I was in my room getting dressed in nothing formal just casual to greet the DarkKnight Pack in. I slid on an Adidas sweatsuit and some shoes. I tousled my hair a bit before heading to my bathroom. Ever since that little stunt Kim pulled, she has been getting the cold shoulder. I just have to make the DarkKnight Pack believe she's my mate before we go our separate ways again.
I brushed my teeth and debated on whether or not to put on cologne. I just went with one spritz of it before I walked out of my room. I seen Kim wearing a tiny dress barely covering her ass, and 5 inch high stilettos. She grinned at me seductively before swaying away, her Chanel perfume burning my nostrils. I immediately walked away from the foul stench and into the kitchen where I seen Kelsey eating alone at the table while the other kids played.
I walked over to where she was before sitting down,"How come you aren't playing with the kids?" I asked her. She sighed before speaking,
"I just want to be by myself." She shrugged and I nodded understanding.
I grabbed an apple while waiting for Leo or Bobby to mind-link me that the pack was here.
"Alpha?" Leo frantically asked. I stopped eating.
"What is it?" I asked feeling nervous, we won't survive another attack.
"They're here." He said to me and I physically blew out a breath.
"Okay let them through." I said before cutting off our link. I threw away my apple before taking Kelseys hand in mine and walking out the kitchen.
"Everyone they're here!" I yelled making everyone scramble out of their rooms outside. I lead Kelsey outside and waited.
Soon about 5 black escalades were coming down the road into the drive way. I smelt something sweet hit my nose when five tall boys walked out the car. They had sunglasses on and muscles bigger than my own. I'm guessing the Alpha is the tall broad man with piercing green eyes, and locks. He was holding the hand of a little girl with big, curly red hair. She was smiling and had a few missing teeth.
She was adorable and was playing with the alpha who had a genuine smile on his face but when she noticed me she whispered in his ear, real low so not even a werewolf could hear. He nodded his head and when she turned back to me her eyes were glowing a gold color before she tried to charge at me. I jumped back a little startled by her sudden change in attitude.
He picked her up as her teeth were sharpening and she was kicking. He placed her on his neck where she calmed down enough so her canines were dulling into human teeth but her eyes kept flashing gold. More men came out I'm guessing his beta, and Gamma, they were scary just like him.
I could feel the fear radiating off of my pack but that just made the DarkKnight Pack smile evilly. I was brought out of my thoughts by The alpha,
"Hello I am Alpha Jax. Alpha of the DarkKnight Pack." His voice was dangerous and dark giving me goosebumps like the ones from the phone call. He held out his hand for me to shake and I grabbed it and shook It firmly but he was squeezing mine a little too tightly making me wince. I heard his pack chuckle when they noticed my reaction. I released his hand feeling confused as to why he's acting like I pissed in his cereal.
"This is my beta, Martin." Martin stood tall, a scary man with black hair and piercing blue eyes. "My Gamma Levi" Levi was just as scary but with brown hair and black eyes.
"My sons ,Tyler" Tyler was taller than me with brown and green eyes just like his father, "Kendall and Anthony,"He pointed to two boys with orange and brown hair, "The twins Max and Sam." He said and they were tall with blonde hair but Sam had blue eyes and Max had brown eyes. They were wearing the same thing as Ginger. I nodded my head but they were all glaring at me.
"You've met my youngest daughter. Ginger." He said and they all chuckled. She was still eyeing me viciously but cracked a smile when her dad introduced her. She's fiery like her red hair.
"And my daughters." He said, then Ginger growled at me,
"Ginger Knight. Calm yourself." He said sternly and she huffed before closing her eyes and when she opened them they were a warm brown. She looked down at Kelsey who was shaking and smiled her toothless grin at her. Kelsey was hesitant but smiled back.
I heard a smack coming from behind the boys and a sweet scent filled my nose making my mouth water.
"Ouch." Someone muttered from behind them, sending a shiver up my spine then I heard a snicker. I noticed the boys had smiles on their faces and so did the Alpha, Ginger, and his Beta and Gamma. The boys were being moved to the side and two girls came out. They were both holding hands but the one blonde hair stood out to me the most.
She had a black Nike crop top on showing her 6 pack, some Jean shorts that showed off her long legs, some black and white Jordan's, and she had two big Blonde puffs on the side of her head but her brown eyes are what stood out to me, so familiar yet so foreign. Bottom line was, she's beautiful. I couldn't believe the attraction I had for her. I've only been this attracted to Jadah.
"I'm Georgia Heart Knight eldest daughter." She said, I couldn't even pay her my attention, my eyes were glued to the blonde haired angel with chocolate eyes. When she stepped forward I got butterflies,
"I'm Jay, Jadah Love Knight. Your trainer. Surprise." She said smirking with jazz hands. I heard gasps from my pack then it hit me. It was Jadah.
My jaw hit the ground. No wonder her eyes looked so familiar. She changed a lot! She's so beautiful and blonde. There's no way that's her, there's no way she's the trainer. She looks harmless but still so dangerously fine.
"Jadah?" She nodded her head, I took a small step forward and the guys around her growled warningly at me, but that didn't stop me. Then my body moved on its own accord, as quick as lightning she was in my arms. I savored the moment of her body pressed against mine. I couldn't believe it, it was actually her! I let her Jasmines and Honey scent consume me it was the real thing, not a flannel, and I felt something stir inside of me. I placed my head on top of her head never wanting to let go-
Before I knew it my arm was twisted and I was pinned to the ground with a furious Jadah on top of me. Her knees were on my chest and her eyes were flashing from brown to that painfully familiar electric blue.
"Don't you ever, touch me again." She growled in my face, I growled shocking myself and the pack.
"You are mine!" I roared in a deep voice that can only be acclaimed as Ryder's. I thrashed around under her but her grip was too strong for me. My wolf isn't back. So I'm as weak as a human.
After looking into my eyes one last time she pushed up off of me leaving me laying in the grass. She walked over to Tyler and let him comfort her.
I felt furious he got to touch my mate. I got off the ground and glared at Tyler who just smirked before stroking Jadahs back. I growled at him and Jadah turned her head around to look at me with her brown eyes, pain in them before they went back hard. She then rolled her eyes before stepping out of Tyler's arms and walking over to Kendall.
"Kendall I'm starving." She sighed dramatically and laid her head on his shoulder.
"I know Jay. But I'm glad you kicked his ass for touching you." I heard him whisper to her. She just shook her head.
"You know Jax is gonna kick your ass right?" He said, she sighed and shook her head. My eyes were huge,
Is he abusing her?
"Are we just gonna stand out here all day while you stare at my little sister or are you gonna take us inside?" Georgia asked sighing irritatedly, they all laughed at her smart ass comment. She had truly replaced us. When I looked at Jadah she was laughing and talking with one of the twins. I couldn't help that sliver of jealousy that ran through me so I rolled my eyes,
"Okay follow me inside." I said still holding on to Kelseys hand as I led them into the mansion. I heard struggling before I seen a red blur in the corner of my eye. I looked down and saw Ginger holding Kelseys hand.
"I'm ginger what's your name?" She asked smiling. Kelsey smiled and gave her a big smile back before speaking,
"I'm Kelsey, I love your hair."She said and hesitantly reached over and touched one of Gingers frizzy curls.
"Thanks I love yours too," She played with one of Kelseys thick ponytails,"My moms hair color is just like mine but lighter."She shrugged as we continued to walk.
I led them up to my office, and I took a seat at the head of the table while they filled up the rest of the empty seats. Jadah was sandwiched between Anthony and Kendall as they were talking, Ginger and Kelsey never split up and was in the corner of my office playing with Jax glancing at Ginger every few minutes. Georgia sat between the twins and Alpha Jax, Tyler, Martin, and Levi were together.
I was watching Jadah speak when I guess she felt my stare and glanced at me. I felt my heart thumping against my chest as her brown eyes held my blues. She was the first to break eye contact before Jax cleared his throat.
"So where is your Luna?" He inquired. As if on cue Kim stumbled in and grinned at the boys then came and sat near me.
"....Here she is. Kim meet the DarkKnight Pack." I said placing an arm around her, she smiled and waved at them. Georgia laughed,
"And what are you laughing at?" Kim asked with an attitude and I heard all the guys mutter,"Oh shit".
"I'm laughing because he rejected my little sister for you." She said simply.
"And who is your little sister?" Kim asked bored.
"Me." I heard Jadah's strong voice say. We looked at her, Kim's mouth was wide open.
"Jadah?" She asked in disbelief.
"In the flesh." Jadah said checking her nail bed. Kim smirked,
"It's nice to see that the coward came back." Kim sneered, Jadah laughed a humorless laugh.
"You have no reason to be threatened love, I'm here to train your pack, and go back home." She smirked laughing at Kim show her ugly.
Taking a minute before smiling,"You want to see my mark? I got it a while ago but I still can't help but admire it still." She pulled down her dress strap and turned around showing them the two silver wolves and a moon. Jadah's eyes turned an electric blue and at an abnormal speed she had Kim up against the wall by her neck with her feet dangling.
"Let's not forget who his true mate is. If I wanted him I could have him and that fake ass mark would fade away just like you."She seethed. Kim's face was turning a blue and purple color as she clawed at Jadah's hand. Everyone rushed to Jadah and tried to get her to release but she didn't budge.
"Her wolf's in control."Jax said. I felt a pulse go through me and I walked over to Jadah moving anyone out my way. I wrapped my arms around Jadah's wrist from behind and kissed her shoulder.
"Let her go."I whispered in her ear. It was like the words fell right out of my mouth. Jadah froze before she melted into my touch and soon a gaping Kim hit the floor. She was gasping for air like a fish needing water reaching for me, but I was still holding onto Jadah never wanting to let go.
"Okay. I'm calm."She said breathlessly. I still didn't let go of her and I knew that deep down she didn't want me to. Her hands moved down to where mine were placed on her waist and tried to remove them but I held onto her tighter.
"Mine." I growled feeling her shiver. I placed my face in her neck and inhaled some more of her relaxing scent.
"Malachi let me go." She said coming down from her high. I didn't listen and held her closer to me and tighter.
"You are mine!" I growled furiously, she head butted me, and elbowed my stomach. I fell to the floor holding my stomach in pain.
Calmly breathing in controlling her wolf she looked down at me coldly,"I am not yours anymore. You lost the right to call me yours when you rejected me." Every word left a sting. She then breezed out of my office leaving her scent to engulf me.
I heard her family follow leaving me on the floor.
Her touch made me feel better in every way. The way she felt in my arms made me want to never let go. I would do anything to get that feeling back.
Closing my eyes and letting my head hit the floor I felt discouraged in every way. But I won't back down I missed enough time. I will work hard to get her back, I thanked the Moon goddess for my second chance and got up leaving my office.
Jadah your ass is mine.
The nerve of that asshole! Placing his hands on me and invading my personal space. I let my emotions get the best of me and I disrespected their Luna. I palmed myself feeling so embarrassed. I walked down the stairs passing everyone watching me with smiles. The people who used to bully me smiled at me and I could feel their guilt rolling off of them in waves. Everything was too much and I needed to get out of this house.
Passing through the kitchen I snagged some Nutella and a spoon and walked out the front door. I kept walking until I was shaded underneath a tree. I breathed in deeply a few times before opening my eyes and eating some Nutella.
"Found her!" I looked up and saw Kendall on his way to me with a smile.
"I'm glad you were close I thought we lost you to the Forrest."Georgie said relieved. I gave her a small smile before continuing to eat my chocolate.
"I want to run and hide. I'm clearly not ready to be around them, I put my hands on their Luna and did you see how I melted in his arms?!" I shouted incredulously, I fell on my back covering my eyes with my arm."I should have stayed home." I muttered eating another spoonful of chocolate.
"No you shouldn't have. Despite him being your mate this is a business trip. We are here to train them and make sure they can defend themselves. Don't forget the real reason we're here."She warned me and I nodded."But back to that, that was bad but don't feel bad he's your mate and maybe the goddess brought you back together for a second chance."She shrugged not making me feel any better,"Either way it goes your reaction was inevitable Jay"She softened her voice,"Pick your head up and reign in your emotions. We still have some weapons in our arsenal trainer Jay" she mocked making me laugh and feel a hundred times better.
I got up giving my Nutella to Kendall. I felt a surge of confidence run through me.
"You're right this isn't over and I'm here on business. Only problem is that Jax is gonna kick my ass so hard for cracking and losing my composure like that!" I smiled through gritted teeth feeling the anticipation shake my body.
They both nodded cringing, I turned on my heels feeling more poised.
I walked back into the pack house using my nose until I found him.
"Can you show me to my room?" I asked politely. His gaze pierced me, I held his stare for what felt like forever before he nodded and showed me to my room.
We walked up the huge staircase cutting around some corners until he opened large doors and showed me a big room. It was dark, had a king sized bed, a big flatscreen TV with a hole in it and one thing that really caught my attention was my dress. The flannel dress I wore on my birthday, I walked over to it and picked it up.
"Whose room is this."I asked gazing at the dress. Squeezing it as I spiraled down an ocular recap of that day. Remembering the pain when I wore it.
"Mine." He said, I froze and turned around to face him, I couldn't hold back the knives that shot out of my eyes. I was simply on an emotional rollercoaster today.
"I didn't ask for a tour of your room. I asked for my room." I explained trying to be angry to hide my pain. I felt angry tears prick at my eyes, he closed the door preparing for my outburst.
"We barely had enough rooms, so I gave your family the rooms and you can sleep with me." I was about to protest but he raised his finger,"I made sure their rooms were comfortable and that they were the nicest rooms we had. I know I should've asked first but I wanted to talk to you in private and the only way to do that was to catch you off guard."He rushed, I felt a lot of emotions run through me and anger was the least prominent.
"Thank you but I'll sleep with Georgie, or Tyler." I said crossing my arms and looking away. He growled and was in front of me in a hot second.
"You will not sleep with or touch Tyler."He growled, I gave him a confused look.
"I thought you lost your wolf." I said stepping back from him.
"How did you know?" He asked stepping closer and I shrugged,
"My wolf told me. That's the only reason half of the pack was slaughtered." I said looking around the room. It smelled of me and him, and combined into an intoxicating fragrance that made me bite my lip, his growl snapped me back to reality.
"Don't speak of their deaths so nonchalantly. But you are right I did lose my wolf." He said sitting on the bed.
"I wasn't speaking lightly of their deaths, it's the truth. Where was your "Luna","I added air quotes,"During all this?" I asked rolling my eyes.
Squinting his eyes at me for a second he sighed,"No where being of assistance."Shame dripped heavily from his lips. I pulled back a bit as silence then filled the air.
"Look I'm gonna go-" Before I even got to turn around he was in front of the door blocking me from getting out. Once again my temper flared for the umpteenth time today.
"Get out of the way Malachi." I demanded watching him visibly shiver.
Fuck
"Stay." His voice softened, his eyes were beginning to pull me in. Getting lost for a second I came to beginning to push past him until his hand caught my arm sending shocks up my arm.
"Since you've been gone I couldn't sleep, eat, control myself, or think straight. Now that I've seen you and touched you and been in your presence I feel like I can finally breathe. I wish I would've came for you sooner, I know I caused our year of separation, but I will spend every day from here on out winning you over and proving myself to be worthy of your mate." His words were so sincere I felt my anger subside. I felt weak and incapable of keeping this up.
But I can't fall that fast
"Goodnight Alpha." I said removing myself from his grip and rushing out of his room.
I walked down the steps and saw Georgie,
"I'm sleeping with you."I said walking out the house to get my bags. I took my bags and carried them into the house. I saw Georgie on her phone,
"Georgie where's your room?" She put her phone in her pocket before leading me up the staircase and into a big room covered in neutrals.
I sat my bags down before going through my bag for a black sports bra, and black and blue workout leggings. I grabbed my undies, and toiletries before heading to the bathroom. I seen a shower just like the one I have at home. I sighed out loud before stripping out of my clothing and hopping into the steamy shower.
I scrubbed my body with my Honey and Jasmines body wash.
When I was done I dried off my body before throwing on my clothes. I put some deodorant on and lotion before I walked out. Georgie was on the bed lying on her stomach deep in thought so I walked over to the bed and laid beside her.
"Georgie what are you thinking about?"I asked her. Then a tear fell from her eye. I instantly sat up facing her.
"Who hurt you?" I asked.
No answer.
I took deep breaths to calm down before asking her again,"Georgie what's wrong?" I asked softly. She turned to me and grabbed my hand,
"You promise you won't be mad?" She asked and I gave her a confused look before eagerly nodding my head.
She blew out a breath and hugged me,"Lucas is my mate." She whispered in my ear. I stopped breathing for a second.
