"Leave my daughter alone Uncle Eli." I frowned with an eye roll watching as my father's Third in Command sat down on the couch, poking my daughter in her cheeks with his index finger while she slept.
Eli turned his head, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Am I not allowed to mess with my Alpha's first grandbaby?"
Words were just forming in my mouth when my father unexpectedly interrupted. "No." He stated as he glared at his Third in Command who only chuckled.
Eli stood up shaking his head after he purposely poked my daughter's cheek one more time before leaving her to sleep. "You're no fun." Eli whined as my father scowled.
Uncle Eli always managed to get away with his childish behaviour with my dad. Within a minute he began teasing my father as he quickly stood in front of him, grabbing his face before poking him on the cheeks and darting off as my dad stalked after him growling.
I giggled watching as my father caught up to him, as Eli tried to dodge his Alpha, his arms lifting up with surrender, a playful pout on his lips.
Maverick was sitting down on the couch, now occupying Eli's seat as he carefully held onto the Moses Basket that laid safely on the couch.
Moving around to sit on the seat next to Maverick, I smiled pulling him close to me as we both admired my daughter, his back against me.
After a few minutes, his head leaned up forcing mine to look down in his direction, pulling back slightly so I could see Maverick's full face.
I raised my eyebrow at him, waiting for his question.
"Can I hold her, I promise not to drop her?" He whispered hopefully, as he waited impatiently for my answer as his eyes never swayed from mine.
Moving round to place Maverick back against the back of the couch, his legs now stretching and in a safer position. I carefully picked her up, placing her into his arms, showing Maverick how to hold her securely as she gently wiggled in his arms making him grin as he held onto her tightly yet with as much care as possible.
"Be careful of her head, be very gentle." I commanded as I sat next to him once again, being cautious and alert.
Within the hour, everyone had arrived and I found myself still sitting on the couch as Ava and Pierce joined us. My siblings racing around the house as my mom helped Lena in the kitchen.
Pierce, Ava and I were discussing their pack when Blaine and Benjamin appeared.
"Stop hogging her," Blaine laughed as he went to grab his daughter from Maverick who whined and frowned at the movement. "You see her all the time." Blaine said before placing her into Benjamin's arms, who seemed surprised but the look quickly faded as he began rocking her gently.
"She's so beautiful." Ava complimented with a huge smile as she looked up at Benjamin who nodded in reply with a grin of his own.
We all laughed except for Blaine who huffed when Maverick began nodding his head frantically.
"Don't forget we still have that option Kenny." Blaine said which I frowned to confused until I remembered his words from the other day as I shook my head amused and turned to Ava and Pierce who both sported confused frowns.
"It's nothing." I smiled, waving it off while Blaine smirked.
Pierce nodded and shrugged his shoulder, changing the subject. "So, what was that thing you wanted to discuss with me or was it supposed to be private and away from listening ears?"
"Well it wouldn't be a secret now would it," Blaine stated frowning as Pierce smirked. "Not when you always open your big mouth."
Blaine's words made Pierce chuckle and he shrugged again.
"But no," Blaine confirmed. "I wanted to discuss the potential of our packs merging once Maverick is prepared to take over as Alpha since we won't be able to past down my title, we'd like to past it to Maverick and our daughter."
Blaine and I had both discussed this, we wanted to pass the pack down to our daughter and her mate. With Maverick already the heir for Pierce's territory once he turns eighteen, it made sense to discuss the idea with Pierce.
Both Pierce and Ava looked taken back, not prepared for our suggestion as Ava's mouth opened shocked. "Really?" She questioned, her eyes lighting up in both shock and surprise.
"We wouldn't want to give it to anyone else but them."
"I think it's a great idea merging both packs and definitely something we should discuss." He nodded in thought and then laughed looking towards me. "Doe's Gabriel know, he's going to hate that idea since they'll be over taking him with his title of having the biggest pack and territory in America."
I nodded with a grin. "He knows, he was just glad it was his granddaughter who would be taking that title from him."
"If we do decide to merge our packs, we will need to overtake the unclaimed territory that separates our borders. I planned on taking as much as possible but not to your boundary line, but if it goes ahead we could always share a border until they turn eighteen. It will stop an issue arising when they're older."
Blaine had surprised me when he suggested the idea to me the other night but I understood his concern. With Maverick being an Alpha and our daughter's mate, it made sense to hand them our titles.
"I agree Blaine." Pierce nodded until he started laughing again causing everyone to stare at him questionably. "I bet you're secretly hating this. We're part of your family now. You excited to live on the same territory as me in a few years? We could be neighbours." He pursed his lips, teasing my mate who narrowed his eyes not entertained by his words.
"You certainly will not be my neighbour. You'll be on the opposite side on my territory, the furthest away you could possibly get."
"Well if this goes ahead, it will be our territory." Pierce continued to tease as Blaine's facial expression dropped sending him a death glare.
I shook my head smiling when Lena approached us, directing everyone into the dining hall since our food was nearly prepared. Before Lena could leave to go back to the kitchen, Blaine grabbed her hand forcing her to a stop before looking at me.
"I think we should announce her name before dinner." Blaine stated his words catching my attention as I placed my daughter's Moses basket next to me while Lena stood smiling next to us.
Looking up I nodded in agreement. "We should. Did you want to make a speech or me?"
We hadn't really discussed how we would do this, we were going to go with the flow and enjoy the moment instead of planning everything out.
"I'd like to." He confirmed and asked Lena to take a seat next to him so she wouldn't miss the announcement.
I smiled widely in excitement but also slightly relieved, public speaking had never been my forte. I quickly picked my daughter up, placing her into my arms as I stared down at her, her bight eyes never leaving mine as she cooed in my arms.
Blaine stood up, his chair scraping against the floor as he captured everyone's attention. "We'd both like to thank everyone for coming to celebrate the birth of mine and Kennedy's daughter."
"Since I was a child I had dreamt of my mate and what she would be like and I couldn't be more blessed to have you," His attention turning to me making me blush slightly as all eyes were suddenly on me.
"I have regrets in the way we met and having forced you to bare by mark but the moment I saw you, I knew you were mine and would always be mine. If I could go back and change the way it happened I would but I wouldn't change the fact that I kicked your dad's ass." He teased as he looked over at my father who growled at him causing everyone to laugh.
"I think you'll rightly remember that I kicked your ass." My father called out loudly insuring everyone had heard his reply, glaring over at Blaine playfully.
"Having been an eye witness," Eli said standing up, his hand coming up to lean on his chest and over his heart. "I can confirm that Blaine kicked your ass." Eli teased with a wink as he looked down at my father, purposely winding his Alpha up who in return narrowed his eyes causing everyone to laugh.
Blaine continued once the laughter died down, "You've changed me Kenny, I am no longer the scarred Alpha that I am known to be. When my father took my mother's life, he stole mine and I was forced to be become an adult before I could even be a child."
"You've given me so many reasons to change and even more so after you gifted me with the most beautiful daughter." I grinned widely at my mate's words, my heart and wolf aching with love and admiration.
I quickly stood up, knowing he was about to announce our daughter's name but I was excited yet anxious to share my own news. I knew it would mean the world to Blaine.
"We have decided to name her ch-" He began but I cut him off, my tone louder than his as he stared at me shocked and taken back.
"Blair. Her name is Blair." I smiled, my eyes never swaying from my mates as I waited anxiously for his reaction to naming his daughter after his mother.
Everyone began clapping and shouting their congratulations.
Blaine ran his hand through his hair before his mind comprehended my words and now fully acknowledging them, a contagious smile replacing his shocked expression. "Really?"
I bit the insides of my cheeks and then my bottom lip as I stared back up at him with a nervous smile. "Really." I confirmed. "You like it?"
"Ken, I love it." Blaine couldn't stop his smile from growing as he leaned down, grabbing my hips and pulling me carefully to his chest since his daughter still laid in my arms as he placed a firm kiss on my lips and a soft kiss on his daughter's forehead.
"What made you decide to do that?"
"Last night, I was just staring at her while she slept and when she suddenly opened her eyes, she held an intense look with me. Everyone always comments on how she shares your mother's eyes, and the way she was staring at me I knew she wanted and needed to have the gift of your mother's name. You also need it deep down."
Blaine nodded slowly, taking my words in before smiling. "I love you, you know that."
"I don't blame you." I teased as he grabbed me by my neck, his lips then crashing onto mine, sparks tingling across my skin at his touch leaving him smirking against my lips before pulling away.
Feeling a tug on my dress, I looked down to see Maverick having a tight grip on both Blaine and I as he stared up at us. Blaine leaned down, gathering Maverick into his arms as he swung him to lean on his right hip.
Maverick stayed there balancing safely on Blaine's hip as he placed his head on Blaine's shoulder his focus solely on Blair. I took a step forward, Blaine's right arm slivering behind my back, holding me tightly to his side.
In that moment, I felt the happiest, having my family surrounded around us as we celebrated one of the biggest moments of our lives. I laid my head on my mate's chest, feeling him sigh in content as I leaned up and placed a kiss on his lips. "I love you Blaine and I love our family." I whispered before pulling away and stroking Maverick lovingly under his chin.
"What'd you think Maverick? Her name's Blair." I smiled as his eyes went big, looking down curiously as he repeated his mate's name.
"Blair, mine." He whispered protectively as he continued to repeat her name causing Blaine to roll his eyes in annoyance before huffing.
"Honestly, I don't think he'll survive to make his 5th birthday at this rate." Blaine stated causing me to giggle at my mate, shaking my head knowing deep down that he loved Maverick like his own and I couldn't be more eager or excited for the future.
