Knock knock

Y/n, being a light sleeper, jolted her head up. Her hair was messed up, and she felt a little bit of drool on her face.

Knock knock

She began to freak out, as she shuffled herself across the bed to look at Tyler, peacefully sleeping.

"Tyler!" She whisper-yelled, trying to get his attention. Tyler moaned, as he rolled over on his side. "Tyler!"

She grabbed a pillow from her bed and flung it on top of his head, making him jolt up.

"What do you want?" He muttered annoyingly.

"They are at the door, get your ass up here!" She whisper-shouted once again.

Knock knock "hello? You guys in there? We brought breakfast."

Tyler then abruptly sat up, jumping into the blankets and wrapping his arms around y/n.

She smacked his arm by instinct, but let him spoon her. She tensed her body from the touch of his body close to hers.

"Relax!" He whisper-shouted, getting himself comfortable. "Come in!"

"Come in!" Y/n echoed, and the door swung open, revealing Kelly with a tray of cinnamon rolls, and a small adorable pout on her face at the sight.

"Aw, you guys are adorable. I brought you breakfast in bed." Kelly squealed, and y/n felt Tyler let out a long breath hot on her neck. She tried to contain her smile.

"Thank you, mrs. Joseph." Y/n scooted out from Tyler's warm, comfortable, arms to grab the plate of cinnamon rolls.

"Oh, y/n, once you guys are finished you should come with Maddy and I to town! We would love to get to know you better." Kelly offered, and Tyler shook his head.

"I don't think that's necessary mom." Tyler looked down and fiddled with the sheets through his fingers.

"Don't be silly Tyler, of course it's necessary! I want to know my potential daughter-in-law." Kelly smiled.

Both Tyler and y/n's face became hot. Kelly took that as a cue to leave them be, and exited the room.

Y/n sat back down on the bed, and Tyler leaned over and rubbed his face in his hands.

"This was a bad idea." Tyler stressed.

Y/n couldn't fight with him there.

Tyler waited for y/n to maybe disagree on his statement but when she didn't he felt his heart sink into the pits of hell. "Oh god... oh god, what if they find out? Oh my god, and what if my mom like... what if she..." Tyler thought for a moment before groaning loudly. "What if she dies!" He practically yelled, covering his face in his hands.

Y/n softly rubbed his back comfortingly. "I'm sure she won't die Tyler. She won't find out. I told you I'll play this out until New Years and then in a few months you can tell them we broke up." She assured him, rubbing circles on his back while practically massaging his shoulders with her other hand.

Tyler sighed contently with the embrace she was giving, to which y/n quickly pulled away, clasping her hands together.

It went silent, none of them daring to look up at one another. That's when y/n slipped out of the bed, covering herself with one of the robes.

"I should... I should probably go with them to town. Y'know, we don't want to raise suspicion." She lied, and she didn't wait for an answer as she left for the bathroom to get changed.

"Today's gonna be a good day!" Maddy exclaimed excitedly, linking one arm with y/n's and the other with her mom's.

Y/n could tell she loved girl get-togethers. I mean, she couldn't complain, she did too.

They skipped across the sidewalk to a diner, where Maddy insisted they went to.

Y/n felt sort of nervous. She always felt nervous eating in front of people, because normally when she did she'd get judging faces from the other models. She most likely ate small portions as well, to keep her weight down for her reputation and job.

"3 lattes, and a appetizer of..." Kelly he landed at both of the girls, and nodded at a look Maddy was giving her. Y/n guessed it was some family mind-language thing. She didn't know. "cinnamon toast would be fine." Kelly ordered, and the waiter nodded, sending a glance towards y/n with a small smirk on his face and a flirty look in his eyes.

She suddenly felt insecure and ducked her head down low.

"Oh my god, y/n, he was checking you out." Maddy nudged her arm, and y/n let a small smile take her face.

"He was not." She argued, a small tint of blush finding its way on her cheeks. Kelly let out a giggle at the girls.

The man came back with their lattes and gave y/n a playful smile showing his straight teeth, but he quickly twisted around and entered the kitchen. "You know, even though you're with Tyler it's okay to be flattered when someone shows interest." Maddy added, stirring her latte. "Just don't act on it or I'll beat you up"

Y/n felt a sinking feeling in her stomach. How will she react when she finds out — or if she find out — they are faking? Oh god. She could already see the ambulance lights in the distance.

Kelly touched y/n's forearm, sending her a smile. "She's only teasing, girl."

Maddy began to giggle lightly, and y/n forced herself to joined in.

"Your cinnamon toast." The man said, "I hope you enjoy your meal."

He gave y/n a few more flirtatious glances, but didn't act on them — he just went back into the kitchen.

Y/n watched as the other girls grabbed their pick of cinnamon toast, watching them quietly munch on their food.

"Are you going to eat?" Maddy asked.

"I-I'm not that hungry." She stuttered, looking down and playing with her fingers.

Maddy just nodded, and y/n looked up enough to find a knowing glance from Kelly. Was she on to her? I mean, it wasn't hard to tell she was skinnier than most. She was a model though, it was her job to keep her weight at the highest 112.

She hasn't weighed herself in a while but she felt at least 115. That in itself made her sick.

Y/n was afraid Kelly would bring it up, but as she silently waited for the words "why are you so skinny?" Or "you should eat something. you look like a skeleton." Come from her mouth, they never came. And she must say, she was quite relieved.

Tyler quickly made his way through the court, the ball dribbling closely underneath him. He kept his eyes glued to the ball, but from the corner of his eye he could see Zack charging after him on his left and Jay blocking the basket on his right.

Tyler smirked, as a tactic popped into his head. Zack made his approach for the ball, reaching his hand to grab it, but Tyler swiftly and smoothly twisted his body the opposite way, letting go of the ball with his left and catching it with his right. He began to run for the basket, Zack quick on his heels.

Although Jay was quick about jumping up to block the basket, Tyler jumped up quicker, dunking it successfully into the basket, bringing himself to crash down on top of Jay.

He rolled over onto his back, letting out a small grunt at the impact. Although he fell on Jay, Jay was able to keep his balance, though Tyler fell onto the pavement.

He let out small quickened breaths from exhaustion, as Jay reached his hand to help him up.

"You are still better than both of us. I don't get it." Jay pouted, and Tyler only smiled in return.

"He is not." Zack muttered, blatantly annoyed.

That's when a strong, confident, woman's voice startled them out of their conversation. "Tyler."

Tyler twisted his head around to find y/n leaning herself on the back door.

"Yes, my lovely?" He said, trying his hardest to keep a straight face. He found it quite funny to call her that, and it kind of made him all fluttery inside.

"Can we talk?" She asked, and he nodded his head.

"Of course, my dime-piece." Tyler almost made it through without cracking up at the last word, but failed. He doubled over slapping his knee in laughter. Zack and jay exchanged questioning looks. He wiped his eyes, and looked up to see y/n's face gravely serious. He immediately dropped his smile, and made his way over to her.

"What happened?" He asked, but y/n immediately began to walk for the woods, ushering him to follow.

Once they were both deep in the forest y/n turned on her heel, her eyes were ferocious.

"Listen, Tyler, I don't want to play your game anymore. I can't keep doing this. We're hurting your family, and..." she suddenly became lost at words so she said the first they that popped into her mind. "And we might kill your mother, do you get that?"

Tyler put his hands on her shoulders, to which she shooed away but he persisted. "Hey, calm down. It's going to be okay. They won't find out."

"How do you know that!?" She shouted, knowing very well they were far enough away from the house.

"Because you told me the same thing, remember!?" He matched her tone, but it was more calmer. "It's going to be okay! we just can't freak out about this or, you're right, they will find out."

Y/n took a deep breath letting it out slowly. She then reached in her pocket and slowly placed something into Tyler's hand. Her soft delicate touch brought shivers down Tyler's spine, but he would never admit that.

He squinted his eyes at the small necklace she placed in his hand. His eyes grew wide once he realized who's it was. He was about to tell her but y/n beat him to it.

"It was your grandmas, Tyler. Your freaking grandma. Your mother gave that to me. She told me that she had a good feeling about our relationship." Y/n began to breath faster but kept her voice level. "Tyler, we're lying to her and she believes every word."

Tyler silently stared at the necklace in the palm of his hand. He didn't know what to say. He was at loss of words, and it wasn't in a good way.

"I mean... it'll be okay, I will give it back to her next Christmas and tell her you told me to give it back!" He spoke his mind, but y/n only sighed.

"I can't do this to your mother, Tyler! I can't do this to your family! I'm leaving now before it gets any worse." And that's when she turned around and began to walk deeper in the woods, deciding she wasn't ready to go back to the house just yet and just needed air.

"Y/n, no wait!" Tyler tried, but she lifted her hand for him to leave her be. "Wait, but you don't understand-"

Tyler was cut off by a loud crackle of leaves and swoop sound coming from one of the trees beside y/n.

Y/n swiftly turned her head, but didn't have enough time to react as she was swooped off the ground into a large animal-trap net. She screamed loudly, her heart pounding out of her chest.

"I told you to stop!" Tyler scolded, making his way to the net.

"I- I know please get me down!" She said, her eyes brimming with tears. Tyler rolled his eyes, and smirked slightly.

"You have to promise to stay, and then I'll let you down." He said, making y/n freeze up and hesitate. She let out a small sob, gripping onto the net.

"P-please Tyler just let me go."

"No. Promise you'll stay." He deadpanned, not moving an inch. She moved slightly in the net making it jolt around and she let out another scream.

"Okay, okay! Okay I promise I'll stay! Tyler please!" She begged, her face now completely wet with tears.

Tyler let out a content sigh, before digging around in his pocket.

He grabbed his knife and began to walk away.

Y/n watched him in confusion. "W-where are you going?" She asked, but soon realized what was to come. Tyler reached his hand up and grabbed the rope supporting the net that hung on the tree. "Wait, Tyler-"

He quickly cut the rope, making her let out a loud shriek, followed by a grunt from hitting the ground.

Tyler quickly made his way over and lifted the ropes for

y/n to climb out.

She stared blankly at him. He tried to contain a laugh at her appearance. Dirt all over her face, and leaves, twigs, and she was convinced there were bugs, all over her.

"Now, that wasn't so bad was it?" Tyler teased, and all he got in return was a snotty, deadly, glare, and a middle finger.

She trembled uncontrollably, and Tyler wrapped his arm around her shoulders, ignoring her response, and rubbing his hands onto her shoulders.

"I told you to stop." He repeated.

"Shut up." She mumbled, and he chuckled as they began to make their way back to the house.
