"YE KAHA FAS GYA MEI!"

---------------------------

An awkward silence hung in the room. I cleared my throat, gaining Vedang's attention.

We exchanged glances, and I gave him the 'I told you someone would come!' look.

Dev stood there, a mix of shock and amusement plastered on his face, his lips twitching.

He started, “I mean... I didn’t expect to see that. My poor eyes.”

I tried to say, “Dev, please. It wasn’t—”

“Wasn’t what?” Dev shot back, eyes widening in fake horror.

“My brother, future CEO, the dheet insaan had you wrapped around him like some kinda—”

Vedang groaned, shaking Dev slightly by the collar. “Shut up! Don’t go around gossiping about this, Dev.”

Dev threw his hands up in surrender, still grinning like an idiot. “Hey, hey! Bhai, relax. I’m not telling anyone... yet😏.”

Vedang narrowed his eyes. “Yet? What’s that supposed to mean?”

Dev wiggled his eyebrows mischievously. “Well, you know me. I don’t usually spill the tea... unless it’s absolutely juicy.”

“Oh, god,” I muttered, rubbing my temples. Dev was such a drama queen.

Dev interrupted, waving his hand dismissively. “Though this is kinda juicy but I'll spare you MAYBE. I should charge you for the mental trauma you’ve caused me.”

Vedang pinched the bridge of his nose, clearly exasperated, while I just snorted.

“You’ve seen worse, Dev. Quit acting like a naya baccha,” I said, shaking my head.

“Oh, please,” Dev retorted, dramatically placing a hand on his heart.

“This is different! Aap dono? Saath mei? I thought Kriti was just kidding but how did I not see this coming?..

All this time, I thought you were avoiding each other like the plague, especially few days back”

Vedang shot him a look. “We were keeping it private, genius.”

Dev smirked, not buying it. “Yeah, sure. Private. If by private, you mean making out in the house where literally everyone is!”

Vedang’s face turned red, but before he could retort, Dev turned to me. “You better watch out, Iraa. He’s a bit too intense sometimes.”

I looked at Dev with pleading eyes. “Dev, please, kisi ko mat batana!”

Dev sighed, now serious. “Theek hai, but you guys should be more careful! And bhai, what the fuck is wrong with you? You’re always on alert mode?! Be careful”

“Shut up, merko sikha mat tu abh!” Vedang retorted, making Dev roll his eyes.

“I’ll keep my mouth shut on one condition,” Dev said, his tone shifting.

Vedang and I exchanged glances, resigned. “First, never—I REPEAT—NEVER let me see that again!”

“The feeling is mutual,” I muttered.

“Good! And second, mere pyaare bhai,” Dev exaggerated, making me stifle a laugh, which clearly failed.

“VIP TICKETS FOR THE CLUB!” Dev smirked.

“Dev, I told you I’m not giving you those.”

“Fine, sorry then Iraa, lekin main aapki madad nahi kar sakta,” Dev shrugged, turning to leave when—

“Help them with what??” a voice interrupted.

Karan and Sidharth stood there, wide-eyed and clearly curious.

“Kya yaar, kya kar rahe ho tum log?” Sidharth asked. Dev looked at Vedang, who still hadn’t agreed to his condition.

Dev smirked. “Woh mai actually yaha se ja raha tha, tabh maine bhai ko—”

“Iraa wanted help, and I was nearby, so she called me. Dev was leaving, so I remembered I had to give him those VIP TICKETS,” Vedang said, clenching his jaw.

Dev grinned, feeling victorious. “Yes, yes!”

“I thought tum usko woh tickets nahi doge?” Sidharth asked, surprised.

“Wahi toh socha tha, par...” Vedang shrugged, still annoyed.

“Iraa,” Karan called, making me nervous.

“H..haa bhai?” I replied, trying to sound casual.

“Tumhe kya help chahiye thi jo tumne Vedang ko bulaya?” Karan asked, eyeing me with suspicion.

Vedang gulped again.

“Ah... woh... umm... SUITCASE!” I blurted out, louder than intended.

“Woh meri suitcase band nahi ho rahi thi, so haan, that’s it,” I added, fanning myself.

“But half of your clothes are out?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.

I had no answer. Just then, Dev chimed in. “Wahi toh! When I came, they both were trying to shut the case, par yeh band nahi ho rahi thi. Toh I suggested, sab bahar nikal ke wapas rakhne ka.”

He said it so casually that no one would suspect a thing.

Sidharth and Karan both nodded in agreement.

“Anyway, what are you both doing here?” I asked, eager to change the topic.

“Oh, haan. We were ordering pizza, toh do you guys want some?” Karan asked.

“Yess!” Dev and I said in unison. Vedang just shook his head.

“Alright, you guys pack and join us,” they said as they headed out.

“Meri wajah se aaj bache ho,” Dev tossed an imaginary hair flip before leaving.

As soon as they were gone, I smacked Vedang two or three times.

“Arey, arey! I didn’t know he would come! I completely forgot about him!” he protested, playing innocent.

“Forgot? How can you forget that you have a brother?” I retorted. “Abh go! I’ll handle this myself.”

“I can stay, you know... help you with packing,” Vedang teased, wrapping his arms around my waist again.

"Waise bhai wo- WHAT THE FUCK?!" Dev came back to say something but well yeah.

I tried pushing him away but this 6 feet something something guy won't budge.

"Abh kya hua?" Vedang asked uninterested. Dev’s mouth just hung open there and he left stomping his feet.

"Vedang!" I shouted at him.

"What he already saw us, why to hide now..and don't worry princess I'll make sure he keeps is mouth shut" he said, kissing my cheek from side.

I just hummed. "Now let me help you" he said, in his teasing voice.

“Seriously?! We just got caught! Jayeyi yaha se!” I whisper yelled, but he just pouted.

Did this coldass guy just POUT?!

"Fine fine" he said before walking away.

“This man has two times more personalities than me,” I facepalmed myself.
