" If I die today I'll make sure to give your address to the devil." I warn Tyler while trying to get some life back into my freezing toes.
" Stop overreacting and enjoy Mother Nature." Tyler states while rolling his eyes.
" I would enjoy it more if it wasn't 50 degrees outside! " I snap.
Tyler sighs in disappointment as he looks down at the map he is holding. Does he even know how to read the damn thing? My guess is no.
" The cabin should be here somewhere." he says more to himself.
" You said that 2 hours ago. " Parker whines from behind us.
Emily has fallen asleep on his back while he was giving her a piggy back. I don't know how she sleeps through this cold weather. Parker looks as if he's on the verge of passing out. I would be too if I had to carry Emily for 2 hours.
" It's not my fault the map isn't accurate." Tyler scoffs making me almost burst out laughing.
Yeah blame it on the map.
" You're supposed to know where the cabin is because according to you, you came here a lot as a child." I glare daggers into his head while speaking.
We're lost inside the woods and Tyler is too stubborn to admit it. We haven't had signal for the past few hours and so Tyler decided to follow the route by using a map he just so happens to carry around. It didn't quite work out the way we all hoped.
The week we have been through was stressful. After I said goodbye to my dad I walked back to the dorm just in time to witness Tyler punch Ashton. Luckily I didn't miss anything. Before I could show him a piece of my mind Tyler threatened him and Ashton disappeared shortly after.
Emily was an emotional wreck the whole week. Tyler and I tried everything to make her forget about that asshole she liked to call her boyfriend but nothing seemed to cheer her up. I felt helpless because usually Tyler cheers her up. That was until Tyler showed up with Parker the other day and ever since then Emily has been sliglty less moody.
Does she have a thing for Parker? They would make a cute couple now that I'm thinking about it. I'm sure Parker has some feelings towards Emily seeing as he almost strangled Ashton through his apartment door the day we found out about the abuse.
" Guys please just give me a minute to figure this thing out." Tyler sighs while straightening the map in his hands. He won't be able to see anything in a while seeing as the sun is starting to set.
Man it's just getting colder as the seconds pass.
" We're lost. "Tyler finally admits.
No shit Sherlock.
I groan in frustration. Of course something like this would happen to us. We're just 4 college students trying to get away for the weekend before our first week of exams. Is that so much to ask for? Apparently so.
" Looks like we're camping out." Parker states as he starts waking Emily up.
He's going to have muscle aches for days after Emily's weight.
I turn towards Tyler and shoot him a glare sent specially all the way from hell. How could he be so stupid to lead us into the woods with no idea whatsoever where the cabin is? Now he got us all stuck and we're probably going to die due to frostbite.
" Babe I'm sorry." Tyler apologizes for the tenth time since we came to the conclusion that we're camping out in the middle of the woods in the freezing weather.
I don't react to Tyler's excuse of an apology. Of course I'm pissed off. I hate getting cold and I hate not knowing what animals are around us. Isn't the woods the ideal place for a serial killer to do a mass murder?
" Ally - baby - please talk to me." he pouts as he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into his chest.
I'm still mad at him but the heat coming from his body is making me a little more calm.
" I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you in the morning." he whispers into my ear sending another heat wave down my body.
This guy is good. Too good.
" If we survive that long." I state while moving out of his embrace and patting him on his chest.
We would've been in a warm and cozy cabin, sipping on some hot chocolate and then cuddle up in front of the fireplace and tell funny stories. But here we are, trying to get a fire started and not get eaten by wild animals.
" I did it!" Parker yells in excitement as flames starts growing from where Parker has been trying to a fire started for the last hour.
Emily claps her hands in excitement before jumping into Parker's arms. I stand with a smirk on my face as I witness the scene unfold in front of me. I see what you're doing Emily.
" Wish you could jump into my arms like that." Tyler scoffs as his foot makes contact with a little rock making it move a few feet away from us.
" Maybe if you didn't get us lost in the middle of no where I would've done more than just jump into your arms." I say while giving him a fake smile.
Tyler's eyes widen as he realizes what he might have missed out on.
" Are you serious now?" he deadpans.
" Guess we'll never know. " I sing as I walk past him.
I hear him curse from behind me and I can't help but laugh at his behavior. I walk over to where Emily is standing with her palms facing the fire. I do the same to gain some extra heat.
Luckily we had food with us that was supposed to be for the cabin so we weren't going to die from hunger. We made supper that consisted of hotdogs and marshmallows and ended up sitting around the fire, laughing at Parker's lame attempt of jokes and spooky stories. I in the end moved closer to Tyler, only because of his body heat, and so we spent God knows how long sitting in front of the fire until we all fell asleep. Me in Tyler's arms and Emily on Parker's lap.
I woke up the next morning with an aching body. Sleeping on the ground will do that to you. Not only was my body screaming for mercy but my eyes were blinded by the sun. Even in winter the sun still makes its annoying appearance in the morning. Tyler's back was turned to me and from the light snores I'm hearing I know he's still fast asleep.
"G-guys-" I hear Emily whisper.
Turning around to face her, I suddenly freeze when my eyes land on her. Emily is laying on the ground with a snake moving up her leg and towards her waist.
Dear God.
" Help." she whimpers.
She's trying to sit really still so that she doesn't encourage the snake to attack. It doesn't look like she's going to stay calm for long. I slowly turn around and poke Tyler so that he can wake up and help get the snake off from Emily. If the snake sinks it's teeth into her skin we're going to have big problems. We don't even know where we are nor do we have signal so how in the hell are we going to get her to a hospital in time?
" What?" Tyler whines as he turns around in my direction.
" S-snake." I whisper while pointing towards Emily.
Tyler frowns in confusion before realization hits him. His eyes widen once he notices the snake and a shivering Emily. Parker is still fast asleep and doesn't know about the snake that has set its eyes on poor Emily.
Tyler stands up slowly and searches his surroundings.
" Stay calm-" he whispers while slowly moving around in search of something.
" Yeah sure it's not like there's a snake on me." Emily snaps while still whispering.
She has a fair point. I would've passed out a long time ago if I were placed in her situation.
Tyler walks around for a few minutes before bending down and wrapping his fingers around a large stick that was laying on the ground. He moves towards Emily with slow steps. Once he reaches her he stretches out the stick in his hand towards the snake's head. The snake doesn't react immediately but after a few movements from the stick it's head snaps in the stick's direction. Before I can even register what's happening the snake sinks it's teeth into the stick and Tyler quickly pulls the stick away from Emily with the snake hanging onto it by its teeth. Tyler wastes no time before throwing the stick far into the woods. Hopefully the snake shat himself and won't be back whilst we are here.
Emily and I look at Tyler in awe. I really thought this was the end for Emily and I'm sure Emily thought so too. Who would have known that Tyler was so bright this early in the morning?
" I was a boy scout." Tyler shrugs.
We hear some shuffling coming from Parker before he slowly opens his eyes.
" What did I miss?" Parker asks.

" We made it!" Tyler cheers once he steps foot into the cabin that we have been on the hunt for since yesterday.
When Emily finally calmed down from her near death experience we decided on searching for the cabin since we had no idea whatsoever where we were and the cabin at least offers some sort of signal. That way we can figure out how to get out of the woods without getting lost again. It started raining about an hour into our hunt and Tyler managed to slip and fall into a mud puddle. He was acting worse than a girl from having mud all over his clothes. I thought he was a boy scout in his younger years? I'm sure this isn't the first time he got mud on him. At least we made it to the cabin.
" 26 hours later." Parker comments.
Tyler punches him on the shoulder before allowing us girls to step inside.
The cabin is exactly what I imagined it like but only bigger. Dark wood floors and walls. A semi-large lounge in the far conner of the open plan with a normal sized kitchen in the opposite corner. A stair case is only a few feet away from the front door which leads up to the second floor of the cabin. There's also a large fireplace near the kitchen and it's definitely drawing me closer. The furniture looks as cozy as ever and if I listen closely I can hear it calling out my name. All in all this place looks more inviting than the trees outside so you won't hear me complaining.
" Almost getting choked by a snake was totally worth it for this little piece of paradise." Emily comments dreamily as her eyes roam over the interior.
I'm not saying I agree with her but this cabin really screams paradise.
" Right there are 3 rooms on the first floor and 2 rooms on the second floor. You guys can pick and choose whichever room you want but Ally and I get the master bedroom." Tyler announces and throws a wink in my direction.
" What made you think that I want to share a room with you? " I question his assumption even though I would've made myself comfortable in the room he was in without his permission.
" I had a feeling." Tyler answers while slowly walking towards me with a slight smirk on his face.
" Okay lovebirds. I'm going to head over to a bathroom and freshen up so we'll see you in uh- you know what? Take your sweet little time." Emily winks before dragging Parker out of our sight and into the hallway leading to the 3 bedrooms downstairs.
Tyler and I burst out laughing before also heading up the stairs and into the master bedroom. Even the bedroom is bigger than my kitchen back home. I've said it once and I'll say it again, these people are flithy rich.
" So how about that 'making up' I promised you yesterday?" Tyler speaks up after a few minutes of me just observing the beauty that is the bedroom.
I wrinkle my nose in disgust as I look his muddy figure up and down before shaking my head. Tyler looks confused for a few seconds before looking down and realizing that he is still covered in mud.
" I think you taking a shower will make it up to me." I comment and laugh once I see his face drop.
He doesn't utter a word as he turns around and heads over to the en-suite bathroom. I hear the shower go on while unpacking a few things from my luggage that I carried with. I don't get to finish as I feel arms wrap around me and lift me up into the air.
" Tyler what the hell?!" I yell out from the sudden action and try to free myself from his grip.
He walks us over to the bathroom and my eyes widen in realization.
" No- Tyler I swear-" my words are cut off as he puts me down underneath the shower head making the water soak my clothes.
I would have been more pissed if the water was cold but damn this heat is making my aching muscles feel a little more relieved.
" Shower with me? " Tyler whispers into my ear while tugging at the hem of my shirt.
" You didn't give me much of a choice." I comment.
Tyler doesn't reply as he basically rips off my shirt and smashes his lips onto mine. The sudden movement sends me backing up against the shower wall with Tyler pressed up against me. He kisses me with intensity as if this is the first time his lips are on mine. I kiss him back fiercely and only pull away for a second to pull of his shirt. The kiss continues to become more intense as he unhooks my bra and pushes my bare chest up against his. The skin on skin contact sends my insides flipping. Next thing I know we are both completely naked and wet from head to toe, due to the steaming hot water. I tug on Tyler's hair and he responds by cupping my behind and lifting me up. I wrap my legs around his waist and dig my nails into his back. He releases a slight moan into my ear.
" If you keep doing that then we're both going to sin." he whispers hoarsly into my ear.
My head dips back into the shower wall from pure pleasure. He can turn me on by only using his words. He's that good.
A few seconds passes before our lips are once again united. His mouth starts trailing kisses down my neck and I moan once I feel his teeth sink into my skin. He comes back up to my jaw and kisses along the line until his lips are back on mine. It's my turn to trail down kisses but I stop for a second when reaching his ear.
" Maybe I want to sin." I whisper.
