" Wake up."
" Yoohoo big summer blow out."
Wait what? I begin to stir in my bed as I try and block out the annoying sound of whoever is trying to wake me from my coma.
" You watched Frozen too?!"
" Shut up."
" I love Elsa's hair. It's so white and long and it just suits her. I've been trying to get my hair to look like that but everytime I'm at the hair dresser she keeps on changing my mind. I don't know how she does it. Like this one time - "
Are you being serious now? I crack one eye open to reveal an annoyed Tyler with a bubbling Emily next to him. Welcome to my world Tyler.
Wait a fat minute.
Why the hell is Tyler in my room? And did he really watch Frozen? He's so not hearing the end of this one.
" I think your hair looks fine. Don't try and make it white it'll make you look old." Tyler says as soon as Emily stopped rambling on. He's now busy observing her hair and giving Emily a few tips.
I rub my eyes to make sure I'm not still sleeping. Once my vision clears nothing has changed. What weird people I surround myself with.
"Uh guys?" I say while adding a yawn at the end. Pretty sure I just made you yawn. Hah you did it again! I need help.
" Oh goody you're up." Emily shrieks while clapping her hands.
I quirk my eyebrow. How can she have so much energy when I'm struggling to keep my eyelids open?
" Yeah and there better be a damn good reason why you woke me up." I threaten as I climb out of bed and walk over to the en-suite.
" We're meeting up with the others for breakfast. You don't have a choice." Emily answers confidently. I'm glad she's gained a back bone since the first time we met. She's a nice person and a lot of people mistake that as a weakness.
" Still doesn't explain why he is here. " I say while applying toothpaste on my toothbrush.
Emily doesn't answer and I roll my eyes. She's being the not-so-descrete-cupid again. I quickly finish up in the bathroom which includes me having a shower, doing light makeup and blow drying my hair. The only problem is that I forgot to bring an outfit into the en-suit. I tighten the towel around me as I step into the room.
" and Gabby thought I was hitting on Parker so she got upset and I was just like sitting there, holding Ashton's hand as a matter of fact, ready to rip her hair out. I know she was drunk but seriously I wouldn't hit on someone my friend has an eye for." Emily rambles on.
I watch as Tyler listens closely to what Emily has to say. He's sitting cross legged on my bed while facing Emily in the same position on her bed.
Glad to see someone is enjoying Emily's gossip.
They turn their attention to me as soon as I open my wardrobe. Emily looks stunned to see me in my towel while Tyler has his infamous smirk painted on his face.
" Oh please don't let me interrupt your serious discussion." I say sincerely and chuckle.
Tyler gives me a once over before winking and focusing his attention back on Emily as she babbles on. Poor Tyler but he really doesn't seem bothered.
I fish out an outfit for the day and head back into the bathroom to change. I decide on wearing a royal blue sun dress that reaches me mid thigh. Pairing it off with white sandles and hoop earrings I bought the other day I step out of the bathroom.
I gather a few of my personal belongings into my purse before clearing my throat.
" If we sit here and listen to any more gossip we're going to miss breakfast all toghter." I announce.
They utter in agreement before they get up and leave the room, still gossiping. I'm starting to question some things.
I lock the door and follow behind the two gossip girls. We stop in front of Tyler's car and Emily hops into the backseat. I sigh as I climb into the passenger seat.
" You look beautiful by the way." Tyler grins as he starts the engine.
" Awww you guys." Emily sniffs from the backseat. I roll my eyes. She's such a hopeless romantic.
Within minutes we reach Dommy's Caffe. The cafe is already packed as we enter like expected. It wasn't hard to miss where our friends were seated seeing as three tables were pushed against each other to create space for all of us. We were the last to arrive as I see that Trish, Samantha, Gabby, Parker, Mason, Ashton, Jackson and Zac were already seated.
Zac.
Memories of last night rushes through my head as I look at Zac. He looks somewhat embarrassed. He has a dark bruise forming under his eye and a busted lip from where Tyler punched him last night. I hear Tyler sigh as his eyes lands on Zac.
Nevertheless we approach the group and each take our seats. Emily sits beside Ashton as his hand immediately swings around her shlouder to claim what's his. Pathetic. I sit across from Trish and give her a small smile. Tyler takes the seat next to me as he is sitting across from Zac. How convenient. Not.
" How's everyone's head feeling?" Emily asks and so the conversation flows out through the table. The waitress comes by and asks everyone's order. Poor girl has a lot to do. Especially when it comes to the boys. I watch as Mason tries his utter best to flirt but fails miserably when she walks over to Parker to take his order. I like this girl already. Soon enough she's off with all our orders.
" I did not flirt with Parker!" I hear Emily yell out frustrated. Shits about to go down.
" You clearly were. I might have been drunk but I saw you grinding up against him!" Gabby yells which causes a few heads to turn in our direction.
I watch closely as the scene unfolds in front of me. I look over at Tyler to see him shaking his head. They did gossip about this just before we came here.
" She did not flirt with me babe. " Parker defends Emily.
Poor kid is stuck between the two girls. I didn't even know Parker was dating Gabby. Things tend to escolate fast here.
" Oh so now you are taking her side?" Gabby spits.
I look over at the others at the table. They all share a bored expression besides Mason. He's not even paying attention. Does this happen often? Still feels like high school.
" Oh for the love of unicorns. Get your head out of your ass and stop accusing me of flirting with a guy you've only been seeing for a few days. I'm with Ashton in case you forgot." Emily sighs out loud.
" At least I know how to keep a guy." Gabby spits which causes everyone to gasp. Including me.
" Hold up. "
Everyone looks at me as I stand up from my seat. Tyler grips onto my wrist in order for me to sit down but I quickly shake him off.
" Ally don't get involved. " Tyler whispers loud enough for only me to hear. I shake my head and look over at Gabby who is quirking her eyebrow at me.
Don't do this.
" So let me get this straight."
You're doing this. I hate being your subconscious.
" You are accusing Emily, one of your best friends from what I've heard, of flirting with Parker, a guy you've only know a few days, while you were drunk. Then you wake up the next morning, aka today, and still acuse her for flirting with him. Honey I saw how wasted you were last night so you clearly saw things that didn't happen. "
Everyone looks at me with wide eyes as they wait for Gabby to answer.
" This has nothing to do with you. If this whore couldn't keep it to herself then this wouldn't happen. " Gabby shrugs.
I hear everyone gasp once more before they all start attacking Gabby on what she just said. My eyes are focused on Emily as I see her eyes tear up from what her best friend just told her. What a best friend she is.
" What did you just call her?" I ask as I slowly start to round the table. The table stops talking and waits patiently for what's about to happen.
Gabby gulps as she doesn't reply.
" I thought so." I say as I reach her chair. She was probably feeling intimidated by my figure towering over hers so she makes a mistake by standing up. We're the same level now.
" Emily is everything but a whore. She might be loud and over dramatic -" I hear Emily chuckle at that one, " but she's loyal to her friends. Unlike you."
Gabby rolls her eyes at my statement. Clear sign of weakness. She can't handle being confronted.
" Jealousy isn't a good look on you babe. " I wink before walking back to my seat.
" Slut is a great look for you. " I hear her spit.
This is what angers me. People throw around the words whore and slut like they are greetings. They clearly missed the definition that comes with either words. A whore is someone who sexuelly pleases another person for money according to Google. Last time I checked my bank balance was doing good and it definitely wasn't from me selling myself off to random guys.
" Back off already. God you are starting to annoy the living shit out of me. You aren't even that good in bed for me to tolerate this drama." Parker speaks up.
Gabby's face is priceless. I try my best to not burst into fits of laughter. This is way too good. It's horrible that he embarrassed her in front of the everyone but she had it coming.
" This is the part where you fuck off. " I deadpan.
Gabby looks over at the people in front of her. They all avert their gaze away from her, basically telling her that they agree. I feel bad for the girls. They saw Gabby as one of their girls but everyone's true colors show at some point.
Gabby picks up her purse and storms out of the cafe. Emily immediately gets up and storms off to the bathroom. Trish and Samantha short on her tail. She'll be okay. It's hard once you realize that you actually never really knew someone that close to you.
" Where's the food?" I call out and everyone returns to what they were doing before the episode.
I take my seat again and Tyler slings his arm over my shoulder. He brings his mouth closer to my ear.
" What you did was stupid and immature but I'm glad Emily has someone who'll stick up for her. You're a great friend." he whispers.
I nod. What Gabby did wasn't right. Usually I don't bother myself with other people's problems but I know Emily has a hard time sticking up for herself. She's learning but the fact that it was someone close to her calling her out made it a difficult for her. I see Emily as my friend now. It takes a lot of someone to come through to me and gain that title because I'm not the nicest of people.
The waitress comes by and starts handing out everyone's orders. Soon enough Emily returns to the table. After reassuring everyone that she is fine we all dive into our food. I mean the rest of the group dive into their food. I was long ahead of them. Oops.
" You can't eat that with your braces cupcake." Samantha laughs at Trish as she points over to the rusks in front of Trish.
Cupcake?
My suspensions of them being together is confirmed when Trish leans over and plants a quick peck on Samantha's lips before pushing the rusk into her mouth.
" Stop staring." Tyler chuckles.
I look over at him and grab a piece of his bacon. Before he can argue I prop it into my mouth. After swallowing it I stick my tongue out at him in a childish manner. He only rolls his eyes.
"Who's up for the fair?" Jackson asks.
Everyone agrees in excitement. There goes my Sunday nap. Oh well I haven't been to the fair in a really long time. It sounds like fun.
We finish up with our food and split the bill. Parker was stuck doing the math as soon as the bill came seeing as he is the numbers guy in the group. I hate being the one to figure out who owes this and who owes that. I always get confused because the amount never adds up. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a disliking towards it.
We gather our belonings and exit the cafe. I'm stuck in a car with Tyler seeing as I'm the only one without a car here besides Emily but she's going with Ashton. Thanks a lot Em.
Before I reach Tyler's car I feel my arm being jerked back lightly. Turning around I face Zac.
" Can I help you?" I quirk my eyebrow.
Tyler comes to a stop next to me. " Is he bothering you?"
I roll my eyes at him. Like I said a million times before, I can handle myself.
" I just want to apologize man." Zac says lifting his arms up in surrender.
Tyler growls and I slap him on the back of his head.
" Go wait in the car. I'll be with you in a sec." I mutter.
Tyler shoots one last glare towards Zac before he jumps into his car. I look back at Zac and fold my arms.
" Please enlighten me on why you sexuelly assaulted me last night." I say as I quirk my eyebrow.
Zac sighs.
" I'm gay. "
Well that certainly wasn't the answer I expected.
