Warning: VERY VERY SAD! Saddest thing I've ever written. I even cried myself. Brace yourself. Also cussing.

When everyone you thought you knew
Deserts your fight, I'll go with you
Tyler is in the hospital. His voice was hoarse, and soon he went to the doctors.
Cancer.
Fucking lung cancer.
You're facin' down a dark hall
I'll grab my light
You took a deep breath, trying to keep your breathing level. It wasn't the end of the world. It wasn't like he was dead.
Yet. You thought, but soon shook your head as the tears started to come like a meteor hitting the earth.
You covered your face as much as you could with your arms. Practically holding your head in your arms as you let out a sob.
And go with you, I'll go with you
I'll go with you, I'll go with you
Tyler looked up at the dull ceiling of the hospital. He couldn't get his mind off of you. He knew you weren't handling this well. Right when they told him his first concern was how you would feel. He didn't care about himself, but he did care about you.
You were now his life. His own life didn't seem to matter anymore.
I'll go with you, I'll go with you
I'll go with you, I'll go with you
"How's it going?" You asked, putting on the best smile that you could muster. You hated seeing Tyler in a hospital bed looking weak. It made you want to take him and just cure him somehow, but you knew that wasn't possible. There was nothing you could do, and it frustrated you.
"Hey, beautiful." He raspy voice said, a small smile took his face for the first time that day. He didn't bother to lift his head, if he was honest with himself: he was to weak to even try.
The smile soon left your face, as you looked down, biting your lip. You made your way to the side of his bed.
Tyler's eyebrows furrowed, and he grabbed your hand. "Everything okay?"
You shut your eyes closed tightly to contain your tears but one escaped and you let out a small sob. "I'm scared, Tyler."
Surrounded and up against a wall
I'll shred 'em all and go with you
Tyler sighed, lifting your chin slowly to look at him. "Don't be scared." He whispered, his eyes were tired. He was tired. He hated everything about this place. And if it wasn't for you, he'd be okay leaving. He'd be okay. Even though his mind was infested with dark painful thoughts, he still gave her a smile. He stared at her for a moment before letting out a huff of satisfaction. "I can't wait to be home and, like, cuddling you and loving you."
You began to giggle at his sudden thought, and rubbed your thumb over the back of his hand. "Yeah? You promise?"
"Promise what? Promise I'll be there? Hell, yes." He replied quite loudly, chuckling. You rolled your eyes at his goofiness, before planting a kiss on his forehead.
"I'm holding you to that, Ty." You said quietly, looking into his dark chocolate eyes. Another frown took your face.
But Tyler wouldn't have that. "You missed." He whispered, and your face became confused. "My lips. You missed my lips." He added, smirking, and you burst out laughing, your head flying back.
Once your laughs were calmed down you bent down and kissed his lips. When you pulled away Tyler's eyes were closed and he licked his lips, biting down on his bottom lip.
When choices end, you must defend
I'll grab my bat
He opened his eyes giving you a small smile. "You know if I wasn't hooked up on all this garbage I would tackle you and kiss every inch of your face." You smiled and looked down blushing. He took that as a sign to continue his thought. "I wish I could kiss every inch of your beautiful body."
You laughed again, a blush taking your face which made him also burst into laughter. His laughter soon became coughing and he covered his mouth, bending over.
You quickly stood up and rubbed his back. Mumbling comforting things to him.
And go with you, I'll go with you
I'll go with you, I'll go with you, yeah
"Ma'am? It's time for you to go." The nurse called, making both You and Tyler look up.
You let out a sigh but turned to Tyler. "I'll see you tomorrow okay?" You gave him a smile, and he returned it.
Once you began to walk away he grabbed ahold of your hand and squeezed it. "I love you."
"I love you too, Tyler." You smiled, and Tyler tightened his grip as much as he could. Being weak it wasn't that tight.
"One more kiss?" He asked, his eyebrows rounded as if he was worried. You sighed and pressed a kiss to his lips. He grabbed your face and deepened the kiss, kissing you like there was no tomorrow.
You pulled away from his lips, only enough to look at his face. He gave you a small smile as if he was happy but his eyes were a whole different story. They were filled with pain, and they gave you a feeling as if he knew something you didn't. You never liked that face he had. He mostly had it when he had a surprise for you, it always annoyed you so much. But not this time, this time he knew something that pained him. He felt something that pained him and you didn't know what it was.
You opened your mouth to speak your mind but the nurse interrupted you. "Ma'am, please." You stepped back from Tyler, his eyes never leaving yours.
You let out a stressed sigh, before heading for the door.
"I love you so so much, Y/N." He called as you turned the corner. You wiped a tear from your eye.
I'll see him tomorrow. There's no need to worry.
Stay with me, no, you don't need to run
Stay with me, my blood, you don't need to run
You jolted awake, letting out a small sigh. You turned to the nightstand to see your phone vibrating crazily.
Incoming call Ty's Hospital
Your heart began to beat quickly as you answered it.
"Ma'am, can you hear me?"
"Is he okay?" You urgently asked, skipping the small talk or the hellos.
"I'm so sorry..." the nurse began but you blocked her out. You felt like a 50,000 pound weight was glued to your chest and shoulders, and your whole body felt like is was about to give up right then and there. It felt like your whole reason to live was gone. I mean, it basically was. He was gone.
Stay with me, no, you don't need to run
Stay with me, my blood, you don't need to run
You saw your vision blur from tears, and you held your breath to stop from sobbing. You tried to let your breath out slowly, taking yourself out of the covers and standing up. You didn't know what to do with your life anymore, it all felt so empty. It's like you could feel him gone.
He's gone. And he can't come back.
He can't come home and cuddle you, and love you. He can't kiss every inch of your beautiful body like he promised.
A sob finally escaped your lungs as you remembered the last time you saw him. The knowing look in his eye.
He knew.
He fucking knew!
And he was okay with it.
If you find yourself in a lion's den
I'll jump right in and pull my pin
"Um... I didn't actually want to do this, because I-" you took a deep breath, trying not to look at all the sad faces in the chairs in front of you. "I just... I didn't want this to be real." You bit your lip, your vision becoming blurry. "Tyler used to um... he used to tell me how when he was little he was afraid of not being remembered. He was afraid to be another face that died and was forgotten." You took a deep shaky breath, rubbing your palm with your thumb. "Well, I'm here to tell you, Tyler," you looked up at the ceiling as if he was there. "that there are a lot more people mourning your death than the people in this room."
You let out a hard sob, and you shook your head, slowly walking back to your seat.
You don't need to run
You don't need to run
You don't need to run
You don't need to run
You felt strong arms wrap around your torso, and soft kisses on your cheek and neck. "I promised you." He whispered in a sing song voice, in your ear, playfully. He nibbled your ear making you giggle and lift your shoulders from the chill going down your spine.
You smiled keeping your eyes closed. You let out a small sigh. "I missed you."
He laid his head down, his nose buried into your hair: spooning you. "I miss you too." You could hear him take a deep breath, breathing in your scent. "I'm okay though, you know that?"
"I know. We're fine just like this. Just stay with me." You rubbed his arm, which was wrapped around your body, letting out a content breath. "Will you kiss me some more?" You whispered, and you felt him pick himself up and kiss down your cheek to your neck.
"Don't open your eyes, okay?" He mumbled against your neck, and you hummed an okay. You didn't know why, but you didn't care.
You felt his cold hand cup your cheek, bringing you closer to him so he could kiss your neck without problem. "Mmh, your hands are cold." The smile didn't leave your face, as you reached your warm hands up to his cold hand on your cheek to maybe warm them.
He lifted his lips from your skin, only to whisper in your ear. "I love you so so much,
Y/N. Don't forget it." He kissed your neck a few more times before whispering in your ear again. "I'll stay with you in your heart forever. I'll never leave."
His hand suddenly left your cheek, and the warm bed now became colder; emptier.
You opened your eyes and turned your face to see why he stopped. What you found was Tyler's old worn pillow that you couldn't get yourself to get rid of.
You were alone.
You were truly alone.
Stay with me, no, you don't need to run
Stay with me, my blood
