Tyler quickly hustled down the halls, trying his best to keep all the papers he had crammed in his hands together. He twisted his body through a few people walking past, dodging them to keep his pace.
"Y/n! Wait! You can't leave without me!" Tyler called after the elegant woman ahead of him, who was quickly traveling to her limbo she appointed herself.
Tyler was Y/n's personal photographer, and he knew all of her appointments, calls, meetings, and interviews. He was supposed to be with her all times. You see, y/n was a well known model, and models were known to be demanding and crude. It wasn't really their fault, it was part of their job. They probably wouldn't have made it in the modeling business if they weren't.
Y/n impatiently waited for the driver to open her door. She stepped inside, setting her small handbag onto the seat next to her. "Wait!" Tyler shouted loud enough for the driver to hesitate to close the door.
Y/n rolled her eyes and scoffed. She took matters in her own hands and closed the door for herself.
Before the driver could even get into his own seat, Tyler was sliding into the seat next to her hurriedly. He huffed out a breath, as he tried to calm down his exhaustion.
Y/n just rolled her eyes and looked out of her car window.
"Where are we going?" The driver asked, looking into the rear view mirror.
Tyler leaned forward, pressing the button on the glass that allowed communication. "Back to the office." Tyler replied, and he saw the driver nod.
"You got it, Tyler." The driver nodded.
Tyler smiled. "Thanks, Mark." Mark chuckled, but it couldn't be heard without him pressing his communication button.
Tyler then turned his attention to the snotty model, who was staring out the window. He gave her an annoying look, to which she couldn't see due to her refusal to look at him. "You can't just leave me like that."
"It's not my fault you weren't with me when I decided to leave."
"I told you I was going to the bathroom." Tyler leaned back in his seat, massaging his head with his fingers because the headache forming from the stress she caused him.
"Not my fault." She deadpanned, shrugging her shoulders. She stole a glance at him, smirking slightly at his annoyance.
Tyler huffed, rubbing his face with his hands.

Y/n took off into the building without warning, making Tyler struggle to keep up due to the fact he had to gather all the papers that y/n 'accidentally' dropped on the floor of the limbo.
"Y/n, wait! Stop! We need to stop in the-" Tyler was interrupted by the boss of the building yelling:
"Y/n." He called, and y/n stopped in her tracks turning on her heel to face a Tyler, who was doing all he could to keep his papers from falling all over the floor again, and her father with a scolding look on his face.
She frowned, slowly beginning to walk towards his office. Tyler followed close behind her, leaving a trail of papers that he promised himself he would go back for later.
They both sat in the chairs facing Mr. y/l/n who had a resting scowl on his face.
"Tyler has been telling me you have been leaving him behind. Is this true?" He asked calmly, to which she shook her head.
"No, he just won't keep up." She insulted, turning to face Tyler. Tyler stuck his tongue out at her as if he was a 10 years old to which she scoffed and crossed her arms.
"Enough!" Her father demanded. "I have told you this so many times, and I will say it again: when you are doing your job he must not leave your side."
Y/n looked down at her lap, suddenly interested in the soft silk skirt she had on. She never liked be scolded by her father, but that didn't stop it from happening a lot.
Tyler almost felt bad for her, but from the hell she put him through, she also sort of deserved it.
Tyler felt a vibrate from his pants, and then a loud ringtone followed. He panicked from the loud noise, and quickly pulled his phone out of his pocket.
Incoming call MOM
Tyler sighed. "Sorry, I have to take this." He excused himself, before walking out of the office.
He hadn't talked to his mom since last Christmas, which happened to be 2 weeks away. Not that they didn't want to talk, but it was hard due to the fact they lived in Michigan, and he lived in LA. He only ever saw his family on Christmas and thanksgiving, which he missed this year due to his annoying job of 'y/n's thanksgiving pictures'. To save the blow of being the 'workaholic' in the family he just told them he is spending time with his girlfriend's family for thanksgiving. He never thought so far ahead to the fact they'd want to meet her.
"Hello?"
"Hey, honey! Just checking to see if you can make it to the Christmas party on..." she paused . "December 22nd through new year?"
Tyler thought for a moment before remembering his calendar said he had a break on Christmas. They already pre-shot most of y/n's 'christmasy' outfits.
"Oh, yeah, mom! I'll be there this time." Tyler smiled, and she heard his mom squeal with happiness.
"Does that mean we'll finally be able to meet your girlfriend?" She asked excitedly.
Tyler froze in place, trying to figure out an excuse that could actually lay out this time. That's when he heard the clicks of heels approach him and he turned to see y/n waiting impatiently for him.
"Uh..." he stammered.
"Are we going to go?" Y/n irritatingly tapped her foot and Tyler heard a squeal from his mom.
"Is that her? Oh, tell her we say hi and can't wait to meet her!" Tyler's eyes widened.
"Wha- Wait- no- mom!" Tyler stuttered, but he was cut off.
"Oh, darling, I'd love to talk but I need to go." She said before saying bye and hanging up.
Tyler let out a sigh of disbelief, as he ran a hand through his hair.
"What is it?" Y/n questioned nervously. "Was that a meeting being cancelled or something?"
Tyler ignored her, shaking his head. He sloppily made his way into his empty office. He leaned himself onto the desk, trying to comprehend what just happened. How is he going to tell his excited mother that he was actually lying to her all these months?
"Tyler!" Y/n waved her hand in front of his face. "Stop it, you're scaring me." She demanded.
He looked up, staring her up in down. Could she work as my 'girlfriend'? Maybe she'll act like my girlfriend...
"My eyes aren't up here, douche." She scoffed, crossing her arms over her chest.
He shook his head. There is no way she'd agree to that. Well, it's worth a try right?
Tyler knelt down on one knee, searching hid pocket for something useful. He held out a piece of lint, and looked up at y/n.
"Y/n y/l/n... will you be my girlfriend." He asked, and he felt a sharp pain across his face as her hand came in contact with it.
"How dare you." She growled, and her face became red with embarrassment and anger. Tyler only slightly chuckled as he rubbed his face.
"Listen, I need your help."
"After what you just pulled? No way!" She crossed her arms.
"I need you to act like my girlfriend for my family back in Michigan."
Y/n's mouth fell open, before closing it and furrowing her eyebrows thinking hard on his request. "Why the hell would I do that?"
Tyler thought for a moment before an convenient smirk covered his face. "Because it's a very good opportunity for me to take pictures of you. Your father would love if I took you to Michigan known as one the most beautiful landscape states." He threatened.
(I actually have no idea.)
"You wouldn't dare." Her voice became low, and it only enticed Tyler even more.
"Mr. y/l/n!" He called as he entered his office. Y/n quick on his heels. Her father looked up, taking off his glasses. "I have the most wonderful idea!"

Tyler took off running to y/n and his seats for the window seat. He slightly pushed y/n out of the way as he sat down, patting the seat next to him.
"I will not sit down until you give me the window seat." She declared stubbornly.
Tyler smirked, leaning himself further into his chair. Y/n rolled her eyes as someone asked her politely to sit down.
She reluctantly sat down beside Tyler.
"So, sweetie, when the flight attendant asks what I want tell them water." He smiled cheekily, and y/n subtly stomped on his foot making him yelp but laugh afterwards.
He liked the sudden change of pace. The tables had turned and he was now basically her boss. Well, not exactly but she had no where to go but with him. It was an entirely different state, and if she got lost she'd be screwed. She was forced to stay by his side. And that made her stubborn-self livid.
Tyler plugged his headphones in and leaned back into his chair.
He must've dozed off because the next thing he remembered is the same familiar pain of Y/n's heel coming contact with his foot. He jumped up to see the plane stopped.
He sighed, and picked himself up. He took his suitcase down from the top, not even bothering to looking at y/n's.
"Don't forget your luggage." Tyler deadpanned as he passed y/n and made his way towards the exit of the plane.
Y/n scoffed, and fought her suitcase down. When she was at the exit Tyler was already off the plane, spreading his arms and stretching.
"Over here! Ty! Here!" Someone called from the crowd of people. Tyler saw a sign of 'Tyler Joseph & girlfriend' being waved around. A smile grew on his face as he made his way over there.
Y/n grunted as she set her suitcase down by her side, finally being able to use the wheels. She rushed over to Tyler, a grumpy scowl on her face at how disrespectful Tyler was being.
"Oh, honey!" Tyler's mom, Kelly, hugged him and kissed his cheek.
"Hey, mom. This is my somewhat cute girlfriend, y/n." He said, throwing an arm around her.
Y/n squirmed underneath him, struggling out of his grip. Tyler just smirked smugly.
"Hello, sweetheart!" Kelly hugged her, which made y/n tense. She wasn't used to hugs.
Kelly noticed this and quickly released.
"Hi! I'm sorry I'm a little sick due to the plane flight." She lied, putting on a fake smile that she was so good at masking.
"Aw, yeah, my poor little sunshine threw up in her soup that she got on the plane." He fibbed, pulling y/n into his chest making her cringe.
"I did not!" She argued. He messed up her hair the slightest bit, making her huff and begin to try and fix it neatly.
"Aw, it's okay you don't have to be modest here." He smiled.
Kelly just nodded cluelessly. "Well, lets get you back so you can see the family."
Tyler and y/n stopped their undercover bickering and made their way to his mother's car.

"Tyler! Welcome home!" Jay, Tyler's brother, said, giving Tyler a bone crushing hug.
There were people everywhere in their house, making y/n a little bit uncomfortable.
Tyler dragged y/n along, talking, and laughing with his friends he had missed since moving to LA.
That is until y/n forced him into the closet. "Why are there so many people?" She whispered-yelled. Tyler regained his posture, and shook his head.
"My parents know a lot of people. You just have to deal with it." He replied simply, and y/n looked down fiddling with her fingers. Tyler noticed this and furrowed his eyebrows. "What?"
She shifted her feet. "It's just... I get claustrophobic easily..." she confessed, making Tyler sarcastically scoff.
"Oh, well, then let's get you out of this small closet." He said, pushing her outside of the closet.
"There you two are! Come in the living room everyone wants to know how you met." Kelly exaggerated, guiding both of them into the living room.
They were both mumbling: "we rather not." And "no, it's a long story."
But the more they tried to fight, the more they insisted on hearing the story.
Tyler shifted his feet. "Well, we work together..." Tyler began slowly trying to figure out how to tell this.
"A- and one day out of work we met at the park. Totally didn't know each other would be there, but it was late at night. There were those fairy lights â y'know the ones you see in romantic movies? â and we so happened to bump into each other. He told me, 'c- could I take a picture of you? This lighting is to good to give up.' So of course being the nice lady I was I let him take a few picture of me." Y/n said, closing her eyes and imagining it.
Tyler watched her with wide eyes. Man, she had this figured out didn't she?
"And the rest is history." She said opening her eyes. Everyone began to clap and laugh at their story. A wave of realization hit her as she became as red as a tomato.
When she glanced at Tyler who was looking at her funny. His eyes full of admiration, and a small smirk. As if... he liked her? No way, he hated her. She was annoying. He instantly looked away, sticking his hands in his pockets.
"That's a beautiful story!" Tyler's grandma clapped, and y/n smiled slightly at the attention.
"Kiss her! Kiss her! Kiss her!" Maddy, Tyler's younger sister, began to chant. Soon Jay and MZack, Tyler's other siblings, joined along.
Tyler shook his head. Y/n just scoffed and looked down.
"No way. We only do that in private." Tyler covered, but Maddy wasn't having it.
"No! Kiss her! I wanna see!"
Tyler reluctantly turned to y/n, his eyebrows raised as some sort of permission. She just gave him a look of disgust. It was so faint no one could see, but he could tell it was there.
He sighed and stepped closer, hesitantly putting his hands awkwardly on her cheeks.
She just stood there, tensing up.
"I did not sign up for this." She mouthed, but was interrupted by Tyler pecking her lips and pulling away quickly.
Y/n stared at him with shock - her face beginning to get red.
"No! Come on kiss her like you mean it Tyler!" Zack called, and there was a choir of 'yeah's followed.oh, he's getting it later. Tyler thought.
They both sighed, and looked back at each other. Tyler leaned in, reluctantly kissing her on the lips. He decided to stay there for a moment, moving his lips with hers to show that he indeed was kissing her.
He wasn't going to lie: she did kiss very well. She tasted like mint gum, which was his favorite gum.
He closed his eyes, stepping closer to her. And her lips were so soft he could kiss her for hours.
Y/n absentmindedly wrapped her arms around him, pulling him closer to which he deepened the kiss, wrapping his arms around her as well.
"Ooooo!" Everyone cheered, and that's when y/n pushed him off of her and regained her posture.
Tyler looked at her for a whole 2 seconds before letting out a breath. He then realized the crowd of his family watching him and he rubbed the back of his neck.
Y/n cleared her throat. "wheres the bathroom, ms. Joseph?
Tyler lifted his hand about to answer but she flung her hand up in front of his face, to stop him. "I asked your mother." And Tyler quickly twisted himself around and acted as though he was doing something completely different. Now this was going to be awkward.

"This is where you'll be staying!" Kelly cheered, swinging the door open to a guest bedroom which seemed to only have one bed. Y/n felt a flutter in her stomach, but she quickly pushed it to the back of her mind.
"Okay, yes, and where is Tyler staying?" She asked politely, dropping her bag on the rug by the bed.
Kelly began to giggle. "Oh, we saw how you kids kissed. It's alright, you don't have to hide from us." She winked, and Tyler and y/n both got red in the face.
Was the kiss really that bad? Y/n guessed she was just a good actress to be able to portray feelings that most definitely didn't exist.
"Ahh, yes. We- we love cuddling." Tyler scrunched up his nose, but put on a smile to hide it.
"Yeah, cuddling." Y/n echoed awkwardly, and his mother only nodded.
"Well, goodnight love birds. I'm so happy you're able to stay." She smiled and twisted around shutting the door.
Tyler and y/n immediately broke character, sighing with relief.
"I'm getting the bed." Y/n quickly claimed. Tyler didn't protest - he was already grabbing a pillow from the bed and plopping it on the floor.
Once they were all settled, and they were in their comfy spots, they both stared up at the ceiling.
Tyler began to think of the story y/n told of 'how they met'. She really had it all planned out... it was kind of odd.
"You really had a story all figured out didn't you?" Tyler broke the silence.
"Well, I've had a lot of time to think about how my first date will be like." She replied.
"You've never been on a date?" Tyler was shocked. She was an attractive woman, not the kindest but attractive.
Y/n didn't answer and it went silent again. Tyler sighed.
"Thank you for doing this for me." Tyler spoke softly.
It took y/n a few seconds to reply. "Well, I kind of had no choice." She responded, letting a small giggle escape her lips. She usually was more calm and herself at night.
"Well, you're doing good so far. Maybe a little less sarcasm and hatred would be nice." He teased.
"What do you mean? I'm being nice." She rolled her eyes.
"Yes, nicer than usual. Hmm?" He said, biting his lip in thought.
"Your family is very persistent." She stated, and Tyler let out a soft chuckle.
"Sadly, yes. I'm sorry about that." He inhaled deeply.
"It's okay. I didn't mind it." Y/n closed her eyes, finally feeling sleepy enough to drift off.
However, Tyler's heart rate sped up at her words. Did she mean she didn't mind the kiss? Was she thinking the same way he was? Did she enjoy it?
Did you enjoy it? Tyler thought long and hard about asking her. It was to the pony that he couldn't help but ask her. Just to stop his nagging brain.
"Did you enjoy it?" He questioned curiously. She didn't answer, all he could hear was her sheets ruffling as she turned herself sideways.
She was asleep.
