"Who's that?" Dove asked Megan, who leaned close to her and whispered.
"That's Kitty, she's our classmate. She's naturally really clumsy." Megan says as Dove narrows her eyes.
"She always trips into something or the other every now and then." Hyejin adds, making Dove feel more suspicious.
At first glance, the assumption is clear. Kitty, who was sitting near the same section of the cafeteria, is known to be a little clumsy. A couple of people at nearby tables even laugh and make lighthearted comments, thinking she's the one who dropped everything.
There's a collective "Oops!" from some students as they chuckle, thinking that Kitty simply lost control of her tray.
Although she is known to be clumsy, what Dove saw was completely different from what the others saw.
Dove's gaze flickers over to where Kitty is sitting, but then she immediately notices something more telling. A girl who was nearby had a smirk on her face as she stood up.
Just a split second before the plates crash to the ground, Dove had seen the girl's hand on Kitty's back-pushing her. It's subtle, almost invisible to everyone else, but Dove could tell it wasn't an accident. That girl intentionally shoved Kitty, and as a result, Kitty lost balance and dropped everything.
Kitty laughed it off awkwardly as a girl and a boy helped her up.
Dove looks at Megan and Hyejin, who are still processing the scene, but she remains silent. She's unsure how to approach this moment. Should she speak up? Could it be seen as stirring drama? But what if no one else saw it?
Megan notices the commotion but doesn't see what Dove saw. She chuckles, thinking it's just a funny mishap. "Poor Kitty. She's always getting into these accidents, huh?"
Hyejin, ever perceptive, glances at Dove. She catches the way Dove is looking at the scene, sensing something is off. "Did you see something different?" Hyejin asks, raising an eyebrow, her tone slightly concerned.
Dove remains silent for a beat, still processing. "Yeah," she says quietly, "I think it wasn't an accident. I saw a girl push her."
"What?!" Both Megan and Hyejin exclaim loudly before covering their mouths, earning looks from the people and leaning towards me.
"Who pushed her?" Hyejin asks as I shake my head.
"I don't know her name, but she just left." I say as Megan quickly packs her bag before standing up.
"We can still find her." Megan says as Hyejin nods and stands up.
"Why are you two so eager?" I ask while standing up and packing my bag.
"My money is on Stella!" Megan whispers as she picks up all our plates and quickly returns them to the lunch ladies before running and waiting by the door, motioning me and Hyejin to hurry.
"Hurry!" She exclaims as me and Hyejin quickly head towards Megan.
Before leaving, I see Minho by Kitty's side.
He looks worried...
I shake my head to rid the negativity before walking around the hallway with the girls.
"Just you see! It's surely gonna be Stella!" Megan says quietly and secretively.
"Why are you so sure?" I ask as Hyejin stops us in a corner.
"Apparently, Minho used to like Kitty, but she rejected him. So there are rumours flying that he got into a rebound with Stella. And since we already don't like Stella, we kind of thing Stella is plotting against Kitty so that Minho won't leave her for Kitty. " Hyejin says, making me speechless.
"Okay... things escalated quickly. But I don't understand why she'd do that... and why do you two think that Minho would leave Stella for Kitty?" I ask as Megan looks around.
"I hear rumours... well, not really rumours. Just from the way Minho acts around Kitty, we just think that he might still like her." Megan says when I spot that girl around the basketball court from where we were standing by the window.
"That's her!" I say as I point towards the girl, and almost instantly, Hyejin and Megan gasp and scream in realisation, making me flinch.

Minho's
The sound of gasping and screaming made me glance toward the corridor ahead. I couldn't make out the words, but the tone-sharp, almost panicked-caught my attention.
"What's that about?" I asked, slowing down.
Q barely glanced up. "Who knows? Those two are always up to something."
Shaveena kept walking, keeping Kitty close. "Let's focus on getting Kitty cleaned up," she said, her voice calm.
I nodded but couldn't help looking again. From the corner of my eye, I saw Dove with her friends, their expressions shocked and annoyed. My steps faltered for just a second.
"Minho," Q called, "you coming?"
"Yeah," I said quickly, shaking it off. Whatever it was, it didn't involve me. Probably.
"Isn't that the girl from yesterday?" Q asked as we left the corridor, making Shaveena and Kitty perk up.
"So?" I said, trying to act nonchalant.
"The new girl?" Shaveena asked as Q nodded.
"Her name was Dove, I think." Kitty says as Shaveena nods.
"Oh yeah, the transfer student from France. She seems quite... distant." Shaveena said as Minho groaned.
"Why are all of you so bent on talking about her?" I asked, making Q chuckle.
"Cause you seem to know her, considering how she looked at you yesterday." Q said, making me glare at him as the girls looked at each other.
"Minho, you know her?" Kitty asked, making me sigh.
"Look, it's nothing alright? She's just trying to impress me." I say as Shaveena nodded, but still not trusting my words.
"Uh huh..." She said when we heard footsteps behind us. I turned to see Dove being pulled by Megan and Hyejin.
"Hey, Min Hoeee!" Megan said and chuckled before taking out a bag of wet wipes and tissues. "Kitty, here you go. Wipe out the stains before they dry. "Bye, Min Hoee~." She teased and catched up with Dove and Hyejin.
I roll my eyes at Megan's version of my name.
"That girl is insufferable." I say as Kitty, Q, and Shaveena disagree.
"Megan is really sweet!" Kitty says, making me shake my head.
"She's not bad. You just don't like her cause she doesn't give you the attention you receive from most girls." Q says, making me groan.
"Megan and Hyejin are a little crazy but they're not too bad." Shaveena adds as I shake my head and leave.
"You three are insufferable, too." I say before leaving and walking back to class.

That's it for this chapter!
The next chapter might be a little dramatic, nothing too dramatic, though ð¥¹ð
Be warned, though. The coming chapters will contain lots of arguments and breakdowns.
