry, we'll have a girls' night here very soon at your cabin," Ginny said happily.

Hermione then looked between the two of them as she asked, "Wait, what are you two doing together?"

"We're taking our divorce papers to the Wizengamot," Harry explained. "Because Ginny's been out of the country, we haven't been able to finalize everything yet between us."

"I came by to Harry's office to get it taken care of and he wanted to surprise you since I just got back today," Ginny said.

Hermione smiled at them both and said, "I'm honestly so happy you guys are still friends after everything."

"It's honestly the best way that this could've turned out," Ginny said. "We both came to the conclusion that while we will always love and be there for each other, it's more as friends than anything else, and that works for us."

"That's fantastic!"

Harry moved closer and gave Hermione a side hug before saying, "Alright, our appointments in ten minutes so we better get going."

Hermione hugged him back and gave Ginny another tight hug before they both left her office and she went back to her desk. She was so happy that the two of them were still amicable with each other even though they were going through a divorce, and it made things a little easier knowing that she wouldn't have to choose sides in that situation.

After glancing down at her own divorce papers, she paused and wondered if she and Ron could ever get to that point of being friends again. Maybe after she had stopped hurting, possibly. Though the hurt was already starting to fade with the help of Draco being in her life. She couldn't forgive Ron for what he did but she could certainly move past it, especially considering the fact that he seemed to finally understand just how much it did hurt.

She shook her head then and pushed those thoughts aside, not wanting to deal with them at that moment and instead focusing on her work.

As five o'clock came around, she quickly packed her things up and locked her office before rushing down to the fireplaces and flooing to her home. After a quick change of clothes into something more comfortable she disapparated from her living room and landed just outside of Draco's manor.

By the time she had made it to the door he had already opened it and was smiling at her. She laughed and asked, "How did you know I was here?"

"You forget," He said while pointing to his ear. "Heightened sense of hearing. Even with your quiet pops when apparating, I can still tell when you arrive."

She smiled as he led her inside and they walked into the kitchen. "So what good news do you have for me?"

"Ron agreed to sign the papers!" She blurted out excitedly.

His face lit up at this and he said, "That's wonderful! How did you find that out?"

"He must have left them on my desk because when I got back from lunch, they were there," She explained with a large smile.

He pulled her in for a hug and picked her up, spinning her around excitedly while as they laughed together happily. As he set her back down, she stepped up onto the tips of her toes and gave him a quick kiss that he gladly returned.

"We need to have a celebratory dinner," Draco said with a grin afterwards.

Hermione returned the grin. "I won't say no to that!"

"Perfect!" He reached for her wrist to take a look at her watch. "I should be able to get a last-minute reservation for us."

"But I'm not dressed for the occasion," She said, looking down at her clothes. In her rush to meet him, she simply pulled on a pair of jeans and a light sweater.

He chuckled and gave her forehead a kiss. "I think you look perfect as always but you can certainly go home to change quickly if you want to."

"I'll make it very quick, I promise!" She gave him another kiss before disapparating back to her house.

"This is probably the happiest I have ever seen you five days before a full moon," Blaise said quietly as he leaned against Draco's office doorway the next morning.

Draco simply shrugged and leaned back in his chair. "I've just gotten some really good news recently."

"It wouldn't happen to have anything to do with your little date last night where you and Hermione were all over each other, would it?" Blaise asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm guessing the Prophet caught it?" Draco asked with a grin.

Blaise tilted his head slightly. "Let's just say that it's very obvious now that you two are seeing each other, and if she hasn't figured out her situation with the soon-to-be ex-husband yet..."

"But that's exactly what we were celebrating," Draco interrupted. "He signed the divorce papers."

"That's great!" Blaise then gestured towards the door. "Do you want to see the article?"

Draco thought about it for a few moments. "You know what? Why not? I want to see what all they got."

"They got a bit, trust me," Blaise said. "I'll be right back."

He left the office and Draco smiled to himself as he looked down at his desk. He lost himself in memories of the night before, continuing to smile until a horrible realization hit him.

In the excitement and happiness of finding out the good news, he had forgotten to take his Wolfsbane potion that night.

Draco was holding his head in his hands by the time Blaise came back, and Blaise paused in the doorway after noticing his friend's sudden change in demeanor.

"Is everything alright?" Blaise asked slowly.

"No, everything is not alright." Draco looked up then and stared at the wall, keeping his hands clasped in front of his face. "I forgot my potion yesterday."

"What?" Blaise immediately stepped into the room and shut the door behind him, casting a silencing spell on it for good measure. "How did you forget your potion?!"

"I got distracted by Hermione telling me the good news," Draco said with a near-emotionless tone. "I just completely forgot about it."

Blaise ran a hand over his hair and looked down at the floor. "Well...you need to tell Hermione."

"She is the last person I want to tell about this." Draco looked at Blaise then, anger flaring in his eyes.

"I understand, but she's the only one that can help you," Blaise said. "You need to tell her."

Deep down, Draco knew he was right; he just didn't want to admit it. In truth he was terrified about what Hermione would do and how she would react. She knew what happened the last time he had not taken the potion...and she would do whatever she could to prevent that from happening again.

"Alright," Draco said quietly.

Blaise nodded then before saying, "Let me know if there's anything I can do to help."

Draco sighed and put his head in his hands again. "I'm not sure if there is anything but I'll let you know. She's going to be so disappointed..."

"You don't know that," Blaise said reassuringly. "She probably deals with this all the time from other werewolves."

"Maybe..." Draco trailed off and in the silence he could feel the beginnings of his bones aching. With a groan, he stretched slightly and then asked, "Should I tell her in person or write to her?"

"Tell her in person."

Draco nodded and sighed again. "I'm not looking forward to this."

"She can't help you if you don't let her, mate," Blaise said quietly.

"That's not what I mean," Draco said sadly. "We were doing so well. She believes that I'm so responsible and that she doesn't have to remind me every day to take my potions because of that."

"Well you are," Blaise said, gesturing towards him. "I've never known you to miss taking a potion. Though granted you never had anyone or anything that captured your attention quite the way Hermione does."

"That shouldn't be an excuse, though." Draco stood up and stuffed his hands in his pockets, pacing behind his desk. "Maybe I got too attached too quickly. I shouldn't be distracted like that, it can be fatal to other people."

Blaise narrowed his eyes. "You're not thinking about ending things with her, are you?"

"Blaise, I have been diligently taking my potions every month for four and a half years. I've never had a girlfriend around the full moon because one: I didn't want to hurt them; and two: I didn't want to be distracted." Draco paused and rubbed the back of his neck in frustration. "I don't want to hurt anyone again. I can't do that. And if she was able to distract me this easily..."

He heard a shuffling noise and then was suddenly smacked in the face hard with a rolled-up Daily Prophet.

"What the fuck, Blaise?!" Draco exclaimed, holding a hand over his noise in pain.

Blaise pointed towards him with the rolled-up paper and glared. "Hermione Granger is the best thing that has ever happened to you. If you are seriously considering breaking things off with her because of one slip up, then I will continue to smack you with this paper every day for the rest of your life."

"Why?!" Draco growled.

"I hear negative reinforcement works really well with dogs," Blaise stated, struggling to keep a straight face. "And smacking them lightly with a newspaper when they do something wrong seems to be a common suggestion."

Draco glared at Blaise while rubbing his face, growling quietly. "'Lightly' my ass..."

"Don't make me do it again," Blaise threatened, holding the paper up for emphasis.

"Do that and I will bite you," Draco countered, leaning against his desk. "I'm not saying I want to break things off, and it would only be until after the full-"

Smack!

"Blaise, I swear to Merlin!" Draco raged, glaring at the other wizard.

"Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound right now?!" Blaise exclaimed.

Draco paused after noticing just how serious Blaise was now. Before he could say anything, Blaise went on: "You're seriously considering breaking things off temporarily with the only woman who is able to help you right now, and you really think that's going to go over well with her?"

"Well, when you put it like that, no..." Draco let out a frustrated sigh and looked up at the ceiling. "Look, it's been a long time since I've had to deal with this. I'm just panicking and trying to make sure no one gets hurt."

"If you don't tell her, I will," Blaise said, gesturing towards Draco again with the paper. "And I will tell her what you're planning on doing."

Draco narrowed his eyes. "You better not."

Without saying a word, Blaise tightened the paper in his hands and disapparated from Draco's office.

"Shit!"

Draco immediately disapparated as well, landing in front of the Ministry building. He watched as Blaise raced inside and quickly followed, but got caught in a crowd. The crowd of people weren't in any haste to get out of the way and Draco watched as Blaise quickly crossed the room to the lifts. Draco let out a frustrated growl and charged through in time to see the lift doors shutting with Blaise smirking from the inside.

"Zabini! You better not tell her!" Draco exclaimed, not caring that people were staring at him.

He looked around for another lift to take, racing to a nearby open one and requesting level four. The doors shut and he paced impatiently for what felt like an eternity, growling to himself.

The lift finally came to a stop and he pried the doors open, racing down the hallway to get to Hermione's office.

Blaise was already in Hermione's office talking to her, and Draco felt his other side rear up in anger. He raced across to the front door and angrily burst inside.

"-wanted to congratulate you on your successful divorce!" Blaise finished, looking back at Draco with a smirk. "Is something wrong, mate?"

"Draco?" Hermione stood up, a mixture of confusion and worry on her face. "What's wrong? Why do you look so angry?"

Draco took a few deep breaths to calm down before straightening up and glaring at his business partner. "Everything is fine."

Blaise continued to smirk. "I simply wanted to drop by and see if you two would like to do a double-date with Ginny and I soon. After the full moon, of course."

Hermione smiled at Blaise before looking at Draco, and her smile fell slightly when she saw the anger still in his eyes. Draco took another deep breath and said slowly, "That would be great. We can plan that soon."

"Draco, what's wrong?" Hermione asked, looking him up and down.

He sighed and rubbed a hand over his face. He glanced over at Blaise, who simply raised the rolled-up newspaper somewhat threateningly. Draco scowled before looking back at Hermione.

"Hermione..." He faltered before looking back again at Blaise.

Blaise shut the door to Hermione's office and she looked between the two of them with worry. "Someone needs to tell me what is going on right now!"

"I forgot my potion last night."

The room fell silent as Hermione leaned back against her desk, putting a hand over her mouth in shock. Draco was glaring down at the floor while Blaise looked slowly between the two of them. After a few moments of silence, Hermione's hand dropped and she crossed her arms across her chest.

"Okay..." She started slowly. "Well, there's nothing we can do to change what's going to happen. So there's really only one thing that can be done now to make sure your other side is controlled."

Draco looked up at her with a confused expression. "What's that?"

She met his eyes and firmly said, "I'm going to be staying with you."

A/N: Blaise would 100% do this. And he would enjoy every second of it. I really like the idea of Ginny and Harry staying friends after separating; considering they were friends for so long in the books before actually getting together, I think they would do just fine with that. Hope you all enjoy! <3
