3rd person POV:

Entering the bridge, Aibella went up to the captain.

Aibella: I need to take the emergency shuttle out for a spin.

Jacklin: Why?

Aibella: I think I have a way to find Yn.

Cynthia:!

Cynthia: How?

Aibella: I'm not going to bore you with the science mumbo jumbo which you'll never understand.

Aibella: Can I take a shuttle and go?

Jacklin: Alone?

Aibella: You're going to need all hands on deck if you go against the eclipse Gears.

Jacklin:.... Very well. I trust you. But update me at least every 5 hours.

Aibella: Uh-huh. Don't wait up, on me and don't touch my stuff while I'm gone.

The Heart that froze: Birth of Luna

Luna narration:

I was once such a rambunctious child.

Whenever there was something I didn't agree with I would argue and fight against it with such a passion.

I started with silly little things like my bedtime schedule, and as I grew older, I began fighting for more serious subjects, like making a warm home a right to every human being.

Not once did it matter who I was up against, if I didn't agree then there would be a fight.

Even against my own mother who they say I inherited my desire to constantly try to change the world.

Once...

Celena: What!? You're really going against me on this!?

Miss Hydel: This little pet sanctuary is where I have to draw the line, my dear.

Miss Hydel: Love, do you honestly believe the taxpayers are going to fund this?

Celena: Only the rich ones who won't even know that they lost a penny.

Miss Hydel: Yes, but a town size place for animals, seems a bit extreme.

Celena: You only think that because you haven't seen a sad puppy hiding in a bush for warmth.

Miss Hydel: Oh... So this is about me and your father not allowing you a pet, is it?

Miss Hydel: Love, you know we're allergic.

Celena: It's much more than that! If you can't see that, then prepare to battle!

Miss Hydel: Don't worry love. I'm preparing for war.

Such a hothead I was...speaking without thinking...acting based on what I believed.

I was like that until my mother became ill.

Type Delta Apoptosis. A sickness where a person's own cells decide to kill themselves off. Being type Delta, it was, supposedly, incurable.

By no means could I accept that, so instead of being with her, a raged throughout the system in search of some kind of cure.

Even though I had no medical knowledge or scientific ability to develop something like that on my own, I continued to search.

Until I was given a lead, by one of the people I asked for help on.

Neso city is where I met a person who handed me a container with the supposed cure.

I didn't think twice, I took it back home and gave it to the doctors.

After that, I saw my mother who handed me her necklace before going through some kind of surgery.

A week passed with no news. No one told me anything.

Just as I was losing hope, my mother just walked through the door as if nothing had happened.

Too happy to question it, I merely accepted it. But it wasn't long before I began noticing something was off.

She was off...

Strangely so.

It was like she was just a basic intelligence with no heart or soul who had these pre-determined lines for every response.

Father changed as well. He was more distant than ever and even though my mother was saved his eyes were still had the same gloomy sadness from when she was first diagnosed with the diseases.

Life went on, but changed did occur.

Mother, never started a new campaign again.

My heart couldn't stand seeing her so blank. So I searched for answers for why she was like that.

I went back to Neso, seemingly by accident I discovered how the city was fake and underground was a factory with all kinds of fantastic instruments of science.

That's where I learned the conspiracy theories about corporations hiding advancements in technology, was not fiction.

They already had the answer for things that cost people their lives, yet they withheld it to make more money.

Releasing a slightly better smart device every year when they have one that would never need to be replaced.

Creating fundraisers to make money for research on curses they already had.

Money...money...money... The thing that the corporation began stuffing their pockets with as if their life depended on it.

It makes me wonder... would the system we live in be perfect without them?

If they had only given us...

(Sigh)

After finding the truth out, I head back to my ship and left to reveal the truth.

But my revelation did not go unnoticed. It might have even been expected.

For when I noticed how far we were from Neptune, and that we were leaving the solar system, I went to the bridge and found my mother at the controls.

She then revealed to me her plot to kill me.

Destroying the controls I was now living a nightmare where I ran from my life from the person who I thought brought me into this universe.

In the end, I accidentally killed her.

With her dying breath, she explained she wasn't my real mother. She had died long ago.

The faker was actually a cybernetically enhanced clone my own father ordered for me, to replace her but the people who made her used it to try and find out how much I knew.

Not only did I learn how my father knew about this conspiracy but my mother's image was forever tainted in my mind.

It was one horrible thing after another. And to make matters even worse, my ship crashed into a meteor.

With no choice, I escaped my ship before it blew up.

Roaming the blizzarding meteor I was stranded on, I ultimately found myself in a cave that went deep into the middle of the meteor.

There I discovered Lunas, encased in stone.

His cockpit opened up, simultaneously beckoning and daring me to enter.

Freezing I entered with the cockpit closing in on me and it becoming increasingly colder.

Celena:!?

I thought about getting out, but there was no point. Either way, I would not survive.

Celena:... So you allowed me in so you may kill me yourself...? Go ahead...

Celena: Decree the temperature to absolute zero, but you'll never be as cold as this system is!

Celena: Greedy bastards, simply filling their pockets with money... Destroying my life for their convenience!

Celena:...

Celena: If only I had the power... I would eradicate them and fix this sick joke of a system.

Celena: I'd make it beautiful inside and out!

Celena: Hehe... I'm so delirious... I'm talking to a machine trying to turn me into a popsicle...

Celena: Well if you can hear me, then I beg you, lend me your power!

Celena: It might sound cheesy...but what do I care...

Celena: GIVE ME YOUR POWER, SO I MAY BE THE ONE TO REPLACE THE DARKNESS WITH LIGHT!

Lunas then awoke, and my frozen death was avoided.

Shocked at first, I then began laughing at how what I said was seemingly what allowed me to pilot Lunas.

My laughter quickly turned to sobs as the weight of all my misfortune stuck.

When my tears dried and my heart froze, what had to be done become clear and I got to work.

I swore I'd fix this solar system.
