Adore You Too [H.S]1,653 words~9 min read

I rip off the wrapping paper, now having opened three gifts from Jess.

"This one's from Harry," Jess informs me as the wrapping paper reveals a plain white box, one that usually would hold clothing. Knowing this was from Harry made my anticipation peak, excitement flooding through my veins. Harry takes the wrapping paper from me, balling it up in his hands.

I lift open the box, handing Harry the lid as well. The first thing to catch my eye was a big, red star. I then focused on the denim surrounding it. I couldn't help but gasp after lifting the gift out of the box.

It was a pair of jeans. But not just any pair of jeans. These jeans were almost identical to the ones Harry and I saw a girl wearing in Anguilla. The same ones Harry was horrified by someone wearing to the beach.

"Oh my god," I say, ecstasy making my head feel like it was floating. "Where did you find these?!?"

"When I was out exploring," he tells me with a wide smile. "I saw them and thought they were cool. Then I remembered you said you liked that girl's in Anguilla, so I had to get them for you. I asked Jess for your bottom size and had to wait like half an hour for her to reply."

I felt like crying I was so happy. These were probably going to be my favorite jeans I owned. They were absolutely beautiful.

"Thank you so much, H!" I quickly wrap my arms around Harry's neck, pulling him into a hug. He rubs my back as he softly chuckles.

I knew for a fact Jordan was watching...I could feel her beady little eyes burning into my back.

"Okay." Harry pats my back, signaling for me to let go of him. "Open the next one."

I gladly release him, now more eager than ever to see what else he had gotten me. So far, Harry's gifts have been the best and I've only opened one.

"Can I have another one, Jess?" I ask politely. Even with how excited I was, I didn't want to seem demanding. She nods happily and looks over the remaining gifts.

"Let's go for the big one," she suggests, reaching for the biggest present over it. She drags it over, with seeming ease, considering how large the packaging was. Jess sets it in front of me and I immediately begin to rip the paper off.

"The second to biggest one also goes with this one," Harry advises Jess and she slides the other one toward me to open next.

Next to me, Jordan leans back, letting her upright posture fall. Her arms were folded over her stomach and she looked like a little kid pouting in timeout.

Under the wrapping paper was a box, obviously. A Gucci box. I felt my heart both sink and melt at the same time as I stared down at it in awe. There was a designer item in here...something from a brand I've never owned anything from. After a moment, I slowly and hesitantly lifted the lid off.

A smile was brought to my face once again as I got the full view of my second gift from Harry.

A suitcase.

"I figured since yours broke in London, you needed a new one," he explains the reasoning behind the gift. I look over at him, literal tears brimming my eyes. All he could do was smile. "I had to drive all the way to Aspen to find a Gucci."

"You didn't have to get Gucci," I mumble, looking back down at the suitcase. I couldn't believe this was my suitcase now.

"Open the other one," Harry instructs, pointing to the other box.

He didn't have to tell me twice. I scoot the suitcase to the side, doing so insanely cautiously. I rip the wrapping paper off the next present, revealing another Gucci box. I look over at Harry giving him a side-eye with a smile still stretching my lips. I opened the box, revealing another bag.

This bag had the same pattern as the other one, but it was slightly smaller and different in size.

"You always need a matching carryon." Harry shrugs. I lay my head on his shoulder for a brief moment, almost like a mini hug.

"Want the next one, Lili?" Jess speaks up, causing me to sigh and widen my eyes. I've only opened two of the gifts, and they were already incredible. I was both nervous and excited for the remainder of the gifts.

"I guess," I say, chuckling. She reaches over and grabs a bag this time. This was the only bag over there, other than Jess's, but those were already opened.

She sets the bag in front of me and I lift it up onto my lap. The bag wasn't too heavy, but it wasn't necessarily light for the size of the bag. I remove the tissue paper, revealing the inside.

I pulled out t-shirt after t-shirt until the bag was emptied.

"I may or may not have gone a little crazy in the Gucci store," Harry says sheepishly. "Initially, I went in there to buy myself something, but I saw so many pieces that I knew would look good on you...and I just couldn't pass it up."

"Harry," I say, at a loss of words. I felt bad that he was spending all this money on me. And I knew it was most definitely a lot because everything so far has been Gucci.

"Ready for the next one?" Jess asks, already holding the wrapped box in her hands.

"I-I guess," I mutter, nervous to see what else Harry spent his hard-earned money to buy me. Why did I feel almost...guilty?

She passes me the box and I hesitantly tear off the wrapping paper.  Underneath was a shoebox.

I turned to Harry, a confused look on my face. He nods, urging me to continue. So I do, turning back to the box and lifting up the top.

Saying my jaw dropped would be an understatement. Inside the box was a pair of boots that would make the boots jealous.

"Harry!" I gasp, my body freezing. I felt like screaming I loved the boots so much.

"You needed to add to your collection." He shrugs. I bounce up and down excitedly, inaudible screams coming out of my mouth. By now, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much in the past few minutes.

"Where did you even find these?!" I ask, picking one of the boots up cautiously.

"You know that vintage thrift store your always talking about?" He asks and I nod vigorously. "Well I decided to check it out, and there these were sitting... all the in the very back of the store."

"They're beautiful," I say, still staring at them in awe.

Jess stands up and Harry looks up at her, shooting her a confused look.

"Is that all?" He asks, furrowing his eyebrows. I didn't care to look away from the boots... they just kept my attention.

"Yeah," she says, walking into the kitchen. "Let's eat cake now!"

"Where's the r-" Harry mumbles, cutting himself off. "I'll be back," he excuses himself before standing up. He walks out of the living room and to the stairs.

"I need to use the bathroom anyway," Jordan says, standing up as well.

"Didn't ask," I whisper to myself. I replace the lid of the shoebox and set it down by the pile of the rest of my presents. I push myself up off the couch before joining Jess in the kitchen. I sit down on a barstool across from where she placed a small, circular cake

"What kind of cake did you guys decide on?" I ask out of curiosity, resting my elbows on the countertop.

"Funfetti," she says and I cringe. She laughs at my reaction, shaking her head. "No, we got cookies and cream." My mouth watered at the sight of the cake. "I wanted the s'mores cake, but Harry said he's allergic to marshmallows."

"This will be perfect," I say, staring down at it, feeling hungry.

"What's your boyfriend doing?" Jess grabs a package of candles, rolling her eyes.

"I don't know," I laugh, "Getting something I guess."

"Well can you go get him?" She asks, seemingly annoyed. "I want cake and he'll get upset if we start without him."

"Sure." I laugh once again, sliding off the barstool.

Harry's POV

I stare down at the small black velvet box.

I hope she wouldn't take it the wrong way. I saw them and I liked it for myself, but the matching one made my mind for me.

As I fiddle with the tiny box, a pair of smaller hands touch my biceps, trailing up to my shoulders. A smirk comes across my lips at the feeling of her standing so closely behind me.

"You weren't supposed to see this yet," I say, turning around. A gasp fell from my lips at the sight before me.

"See what?" The redhead asks innocently.

The things this woman has done to Lili made me automatically dislike her. I didn't even have to get to know her to know how bad of a person she'd have to be to put anyone, let alone Lili, through something like that.

I shove the box deep into my pocket to hide it from Jordan.

I'd expected her to say something further. But that's when she grabbed me by the sides of my head, pulling my lips down onto hers, catching me completely off guard.

Her grip was strong, making it more difficult than I'd expected to get away from her. But just before I got the chance to pull away, I see the door open out of the corner of my eye.

Then the horrified look on Lili's face.
