My mouth was wide open as I took in the man before me.He had a curly mop of curls on his head,tall,tan,some elderly wrinkles around his light hazel eyes,and he was standing next to Lauren.
My eyes shifted from him to my smiling ex mother,then they went back to him like a dance between my eyes and them.They look just alike except he looks older by a few years but other than that the resemblance is uncanny.
"Lauren who is this?"I asked waiting for an answer while eyeing this stranger.His eyebrows rose when I addressed her by Lauren.She just shook her head at him before sending a smile my way.
She placed a hand on his shoulder before saying,"Jadah this is my brother Liam.Remember the one I told you about?"She asked,my mind drifted back to the hospital when she told me of her older brother and sister.My eyes widened in shock,
"Oh okay but how come you're here?"I asked him tilting my head to the side.
He chuckled before his face went serious,"I'm here to help you guys defeat Talen."He said making my eyes widen.
I was flabbergasted,"W-well shouldn't you be out there helping them?!"I yelled throwing my hands upwards towards the ceiling where my family and pack are.I inhaled and exhaled taking deep breaths when they shushed me.Some of the sleeping children stirred in their sleep.I eyes the last little girl with long black hair as she stopped stirring with one last deep breath before she relaxed.
When I calmed down I looked back to the two siblings in front of me.One thing that had me bursting with relief was that we have help.
"The light from within defeats the darkness with the help of kin"I heard Amaris whisper in my head,my eyes widened.
I totally forgot about what grandma Vega said.Now it makes sense.He's the help to defeat Talen,but I have yet to figure out what the light with in is.
Maybe it's that weird light that came-
"Jadah we need to come up with a plan to help your pack."Liam said before removing his brown jacket,revealing arms full of muscles and a long ghastly scar that started from the top of his shoulder and ended right above his wrist.
Both me and Lauren's eyes widened as our eyes zeroed in on the large scar on his arm which looked like he recently got into a match to the death.I tried my hardest to ignore it but I was curious about it,I didn't ponder too long before I waddled to the bed and slowly lowered myself on it while holding my belly.
When I was comfortable enough I gave them both my full attention,
"So I've seen what Talen can do,sickening.He's been crossing nearby territory's recruiting wolves to help him fight and when they refuse he threatens or kills them.It depends on how he feels."He said which made my eyebrows rise.
"How does he know?Wouldn't Talen have caught him if he did?Talen isn't stupid I'm sure of it so I'm pretty sure he would've known if he was being spied on."I thought to myself,I felt Amaris nod in agreement within me which made me place a hand protectively over my babies.Who is this guy?
When a hand grabbed my hand I was broken out of my reverie.I looked to my left and saw Lauren holding my hand but was still facing her brother.I eyed her curiously before facing her brother and lightly squeezing her hand.
"How did you see what Talen has done without being caught?"I asked eyeing him.He turned to me with a blank expression before he smiled.
"I'm a rogue.I get around,but that's not important right now we need to focus on getting outside this room."He said before getting up and heading over to the hatch.
When I couldn't see him I turned to my mo-Lauren who was looking at me with the same suspicious expression.
Our silent conversation was interrupted by Liam,
"Y'all coming or are you just gonna sit there staring at each other?"He asked giving us a playful smile which caused Amaris to squirm with suspiciousness.
"I don't trust him."She stated growling lowly in my head.Her protectively mother instincts were kicking in which only made mine sharper. My eyes never left his big figure that was still watching us but eventually our stare down came to an end when he climbed the ladder to the upper room.
I wiggled off the bed with the help of Lauren and steadily stood up holding my tummy.I started walking over to the ladder but when a small hand clasped around my wrist I stopped.I looked down and my eyes caught the chocolate brown eyes of my little sister.
They held worry and suspicion in them.She tugged me down until I was really close to her and she was near my ear,
"Jay I don't trust him,I know you won't wait around but I'm gonna count to 100.Mind link me and tell me your okay,okay?"She asked with worry and boldness in her big brown eyes.
I gave her a small smile before my lips went into a thin line and I gave her a nod.Relief flooded her features before she blew out a breath and leaned up and kissed my cheek.She lifted my shirt up and kissed my belly twice before she whispered "I love you" and she laid down.
She released my wrist before staring up at me."I love you Jay.Be careful with my niece and nephew."She warned pointing her small index finger at me.I let out a small laugh,
"I will Gin,I'll mind link you as soon as I get to 100."I said before I heard another voice.
"Come on Jadah!"I heard Lauren whisper loudly to me.
I turned to look back at her and nodded before I glanced at Gin once more and began to waddle towards the ladder.
I started my count as soon as I went up the ladder,
"One....."
~Gingers POV~
Two,Three,Four,Five,Six.. You know what forget this!
I hopped up from my uncomfortable bed,and threw the covers on the floor.I took the stretchy headband from around my wrist and put my red puffy hair in a ponytail.
"That's why when I get older I'm cutting this all....off!"I whispered harshly when I couldn't get my hair through the third loop.
When it finally went through I huffed in annoyance and got on my hands and knees and reached under the bed where my clothes and boots were hiding.I hastily slid them on.
Martin always said expect the unexpected and that's just what I did.Whose to say that I wouldn't have needed these things?
My face frowned when I thought about my mommy,daddy,uncles,and brothers about to risk their lives to protect us.I found a new determination,that thought alone fueled my fire to go and find my family.
I looked around to make sure everyone was sleep before I quietly tip toed over to the ladder,careful not to wake anyone up.I was just putting my foot on the bar when something or someone grabbed my sweater.
My head snapped down where I saw my best friend in her sweats,long black sleeved shirt,and her boots that matched mine.Her hair was in a braid going down her back and she was wiping the slob,ewww from her mouth and sleep from her eyes.
I let out a silent giggle before smiling down at her,"Your getting better Kate I didn't even hear you."I said smiling,thinking of how far she's come before my family trained her.The whole reason for me being on this ladder interrupted my thoughts."Now come on my sister is in trouble."I whispered before hastily climbing up the ladder,with her following right behind.
When I got to the top I pulled her up and looked around.
"I remember Malachi pulling a handle on this wall to shut it."I muttered to myself using my night vision to look for the handle.
My eyes stopped roaming when I saw the rusty thing hanging from the wall.I smiled victoriously before quickly walking over to it and pulling it but it barely budged.
I looked behind me at Kate,"Don't just stand there help me!"I shouted snapping her out of her daydream,She got behind me and pulled with me.
I put my foot on the wall and pushed off of it,it moved a little before it flew open and we flew off with the handle.
"Owwww."I groaned rubbing my head but my hair stopped most of the damage.I stood up and threw the rusty detached handle before bending down and pulling Kate up and walking through the wall.I turned around and we pushed the wall silently back in place using our backs.
When we were done I noticed Rosa my fox was close to being done with the count.
"80,81,82,83,84,85,86,87,88,89,90"She chanted,filling me up with adrenaline.
"Come on Gin we have to go!"Kate whispered before pulling my hand and taking off.My feet were barley keeping up and I almost tripped because how fast she is so I picked up my speed to catch up with her.

~Jadah's POV~
"91,92,93,94,95,96,97,98,99,100"Amaris finished looking around in my head.
"Gins probably awake checking on everyone."I said in my head when I heard Amaris scoff.
"Gin is not one to sit around while you're out with this man,especially after she just told you how she feels about him."She said making me groan on the inside.
Gin and Georgie are two of a kind.They want to be where the action is,they refuse to wait around when there's a fight or action is going on.They have to be apart of it.
I focused my attention back on the empty hallways we were walking in.I looked around and felt a hint of sadness wash over me when I thought about how this place was before all this crap started.
Kids were running around,the family was talking and sitting in the kitchen telling jokes and just eating away the time.I most importantly miss Mal.My handsome mate who is about to risk his life soon.Its about 2:00a.m and I know their either in the office working on strategies or outside patrolling.I would give anything to have his warm protective arms around me while he makes me laugh or rubs my stomach affectionately.
Right now if he was here he would probably be talking to our little prince and princess in there and making sure I'm not walking around.Who am I kidding?The first thing he's do would be pick me up and scold me walking up the stairs.
I sighed wistfully out loud before looking down at the beige carpeted floor.Lauren laid her hand on my shoulder and I could feel her giving me a sympathetic smile.
"Okay so let's go over the plan one more time."Liam said before coming to a complete stop and looking at us.
My eyes looked up at him and I suddenly felt anger and hatred towards him.I don't know where it's coming from but I want to hurt him so badly right now.I start to feel the tingling run through me all the way from my head to my finger tips but I clenched my fists,trying to suppress it.
I feel the babies kick inside of me before the feeling is stronger.
"Jadah are you okay?"I hear Lauren say but I can't even focus because Its taking everything within me not to release my power.
"Rainna and Ryker calm down babies."I whisper to myself before placing my hand on my stomach and rubbing it soothingly.
I opened my eyes as the tingling and need to cause him pain ceased.I looked around and saw Lauren watching me with a worried look.Liam only stared at me intensely as he looked down at my belly which only made me more wary around him.I stood up straight and blew out a breath I hadn't realized I was holding.
"I'm fine but there's one thing I need to do before we carry out with this plan."I announced rubbing my belly.
"What is that Jadah?"Liam asked trying his hardest not to show his annoyance but I simply walked towards the metal door that lead to the basement.
-Malachi-
I was sitting at my desk tugging and pulling on my hair.Im so stressed and pissed off that it took several occasions where everyone had to hold me down until my wolf calmed down.
Ryder has been on edge every hour because we're away from our angel he needs and wants to be near his mate and pups.He's been pacing around and growling inside me since we left her.He has a funny feeling and he just wants to protect her.
"Malachi you here with us?"Jax asks snapping his fingers in my face gaining my attention.He looks just as stressed but with Sophia here you can barely tell.
I envy him because his mate is here and he can hold her but I can't because she's in that fucking room!
I felt my nails and teeth emerge from my skin and my eyes bleed black.I stood up and growled lowly,that alone put everyone on high alert as they waited for my next move.I squeezed my eyes closed tightly holding him back with all my might.
"Ryder you have to calm down!We can't protect our angels if you can't keep it cool!"I shouted inside of my head which made him growl at me.I felt my claws and teeth return back to me as he gave me some control.
"Must....protect mate!Must protect pups!"He growled coming back stronger fighting for control.
I stood up as I felt my teeth and claws come back out.
"Ryder if you have another episode your inconveniencing everyone if they have to hold you back.I want our angel too but she's safe that's all that matters.We have to stay calm so they can help us protect her and our pups."I reasoned calming him down enough so he gave me some control but he was still holding on.
"Restrain yourself Ryder so we can protect our babies and angel.We can't do that if we can't control ourselves.Just think about sinking our teeth and claws in Talen for trying to harm our pack and family."I said,he growled approvingly imagining taking Talens life for trying to harm our angel and pups.
He reluctantly gave me full control before he sunk back into the recesses of my mind.He growled before throwing his self on the ground and closing his eyes.
I blew out a sigh of relief along with the others in the room which made us all chuckle.It felt good to have some laughter run through this tension filled room.I plopped down in my chair before exhaustedly sinking down into it relaxing and closing my eyes.
Jaxs' deep voice filled my ears which made me open my eyes.
"Son get out.Your stressed and being in this office for so long will drive anyone crazy."He said chuckling softly,
"Aren't you guys tired of this office too?"I asked curiously sitting up in my plush leather chair.
"Yeah but we're okay."He said gazing lovingly at his wife who was helping out with the strategies.
I felt the burning of envy in my chest which made Ryder growl loudly.I hastily stood up and made my way out of the room before I lost my shit again.
When I was out of my office I blew out a breath before stressfully running my fingers through my hair.
"I just wanna get to my angel and pups.Is that too much to ask for?"I asked sadly to myself before I began roaming the eerie hallways of the now quiet pack house.
I was staring down at the beige carpet when a whiff of something sweet caught my attention.I looked up and began taking in large sniffs of the mouth watering scent before I felt my eyes dilate and twitch.
"Jadah."I growled with a load of force before I took off down the hall and stopped at the basement door where her scent hit me in the face.
An angry yet happy mixed smirk covered my face before I yanked open the door and sprinted down the basement steps taking them three at a time.
I came to the first door where I pushed it open and I was engulfed by the chilly stale air of the basement but one thing was on my mind.
Jadah.
I sprinted down the hall ignoring the pleads of the prisoners in the cells before I came to the third door which only made me colder but I only picked up the pace when I thought about how Jadah must feel.I walked down the hall some more before I spotted her standing there holding her bulging belly but something was off.
I smelled another scent and the look in her eyes was something wicked mixed with a little suspicion.I looked around and saw her mother well ex mother,and a tall man who was glaring at the cell they were near.
A low growl ripped from my throat grabbing all of their attention but the one thing that grabbed my attention the most was those beautiful mysterious hazel eyes of my angel.I felt my face form into a smile before I growled lowly at her.
I was stalking my way over to her but she ran to me while holding her stomach before her arms were around my neck and her face in my chest.My movement stopped before my arms instinctly wrapped around her pulling her closer to me careful of her stomach.I inhaled her relaxing scent of honey and Jasmine's before I pulled back.
"Jadah why are you out of-"I was cut off by her soft pink lips which moved against my still ones hungrily but they weren't still for long.Mine moved just as hungrily against hers if not more before she pulled back making me growl a bit.
When I came back to my senses anger and protectiveness filled my eyes.
"Why are you out of the safe room?"I asked in a deep voice,watching her face go red and she tucked her lip between her teeth.
"Jadah."I growled out her name and watched her shiver before she sighed.
"We were coming to help you guys fight."she answered making my blood boil.My hold tightened on her before I felt Ryder growling looking around becoming more protective than ever.
When his eyes caught sight of the man near the cell he growled.He became more suspicious when he noticed the man glaring appallingly at the cell he was next to.I squeezed Jadah tighter.
I looked down at my beautiful mate who was already staring at me with a knowing expression.
"Angel who is that?"I asked watching how she smiled when I called her angel before her face became stoic.
"He's Lauren's older brother,Liam.He gives me weird vibes though.He knows too much."She answered confirming Ryder's suspicions.No wonder Ryder was on edge.
I looked back at the man who was now looking at us with a small smile which made Ryder growl and claw.I looked the man up and down when my eyes stopped on the big scar going down his arm ending at his wrist.
"Hello I'm Liam."He said coming closer which made me react by pushing him up against the wall by his shirt.
He held his arms up in surrender but behind his eyes I could see the anger he terribly tried to suppress.He let out a chuckle which came out weird,
"Let him go alpha Malachi."Lauren pleaded,
I glared at this man before a growl ripped from my throat,
"Why are you on my land rogue?"I asked,my glare never wavering.Scrunching my nose up when I caught the whiff of something rotten.
"Listen to Lauren and let me go.That is if you want my help."He retorted like we need his help.
"We didn't need your help before and we don't need it now."I answered menacingly.
"He has powers too.He can help."I turned around and looked at Lauren.
"What do you mean he has powers too?"I asked mockingly.
"She means he's like me.He has abilities too."I heard my mates melodious voice answer.
I turned around too late when I felt electricity run through my body before I flew off of him.I heard footsteps run well more like waddle to me before my angel was above me with a worried expression.
"Mal are you okay?"She asked worriedly running her hands over my face and body.
I let out a dry cough before I gave her a lopsided smile.I heard the rubbing of hands together before I heard a chuckle.
"Told you to let me go,but you disregarded everything I said."He said walking over to us,
I rolled my eyes before I sat up and rubbed my head while looking around.I seen Lauren staring at Liam in terror before shock.Jadah looked in the same direction analyzing his expression as well before her face balled up and her fists clenched.
I instantly grabbed her wrapping my arms around her,"Jadah what's wrong?"I asked in a panic.
She inhaled and exhaled before I felt her buzzing,like the buzzing she gets when she uses her powers.
My eyes widened and my mouth parted,"Jadah no powers,remember what the doctor said."I reminded her wrapping my hands around her little fists.
"Rainna and......R-Ryker have been.......M-messing with my.....powers."She answered rubbing her belly soothingly.
I was confused because I had no clue babies could mess with your powers,but I don't have powers or have I ever had a baby well babies!So I'm totally clueless.
Lauren broke out of her thoughts when she noticed my angels buzzing become worse and her eyes were changing color like a bright blue almost white.
Next thing I know Liam's flying in the air clutching his chest.
"Angel!"
