Description: part two of Heathens. Last chapter Y/N and Tyler meet , now Tyler is worried for her safety in the dangerous, dark, cold prison.

(*☻-☻*)

Y/N has been hanging out in the cafeteria, near the safest, nicest guards. Tyler yet again warned her and told her he heard men talking about her. She tried asking him what they said but he just shrugged it off and wouldn't answer.

She honestly was a bit scared. Not because she was afraid of what they'd do. More of what they said about her that made Tyler so anxious. The question 'what did they say?' won't stop gnawing at her.

"Hey pretty lady." A man says, sitting down at the cafeteria table beside her. His tray slamming onto the table, making a loud clank.

"What do you want?" She snapped, not wanting to be messed with.

"Nothing, you just looked lonely." He replied, giving her a small smile. "Usually you have that dick with you."

"His not a dick." She scrunched her face up.

"Maybe not to you. But that's only because you're a girl. He's just using you. Trust me, I know." He smirked.

"You don't know shit." She growled, but it actually sort of got to her. He doesn't need to know that.

"Let me guess, he's being all nice to you. Giving you advice, protecting you when you need it, and will probably kiss you. If he hasn't already." She furrowed her eyebrows, as he takes a bite of his hamburger.

"H- how would you know?"

"Duh, I'm in prison for trying to 'end' my girlfriend." He said casually. "Basically used her, she got upset. So I tried to end things."

Y/N inwardly cringed at this. He shrugged. She couldn't believe how casual he was about the matter, as if it was normal to kill someone.

"He's not like that."

"Honey, every single man in this place is like that." He rolled his eyes before standing up. "Do you want proof? Go talk to him over there." He pointed to a big guy by the gym. "He knows all the shit. He's seen it."

He got up and walked away.

Y/N took a deep breath and crossed her arms. There's no way she's going over there, Tyler said not to listen to them.

But what if he didn't want her to find out he was using her?

No, he wouldn't do that. She trusts him. I least she thinks.

She can handle herself right? She'll just go over there and ask. If he tries something then she can just fight back. It's not like she hasn't done it before.

She took a deep breath, and stood up. Once she started walking over, the man looked over at her and smirked.

"You're here for that Joseph kid aren't ya?" He asked, stepping closer.

"That man said you had answers." She said confidently. "I want them now." Her posture stood confident.

"Sure, okay. Follow me alright?" He said softly. Almost to the point Y/N felt safe. She wasn't sure if she could trust him, but at this point she wasn't sure if she could trust Tyler either.

She slowly walked with him, and he took her down the halls.

"I've been waiting for you for a while. I can't believe this worked." He mumbled, and he turns to meet Y/N's eyes.

"What?" She asked, but he grabbed her by the shoulders and shoved her to the wall.

"You're always so safe; so secure. You can't hide anymore. I've been waiting for you." He moved his hands from her shoulders to her waist. She whimpered for a seconds before coming to her senses and kicking him straight in the balls. He grunted and bent over.

Y/N took off running down the empty hall. She should've trusted Tyler, she should've trusted him!

I should've trusted him!

She looks back but then when she looks forward again she trips over a bucket. She falls onto the ground, and the water from the bucket gets all over her orange jumpsuit.

"Shit!" She exclaimed, as she tries to sit up but fell.

"Y/N what are you doing? Are you okay?" Tyler ran up to her, and helped her up.

Tears swelled in her eyes and she flung her arms around Tyler.

"I'm sorry." She exaggerated.

"It's okay."

"No it's not, I didn't listen to you. I- I'm so sorry." She buried her head into his chest, and he pressed her closer. A pang shot through his heart, he knew what she meant.

"Don't apologize, sweetheart. Tell me what happened."

"H- he told me you were using me, and told me he could show me. B- but that's not what he meant to show me, Ty." She started crying harder into his chest, and he stroked her hair.

"D-did he do anything?" He asked, squeezing his eyelids shut.

"N-no, But he was close. I kicked him in the nuts." She smiled slightly, and she can tell he was holding in a laugh.

"That's my girl." He kissed her forehead, and started to sway.

She smiled at him calling her 'my girl.'

"I can't wait to get out of here and start a life with you, Ty." She said confidently. She wasn't sure if they were a 'thing' but by the way he called her 'his girl' she wasn't going to second guess it.

Tyler's small smile faded.

He's sentenced for life.

"When do you get out?" He asked her after a moment.

"It's supposed to be a month, and I've been in here for a week. How about you?"

He paused to think about it.

"As soon as you get out I'll be by your side." He smiled slightly thinking about it.

If he had to break out, he'd break out.

(*☻-☻*)

Might do the break out someday, but not a part 3 right now.

Lol I sorta went on a posting spree. Only because I have so much written. I've had these short stories locked away dm never posted. I have 11 right now and I write when I feel alone and lost, so I guess that gives you an idea of how much I feel alone and lost. Whoops.

Still haven't posted all of them, but I'm going to wait till tomorrow to post the rest. Maybe keep a few to myself so I don't get overwhelmed with posting.

If you read so far, thank you. You are amazin ❤️
