Chapter 6 of 45

Beach Days - short

Luigi Mangione - Imagines213 words~2 min read

When you weren't at a concert or music festival, you and Luigi found yourselves on lazy beach days, always at different spots depending on your mood. Sometimes you'd walk along the water, your toes sinking into the sand, just talking about random things—his plans for the future, your art projects, the way Hawaii felt like it was home even though it was still new. Other times, you'd lie on the blanket, heads tilted toward the sun, talking about everything and nothing.

He loved hearing you talk about your writing, your art, and your photography. He'd ask questions, always showing genuine interest in what you had to say. And you loved hearing about the books he was reading, the deep thoughts he'd ponder. The way he could go from talking about philosophy to cracking a joke, seamlessly flipping between being deep and being playful, kept you on your toes in the best way.

There were also days when you and Luigi would get caught in spontaneous sand fights, building ridiculous sandcastles or burying each other up to your necks, laughing until your stomachs hurt. But the best part? The way he'd wrap his arms around you as the sun set, just holding you while the orange hues of the sky made everything feel softer.
