Dear Diary
I'm starting to get used to living with Emily. She's loud that's not hard to miss but I've learned that she's a good person. I might even refer to her as a friend now. She still needs to lose some of the pink for that to happen. I've even started listening to the gossip she has to tell. Greystone College can get interesting. I was stunned to hear that she has been seeing that waiter guy, who's name is Ashton, that gave his number to her the other day. It's been a while since I've sat down and written to you but college life is busy okay. You're probably wondering about Tyler. Well I haven't seen much of him. When I do see him he's with Mason and God I still can't stand the sight of that guy. Tyler did stop by the dorm the other day to bring me soup when I was coming down with the flu. Emily had something to do with that even though she denied it. She's playing undercover cupid though she's not being so descrete about it. Speaking of playing cupid, she invited us all to go to the annual Greystone College bonfire. Well more like told us that we are going. Everyone is going. This will be good.

" Hurry up we're going to be late Ally!" Emily yells from the bathroom. She hops out with one shoe on while trying to put on her earrings.
I close my diary and glare at Emily. " We wouldn't be late if someone didn't lose their key for the dorm."
Emily rolls her eyes as she slips on her other shoe and starts throwing stuff into her purse.
" I'm sorry that I'm forgetful. You were supposed to have your key with you."
I stand up and pull on my shoes as well. I'm already dressed so it's just Emily that is keeping us here. Like usual.
" You said you were taking a key." I argue as I grab my purse.
" You should still take your key. "
I chuckle as I grab the cooler box and open the door. Emily locks the door and we head down to my car. I insisted on driving once again because I actually like living and with Emily driving there is a chance we might not make it.
We load the numerous stuff that we'll need for the bonfire into my trunk. I'm actually really excited to get out of the dorm and enjoy myself. The last time I went out was to Tyler's frat party and that was like 3 weeks ago. I'm actually really proud of myself for staying committed to my work.
" You sure you don't want me to drive? I know the roads better than you do." Emily asks.
" I'm sure. I have a GPS that'll do just fine." I say as I climb into the car.
I turn up the volume of the music before I speed off. It still feels weird driving without my sunglasses. I should look into buying a new pair even though it won't replace my pervious ones.
" So are you and Tyler going to get it on tonight?" Emily smirks.
Here we go.
***
" You had to turn right there!" Emily yells into my ear.
" Don't fucking yell! I'm trying to concentrate here!" I freak out. I hate it when people raise their voice at me. Especially when I'm driving.
" We missed the turn so now we are going to be even more late. " Emily whines.
I ignore her as I make an illegal u-turn before driving off to where I had to turn right. Luckily the roads aren't that busy.
" Finally." Emily praises as we find a parking in the crowded parking lot. I can already see from here how packed the beach is.
Emily hops out of the car and heads for the trunk. I help her get everything out before we head over to the beach.
" There you guys are. " Zac, one of Emily's friends, say as he and his brother Jackson jog over to us.
They take the stuff out of our hands and lead us over to where a group of people are sitting.
" Finally. We thought you got lost." Trish, Emily's friend with the braces, laughs as we reach them. I notice that she and Samantha are holding hands as they sit next to each other. I wonder if they are together? I make a mental note to ask Emily once we get back.
" With Emily anything is possible." Jackson laughs.
Emily hits him playfully on the shoulder. " We lost our room key and Ally can't follow a GPS if it meant saving her life."
I throw her a quick glare.
" You're here!" I hear a girl giggle. I turn my attention towards Gabby, Emily's other friend, that is hanging on Parker, Tyler's friend. I feel like I'm referring everyone to someone's friend yet I'm not doing it for myself. Kind of sad.
" Oh Lord. Please tell me she isn't already drunk." Emily sighs.
Parker shrugs as he pulls Gabby onto his lap. She continues on giggling as he whispers something into her ear. Why the hell is everyone so romantic?
" Oh there's Ashton!" Emily shrieks before she's off to tackle the poor guy.
I chuckle as I watch the scene unfold in front of me. Zac calls me over to take a seat next to him and I do so. Conversation flows out between the group as the time passes by. Just as I thought I was having a good time, Tyler and Mason make their presence known. Wonderful.
" Hey gorgeous."
" Fuck off Mason." I say through gritted teeth. Can I hit him? Like just once I promise.
Mason winks at me before he's off to probably rub on some poor girl. I lit a cigarette just as Tyler sits down next to me with a smirk. I inhale the smoke before exhaling it slowly.
" Please leave the cheesy pick up lines for another girl." I say as soon as the smoke leaves my mouth.
" I don't need pick up lines to be smooth." Zac says from beside me which earns him a glare from Tyler. I laugh at his reaction before taking another pull.
" Do you want a drink? " Tyler asks as he gets up from his seat.
I nod in reply before he's off to fetch me a drink from one of the coolers. I drove here so I can't get wasted. I know my limits. One drink wouldn't hurt. I step on my now finished cigarette before throwing it into the plastic bag we use as a bin.
" Is he your boyfriend? " Zac asks.
" God no." I chuckle. I cringe just at the thought of me being in a relationship, especially with a guy like Tyler. Sure he brought me soup and all but I can't even remeber the last time I was in a relationship. It just doesn't seem like a good idea right now.
Zac laughs at my reply before he scoots closer to me. I frown but don't move away.
" You really do look gorgeous tonight." Zac says as his eyes rake down my body.
I look down at my white net-shirt. My black bikini that I'm wearing underneath can be seen through the shirt. I've paired the outfit off with light blue denim shorts and sandels.
" Thanks. " I say as I look back up at Zac.
He keeps on making small talk till Tyler comes back and hands me my drink. Vodka and cranberry, just how I like it.
Soon enough Zac dissappears into the night. I don't blame him because Tyler kept throwing him glares. Boys will be boys.
" Let's go dance!" Emily yells before she drags me over to the group of people that are dancing to the music coming out of the speakers. Tyler doesn't follow as he just sits back and watches us dance. I gesture for him to come join but he only shakes his head. I roll my eyes and continue on dancing with Emily. Soon enough Ashton joins us making me the odd wheel so I just let them be and carry on dancing.
" Hey." I hear someone whisper into my ear as I feel unfamiliar hands grip my waist. I turn around to face Zac. He's clearly drunk from what I can see and smell.
" Hi." I have to yell over the music for him to hear me.
Zac doesn't say anything as he pulls me closer by the waist. I pull back a little which only makes him pull me closer.
" Zac let go." I say as I put my hand on his chest to try and push him away.
" I just want to dance." He whines.
I'm not in the mood to dance with a guy that can barley stand up.
He pulls me closer again as he grips my behind. I try and pull away but the guy works out so I can't get out of his grip.
" Zac if you don't let me go I'll - "
" You'll what? Yell? Punch me?" he chuckles.
Next thing I know his lips come crashing down on mine while his one hand is positioned behind my neck to pull my face closer and the other hand is still on my behind.
I bite down on his lip and before he can make a sound I knee him in the grion. He doubles over in pain and I quickly move out of his grip. His clear pain earns us some attention and soon enough a small circle has formed.
" What the hell happened here?" Emily asks as she pushes through the crowd.
Zac tries get up onto his feet but just as he is on his feet I see a very pissed off Tyler come in and punch him. Once again Zac meets the sand in pain.
" You sick son of a bitch!" Tyler yells as he pulls Zac up before punching him again.
" Tyler stop!" I yell as I try and pull him away.
Tyler doesn't budge as he continues on throwing punches at Zac. Mason and Parker push through the crowd to pull Tyler off from Zac. His face is really messed up. As soon as Tyler is pulled off from Zac his eyes snap over to me. He shakes off Mason and Paker's grip before he walks over to me.
" Are you okay?"
" Are you fucking kidding me? I had that handled! You didn't need to jump in and beat the shit out of him!" I yell as I push him against his chest.
Tyler jumping in to save the day was totally uncalled for. I'm not a damsel in distress and I sure as hell don't need a knight in shining armor to come save the day. This is too fucking cringy for me. I think I'm going to be sick.
" Maybe if you didn't dress like that I wouldn't have to beat guys like him off from you!" Tyler yells back.
Out of nowhere my hand makes contact with Tyler's left cheek. I hear gasps go off around me as I look at a shocked Tyler.
Emily quickly sweeps in and grabs me by the arm before dragging me away from the crowd. I'm shaking by the time we stop at a deserted spot on the beach.
" Just take deep breaths Ally." Emily says as she rubs my back to calm me down.
" Why do they always need to fucking compete against each other to show how manly they are? It's pathetic and how dare he insult me on what I'm wearing. We're at a fucking beach I'm allowed to wear revealing clothes!" I cry out.
" I'm so sorry Ally. I don't know what has gotten into Zac. "
I don't reply as I continue on taking deep breaths. The shaking starts to fade and I feel as if I can think clearly again. Stupid testosterone.
" I'm heading home. Do you want to come with or are you going with Ashton? " I ask after a few minutes. There's no point in staying here after that whole episode.
" I'll catch a lift with Ashton. Are you sure you are in the right state to drive?" Emily quirks her eyebrow.
I nod before walking over to where the rest of the group is sitting. Tyler is no where to be found and so is Zac. I notice Jackson is gone too. He probably went after his brother.
I gather all my belongings before bidding everyone goodbye and reassuring Emily that I'll be fine driving back and that I'll let her know as soon as I reach the dorm.
As I reach my car I see a tall figure slounced against the door. Walking closer I see Tyler's figure come into view.
Not this again.
" I just want to go home." I say as I stop in front of my car.
" I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I said." Tyler apologizes as he steps forward. I take a step back.
" If you don't mean it, don't fucking say it." I snap as I try and round him to get to the door. He doesn't let me though.
" I really am sorry. Just let me explain. " he begs.
I sigh dramatically as I check the time. It's rounding midnight by now.
" Just take your sorry ass apology and leave me alone. I don't have the energy to drop-kick you now."
Tyler doesn't move. He clearly doesn't take no for an answer. After a few more attempts of trying to side step him I give up.
" Fine. You have five minutes." I say defeated.
