It's been a few days since we arrived at Benjamin's territory and I've found myself sitting in the gardens with a few of the younger women in the pack, discussing general pack life and our own personal lives.
I caught Blaine walking out the patio doors with Benjamin in the corner of my eye. I turned to watch as they walked out of the doors and stood next to the pack warriors that were guarding the pack house.
Over the past few days, I'd been watching and taking notice in Blaine's behaviour and how he changes in the presence of his grandfather, he's happier and more relaxed, he feels safe in his presence, as if he was a little kid again.
I smiled as I looked towards my mate, but I was soon out of my thoughts as one of the women asked me a question and brought my attention back.
"How's living with an Alpha?" I said, repeating her question. "Well, being the daughter of an Alpha, I've never known anything different."
I looked at Blaine and noticed that he was listening on my conversation without showing that he was. He was watching me in the corner of his eye, and his head was slightly turned in my direction while he pretended to listen to one of the pack warriors.
I smirked knowingly, "Plus you get used to them being stubborn, annoying and their overbearing personalities."
I caught Blaine smirking, and it made me laugh knowing that he had heard what I said.
For a while, I continued talking to the women while Blaine conducted some business with Benjamin. And just before dinner I found myself upstairs so that I could take quick shower.
After washing my hair and drying myself off, I walked out of the bathroom with my towel around myself but within seconds I found myself up against the wall with someone's hands over my mouth.
I was about to kick the jerk in the balls when I realised it was my mate. "Blaine" I screamed through my mouth while he kept his hand there.
He laughed and smiled at me, I frowned but smiled at the same time as he scared the life out of me.
He pulled his hands away and put them on my waist. "You scared me!" I said with a smile.
"Oh, so I'm stubborn, annoying, overbearing and scary now?" He questioned with a smirk which only made me laugh.
"I knew you were listening." I said while laughing at my mate while he just smiled back at me.
I was laughing so much that I didn't even realise that my towel had fallen off and was suddenly surrounding my feet, Blaine's eyes immediately began analysing my body and his eyes instantly went black with lust and before I knew it, I was lying on the bed with Blaine hovering on top of me, kissing my neck over and over again.
After showering once again, Blaine and I made our way down the stairs. Blaine said that he wanted to take me out for dinner and that we wasn't dining with Benjamin and his pack tonight.
Blaine had taken me out to the shops to grab some clothes for the few days we were here since I had forced myself into the car without bringing any of my belongings with me or shoes.
Blaine grabbed my hand as we walked towards the car heading for the restaurant in the nearby town. He had called and made a reservation earlier and we had the restaurant to ourselves which was surprising, but it was different and I was liking it.
"We leave tomorrow by the way, I have some things that I need to finish at home."
"Why, what needs your attention?" I questioned after I had finished chewing.
"I've just got some business that needs my attention. I don't like being away from our pack for too long anyway, there's some rogue issues lately and they've been trespassing on our land." I nodded, I knew that there were rogues trespassing as I had overheard some pack warriors discussing the issue during the week I was ignoring Blaine.
"In a few weeks Benjamin is going to stay at ours for a week or so as I'm having a meeting with the Alphas off our territory."
"Including my father?" I asked as he mentioned the surrounding areas of our territory.
"Yes, and Gabriel."
At the mention of my father's name, I smiled as I hadn't spoken to him in a while. "Wait Pierce is boarding our territory as well, does that mean that he's invited to the meeting?"
I was a little confused as Blaine had plans to overtake his land, and inviting him onto our territory was dangerous as it meant that Pierce could attack.
"Yes but I have no concerns about him being on my land." Blaine said confidently, realising that I was worried, I just nodded at his answer as we continued with our dinner.
The next day we said our goodbyes to Benjamin and his pack before heading back home. The car journey was long and I found myself sleeping for the majority of the journey. I was finding myself becoming very tired recently, I was guessing it was from all the late nights I was having.
We soon pulled up outside our house and I was greeted immediately with Tilly, who was standing on the steps of my house. The moment I stepped out of the car I was embraced in a hug, knowing it was Tilly I squeezed her tightly. I hadn't seen her for quite a while and I had loads to catch up with her.
"I missed you." Tilly said to me as we slightly pulled away from each other.
"I missed you too Tilly." I said smiling, happy that I was back in the presence of my best friend.
Since it was only 10 in the morning we relaxed indoors for a few hours, catching up and watching movies until it came to around 1 o'clock when we both decided to go to the mall and get some shopping.
With Diego and a few other pack warriors, we headed into town while Blaine was cooped up in his office.
Blaine's POV:
Going through all the paperwork and information that I had on Pierces land was taking a long time, I was scanning and searching through each document looking for information that I could take advantage of.
For months I had plans on over taking his land and I was only a few days away from doing so, but unexpectedly my mate turned up and all my plans had taken a back burner until I was able to continue to do so.
I was reminding myself on all the important details that I needed to know before continuing on my intention to take Pierce's territory.
It was nothing personal on him, he was a good Alpha and he had a strong and respected pack, but I was always looking for advantages and his land would give me that.
I was always looking in the future and how my children and their family would benefit, I was constantly wanting the need for my pack to feel safe and completely stable on my land. My territory did provide that, but I always wanted more.
I had planned a meeting with the surrounding Alphas on my land before I visited Benjamin, it was due to take place late next month, allowing me two months extra to revise and revisit my plans.
Pierce was invited, he knew of my plans, I wasn't the type of Alpha who would hit you blindly, I was straight forward and honest. I learnt a long time ago that being a coward and attacking in surprise was a weak and gutless thing to do.
I sat in my office for hours with my Beta Adrian, we continued looking through documents until Lena brought us up our lunch, and for a while we sat their talking about anything and everything which was unusual as we hadn't done that in years.
Our conversation was cut short when my phone started ringing, I picked it up and greeted the person unsure on who it was.
"Blaine?" I knew immediately by the voice that it was Pierce and I quickly put it on loud speaker so that Adrian could hear the conversation.
"Pierce," I replied, interested in why he was calling me.
"My pack and I will not be attending your meeting that you planned. I know of your plans to overtake my pack and if it's a fight that you want, then that is exactly what you will get."
"Then so be it." I replied before the phone buzzed indicating that the phone was cut off.
