With the defeat of Dyson and the Eclipse Gear, the system was able to return to peace.
Re-establishing a connection between each other, the planets work to find themselves, new leaders.
The retired Captain Jacklin Trudian was considered for the position of Earth leader, but whether or not she'll take it is up for debate.
Currently, she seems happy with a normal life with her girlfriend, Captain Cynthia Foxtrot who took her place at the helm of the S.S Dawn with her mates, Juliet and Ron.
Ryuka Chuma, the famous soldier, and markswoman, after losing her arm got a prosthetic, paid for her by her nation for her service.
She decided to take a little break and go home and get used to the prosthetic as her leg heals as well. But she did promise to one day make her "flashy" return to the Olympics at least.
After the battle with Dyson, the whole truth about Aibella actually being Aiba the AI made by Nexstar came out along with the fact that the link series Gears were still alive and autonomous.
That brought up a storm of issues that the law system was unable to deal with.
So what happened was, with the current state of the system and the lack of laws with artificial intelligence of that caliber, Decardo was luckily let off the hook and not sentenced to prison, however, he did have to step down as CEO and perform 1000 days of community service.
In his place, a woman named Adriana Bella took the role of CEO of Nexstar Industries.
Currently, the plan was to "capture" Aiba and the link series, but when Dyson was defeated, Aibella, Azrexel along with the Jupiter Brain, disappeared to an unknown location.
But there was still a little bit of hope in getting them.
That hope laid with the Solar Gear Solas and the Lunar Gear Lunas.
Lunas was still in the hands of the mask madam, Luna who currently was on the run, refusing to give up her Gear until they make it so what happened to her could never happen again.
Solas in the meantime was locked up in a hanger away from Yn who without a home was left to roam the city he started in.
Of course, his crewmates allowed him to stay at their places, and he did receive payment for being a part of that Crew, yet to him, something was missing.
Back where he started, Yn felt as hollow when he was a child.
The orphanage he grew up in had long since been torn down and made into a park, so he couldn't go back and reminisce.
Sitting alone on a bench in that park where his orphanage once stood, Yn, the new ace pilot who had left his mark on history was deep in thought.
Yn:.....
Joining him was Cynthia, who came to sit beside him.
Cynthia: How are you holding up?
Yn:... Fine.
Cynthia: You don't seem that enthusiastic, are you sure.
Yn:...
Cynthia: If you're feeling lonely, you can join my new crew. I would love to have you.
Yn: I would like that... If I can have Solas with me. And maybe Luna could join.
Cynthia: You know I can't decide that. And Luna is technically a criminal.
Cynthia: She might be given parole for her help, but she will still need to serve time.
A heavyweight is felt in Yn's heart.
Yn:...
He stands up.
Cynthia: Hm?
Yn: Cynthia...
Cynthia: What?
Yn:... How is it being with the old Captain?
Cynthia: Uh..? This is sudden.
Yn: Please tell me.
Cynthia: Well... It's great. I'm really happy and I believe she's as well.
Cynthia: It's like we complete each other.
Yn:.....
Yn: I've decided then...
Cynthia: On what?
Yn: I'll take care of Luna.
(Explosion in the distance)
Cynthia:?!
Seeing a bloom of smoke in the far distance of the city, the two watch as out of the smoke, Solas flies out and towards them.
Landing in the park, Solas crouches down and holds a hand out for Yn to lift him into his cockpit.
Yn: Well that's convenient... Thought I have to bust you out.
Jumping onto his hand, Solas lifts him to the cockpit while he looks down at Cynthia.
Yn: Thanks for everything Cynthia. I'll see you around.
Yn: If you ever need us, we'll be there.
Entering the cockpit, Solas leaps into the air and escapes the capital before a fight broke out with the police.
Yn: So what's this about, why did you break out now?
"Mom is going to retrieve me and Lunas in 30 minutes."
A chibi Solas said with a speech bubble.
Yn: Where are they? Luna and I need a talk.
"There nearby." Chibi Solas responded.
Yn: Then let's go!
On the other side of the plant, Lunas was being chased towards the earth.
With nowhere else to go, and the thirty minutes timer given as well, she needed to find somewhere to hide.
Perhaps, somewhere safe with Yn, Luna desperately thought. But just as that thought crossed her mind, Solas tackled Lunas towards the earth.
Yn:(coms) Luna! Long time no see!
The twin gears get caught in the earth's orbit and enter its atmosphere.
Like shooting stars, they fall towards the surface where Luna's chasers were unable to follow.
(CRASH)
Landing in what was once a forest, now a giant crater the twin gears stand up.
Luna: What the hell is wrong with you!?
She shouted out through Lunas's speaker.
Yn: What can I say, I was compelled by Solas's brotherly love for Lunas to tackle hug you into the earth!
Luna: Unbelievable...
Yn: Did you get the timer as well?
Luna: Yes... I'm not giving Lunas up. He's all I have!
Yn: I can partially relate... So why don't we go with them?
Yn: Let's go disappear with them and live in peace together.
Luna: As long as corruption still exists, I can never live in peace...
Yn: Ugh... I knew you'd give me that edgy crap!
Yn: So how about this... You owe me a fight, remember?
Yn: Right here, right now, we end whatever is left of our rivalry.
Yn: You win, I'll do whatever you want for the rest of my life.
Yn: I win, we go with the twins and learn to live in peace. Deal?
Luna:.... Very well.
The two Gears leap away from each other.
Yn: Hey Luna...?
Luna: Yes?
Yn: Are you still wearing that dumb mask on your face...?
Luna: It's not dumb, but yes.
Yn:(smiles) Good... Then I have all the motivation I need.
Luna: Huh?
Yn: I'm going to break that damn mask right off your face. And end you, Luna.
Luna: We'll see about that.
One of Crescent Lunas's spears splits apart and begins to orbit around the Lunar Gear.
The other spear's tip in the meantime splits open and creates this kind of fan shape.
Luna: HIYA!!
Lunas begins charging at his brother as electricity sparks out of its spear.
Swinging its fist back, Solas charges headfirst towards his lunar twin.
Yn: With this fist, I hold all of my burning passion...!
Focusing on his right hand, Luna then becomes surprised, as just before the two Gears impact, Solas used his left arm to swat away the spear drones and grab a hold of the weapon in Lunas's hand.
Yn: Feeling its heat scorching my flesh, I grip tighter for I know it can melt the ice in your heart!
Luna:!?
Pushing the spear asides with his left hand, Solas swings his right hand into the cockpit of Lunas.
Digging his fingers into it, the solar Gear pushes his brother back into a nearby cliff, where he tore open the cockpit, revealing Luna inside just before smashing him into the cliff.
Solas's cockpit then open and Yn leaped out of it towards Luna.
Yn: Take this!
Yn: FINAL SUNSET OVERDRIVE!
Landing inside Lunas's cockpit, Yn lands a devastating punch to Luna's face.
Yn/Luna: UGH!!
Pushing her all the way to the back of the cockpit, Yn shatters Luna's helmet.
Now with his broken fist against Luna's head, Yn looks at the blond girl whose hair falls to her shoulders.
Yn: I never told anyone that you are Luna, Celena.
Yn: So if you give up that name... That pain... You're free...
Yn: Free to do what you want...
Luna:... Why do you want me to come with you?
Yn:... I've realized something... There are only three times in my life where I didn't really feel alone...
Yn: When I'm with the crew... When I'm piloting Solas... And when I'm around you...
Luna: Around me...?
Yn: Yeah... I was too chicken to say it at the time... But when we were in each other's arms... I wanted to stay like that.
Yn: Because you were the first real person who hugged me... I know it sappy and sad!
Yn: So... So would you come with us to pester our Gears parents into letting us live with them!?
Luna:!?
Yn: I know you want to make sure no one does the Dyson incident again, but I'm sure the system has learned its lesson.
Yn:... So.. Yeah... Wanna...wanna hug or shit?
Luna:...
Yn:...
Behind Yn, Luna sees a chibi Lunas and Solas with signs saying, "Do it!".
Luna:(sigh)....
Taking a chance, Luna hugs Yn.
Yn:...
Yn: Is... Is that a yes?
Luna:... Just shut up.
Yn: Fair enough...
With that, they left.
Later when the authorities arrived to get Solas and Lunas, they were already gone without a trace, for their time was up.
Aiba got back her children along with something once belonging to her father.
(Later)
In an arena, Azrexel and Solas stood across from each other.
Yn: When we beat your rusty ass into the grown, I and Celena get to stay, alright!?
Azrexel: I'll think about it.
Solas:(glare)
Yn: You'll think about jack shit!
Azrexel:... You're right. What's the point? You'll stick around like cockroaches anyway.
Yn: Enough talk! Let's go Solas!
Yn: SHINING NOVA SWORD!!!
With his burning blade, Solas leaped into the air and swung down to strike his father who took out his blade.
The two clashed with blazing spirits.
