"Was your coffee good at least?" Jess asks me, my eyes focused on the road before us.

"Mediocre," I say simply, pressing down gradually, causing the car to come to a stop at the traffic light which turned red as soon as the car came to a full stop. In all honesty, I normally would've just sped up to save myself time, but the person in front of me was driving 15 mph under the speed limit. And I don't think Jess would appreciate it very much if I risked her life in a car.

My phone dings in the cup holder next to me, signaling I received a text message.

"I'll get it," Jess says quickly, reaching down to pick up my phone from the center console area.  "Safety first. No texting and driving." She looks at it intently before looking over at me with a smirk. "It's your lover boy."

"What did he say?" I ask, looking over at her, the light still red and cars still driving at full speed in the opposite direction.

"I don't know. You have your text previews turned off," she reminds me. She holds the phone in my direction. "Here, look at me."

I turn my head further in her direction, trying to get my phone to recognize my face. It fails the first time, so I tilt my head in a full circle, hoping it would catch it somehow. But it sadly didn't.

"Ugh, it's not working," Jess complains, drawing the phone back. "What's your password?"

"121919," I tell her, turning my attention back to the road, even though the light was still red. She presumably types my passcode in, her nail clacking against the phone screen as she taps.

"Oh, Mr. Styles sent you an image," she says.

I quickly lean over, nervous to see what kind of image Harry sent me...especially with Jess being the one holding my phone. She opens up the message and I hold my breath.

But that breath was quickly released out in a sigh of relief as my eyes land on the picture Harry sent me. I see the three little dots pop up below the picture, showing he was typing. Within a matter of seconds, his message pops up, making my heart melt once I read it.

"Awwww," Jess gushes before I get the chance to.

I smile down at my phone in admiration, laughing slightly. Only Harry would send me a picture of two cats cuddling saying it was us.

In the corner of my eye, I can see the cars driving the opposite direction come to a stop, meaning my light would turn green soon. I turn my attention to the road, ready to press down on the gas at any second.

"What do you want me to send back?" She asks, gripping my phone firmly in her hands.

"Umm," I think out loud. The light switches to green and I push down softly on the gas pedal. "I'll just respond when we stop again."

"You can't just leave him on read." She scoffs. "You have to say something."

"I don't know." I shrug, finding it a little difficult to focus on the road and come up with a reply at the same time. "Just send like a heart or something."

"You're so lame," she says, tapping a couple of times before shutting my phone off, placing it back in the cupholder. We both stay silent for a few moments before she speaks up. "Is he always like this?"

"Like what?" I ask.

"So...cute and sweet," she says, confusion written in her voice.

"I mean...yeah." I shrug. "He's just a nice person in general, so I don't really see him ever not being sweet."

"Do you see you guys ever breaking up?" She asks, but I could tell it was just her being curious.

"Well does anyone ever see themselves breaking up with their significant other?" I ask, laughing awkwardly.

"Are you scared of it though?" She continues to drill at me.

"I mean, yeah. That's kind of a given though." I shrug. "Aren't you scared of breaking up with Jackson?"

"Yeah, I guess." She shrugs as well, her voice lowering.

"Well tell me, Jessica The Wise," I say jokingly. "What do your spidey senses tell you? Will Harry and I break up?"

"I don't," she says, turning to look at me. "I was thinking about this the other day, actually. I don't have a good feeling or bad feeling it's just like...I don't have any feeling."

"So what? There's just some sort of...block?" I ask, feeding into her 'psychic' delusion for a second.

"Maybe...I'm not sure," she says, tilting her head to the side. "But it's weird. This has never happened before."

"We broke you." I laugh. There's a moment of silence before Jess inhales a deep breath, preparing to speak up.

"Are you gonna tell Harry about Camille?" She changes the subject. I sigh in response.

"I don't know." I sigh. "Probably...eventually...but I'm just not sure when. What do you think I should do?"

"That's a tough one." Jess inhales sharply. "On the one hand, I don't think you should ever keeping anything from Harry, that's bad for your relationship...trust me. But then, on the other hand, I feel like knowing that you ran into Camille might weird him out somehow." She sighs. "Do you think he's over her at least?"

"I mean, they've been broken up for a while," I say, tilted my head to the side as I stare at the tail lights of the car in front of me. "And he's moved on. So, I think so?"

I could only assume Harry was over Camille. He almost never brought her up, but when he did, he seemed comfortable talking about it. Like it was just another chapter in his story that he was reading to me.

And he and I are together. If it was me, and I wasn't over someone I dated, I wouldn't be starting a new relationship. That wouldn't be fair to the other person...or to myself.

"From what I've observed, I think he's over her. He's had time to heal and move on from her. You two are together now anyway," Jess says, almost like she's reading my mind. She sighs.  "I'd hate to ever accuse Harry of it, but there are people who start a new relationship in an attempt to get over their last one."

"Do you think that's what Harry's doing?" I feel my stomach drop, my nervous tendencies getting the best of me.

"No," she says simply. "I've seen the way he looks at you when you're not looking. There's no way he'd ever use you to get over someone else. There's something more."

After a short moment, I let out a groan. "God, I wish you could tell me what's going to happen."

"Look Lils, I get that you don't want to get hurt," she begins. "But...you can't fly unless you let yourself fall." She looks over at me, but I don't dare look back. "You've just gotta do whatever it is that your heart is telling you to do."

I sigh, hating how she always had to be right. I turn right at an intersection, turning to drive up Harry's street.
